I've noticed a lot of people here don't have their real name in their signature. I'm new here, along with a few others, and I hate the idea of addressing members by just their screen name. It's just seems kinda cold to me, and I'd like to get to know y'all. So, if you're comfortable, would you contribute to this thread? What's your screen name and your real name? Or is there already a kind of current thread about this that I missed? Thanks!!

Obviously this thread doesn't quite apply to me, but I do want to say that I prefer my actual name Victoria over the shortened "Vicky." The screen name is sort of a joke and I actually hate that nickname.

I choose Stephanie because it is both my real name and the name of the BN instrumental.

Like I said in the other thread, I'm Hillary. It's always in my sig, but then again my sig doesn't always come up and some people have sigs turned off.

I don't do the whole signature thing, but my screen name is my name. (The q is silent.)

Mari is short for Marieke. When I started posting on the ledge in '97 I didn't think non-Dutch people would be able to remember or pronounce that. And, Marieke is very common here, so I like Mari better :D

I'm Maria..... Lot's of people call me Sara on here, too. So, I'm sure it's confusing. See, Sara's my kid, and she was born in 1998. Thus the screen name. But, you didn't want an explanation of the screen name, just our real first name.

Well, I picked DavidMn, because M is the first letter in my last name, which is Marx, and Mn is the abbriviation for Minnesota, where I'm from. oh BTW, David is my first name....:rolleyes:

One of the funnier moments from when I was better known as smacdoug was when somebody asked if, based on my screen name, I was Stevie, a member of Fleetwood Mac, or an associate (the logic being s=Steve; mac=Fleetwood Mac; doug=???). That's partially why I now go by SteveMacD.

...my names not in my signature, not sure why actually...but 9 times out of 10 I end my posts with ~Nicki which is my name, (short for Nicola). Oddly, I prefer being Nic but I cant be bothered explaining the male/female thing most of the time. My ex boyf used to call me Seren, as I use Serendipity as my screen name for everything! My sign in name came from when I was heavy into drag and was my drag name. Jazmen Flowers...

When I first joined the Ledge back in 97 or 98 I was Rhiannon1979. I wish I had never done away with that account...but, oh well. Now, I try to keep all my screen names and passwords consistent.
