I never understood why they didn't put the whole concert out on CD, especially Gold Dust Woman, Songbird and Gypsy. I guess the whole double album issue came into play again (thanks Mick). Anyway, these tracks as well as Over My Head were all available on the German CD singles for Temporary One and Silver Springs, which I have, and I've converted them to MP3 for anyone who wants the complete concert from the DVD, on CD. I've seen people offer these for download before but they often sound like they were recorded off the video, and these are nice CD quality versions. I didn't upload Go Insane however, which also wasn't on The Dance CD, as that is easily available on US version of The Very Best Of Fleetwood Mac collection (so buy it if you want it) but if any European Ledgies want The Dance version of Go Insane let me know...

Thanks, Sharon. :)

Not including "Gold Dust Woman" was a huge error. That was the best we'd seen La Nicks in YEARS.

Hey! Thanks for posting that. I have always wondered why they didn't put these on there as well. I'm sure your assumption is correct. Mick is really not into that double album thing.

ESPECIALLY GYPSY! that is the best version i've heard. period. when she take the high note on 'lights up the night' i get shivers. every time. it was on the Best Buy sampler, i always put in on burnt copies of The Dance instead of SYLM. thanks for the DLs... :wavey:

By far...one of the BEST Gypsy's...I used to watch this song on the 'video'...When the Dance first came out, I always skipped it. For whatever reason, I stayed once...and then watched it probably 13 times straight. I became slightly obsessed.
I could do all the little "HEY" moves... I loved her little twirls, and then when Lindsey comes in...and the 'maybe twice'.... LOVE it all!!

I got Gold Dust Woman and Gypsy from the iTunes Music Store. They were released there as "Exclusive"

I don't have "CD" rips of the other two though, so this could be good. :)

the Dance on DVD I extracted the complete audio track to CDR to have a more complete show than the officially released CD provided...

Havent watched that DVD since.

Thanks SO much! Yeah, that GDW is the best EVER. I remember back in 10th grade we had to do a project in my lit class where everyone basically chose anything they were interested in to present, and I did Fleetwood Mac. I remember actually coming to the Ledge and asking people what video clip they thought I should show, and a lot said Silver Springs, but I went ahead and showed Gold Dust Woman. I think it was kinda scary to some people, but it still kicked

Man, the audience was downright exuberant at that show, wasn't it?

They were asked to be more conservative with the applause, etc., since it was being recorded for an album.

Personally, I've always been happy that 'The Dance' isn't marred by excessive hoots and whistles and declarations of undying love, but I know that others miss the super-charged audience reaction of arena performances.

it would be just another bootleg if all that was present. TD is probably the most-played album ever in my house. because it's so perfect and audience-free.

Dash it all, they go after seven days/25 downloads and they went... *sad* My computer and Mp3 player don't seem to like each other very much, so I only have one song on my Mp3 player (the only one that worked) and it's not a Fleetwood Mac song! *sad*
