David

One of the old rock rags had a four-page photo spread of John's wedding to Julie, so I scanned it.

It's one of those photos when someone jumps in behind ya when the flash is going off.
Good job Stevie...way to slide in there at the last minute.

Damn. And here I was, thinking that John was a really fat, middle-aged guy with a bad moustache, and Lindsey bore a shocking resemblence to the bassist of some long-standing Anglo-American rock band. What's that band's name again?

I agree. We discussed this a bit in the Christine forum, but I think it's completely bizarre that Chris was at his wedding, even if it was in her old house.
Thanks for posting these pictures, David.:) I hadn't seen them before.

Awesome- thanks for posting. To me, the fact the Chris was so involved shows that she still cared for him, but the Mac all showed that to each other in some way or another over all these years.

I can see the resemblance in the first and second pictures, too. The rest, not so much. John looks so very dapper. Now, Stevie? Snortin' something in the bathroom, no doubt... :sorry:

Thanks for posting those, David. Very interesting pictures! I especially love the picture of Stevie and the picture of Ron Wood---very funny. Also, it is amusing to see how some magazine don't double check their information. Lord, these people need an editor.

The PR woman is also wearing one of Stevie's "moon" necklaces. A present no doubt from La Nicks. You know she could very well have been selling off her stuff on Ebay. Interesting, huh. Email her back and ASK! LOL.

Email her back and ASK! LOL.Many years ago -- back before some of you were born, I daresay -- I bought Sharon Weisz's Tusk Tour baseball jacket from a place in Glendale called Rockaway Records.
If you're in communication with Ms. Weisz, why not ask her whether she'd like to participate in a Q&A here at the Penguin? There's a photo of her in the Tusk tourbook, & I believe there's also a photo of her with a camera in the 1980 FM cover story in Rolling Stone.

a huge 'thank you' for posting those, I'd never seen most of them before.
stevie does look totally wasted.
and regarding the resemblance between chris and julie-- i'd never really noticed it before, but I do see it in a couple of those pictures. interesting. Love the one of john w/ chris and jule and mick's little girls, very sweet.
I think it was wonderful that chris attended that wedding. How could she not have gone? In an odd way, it would have been so much weirder if she hadn't been there and the rest of them were, esp for that time when the band was tight and they were all still basically in each other pockets. FMac normalcy is not 'real world' normalcy. :) I think it shows what a big person Chris was/is. :xoxo:

Thanks for sharing this David....when was the wedding?
I'm thinking it was April 24th, 1978? His divorce was finalized in Feb 1978, so it wasn't too long after that.
I know somewhere on this site we have the wrong date listed somewhere...I always mean to change it....

By the way, only this week did I find out that my English teacher met John and Christine in Belfast. He's been my teacher for two months and he's only told me now?!
I was bowled over, as you can imagine. He said he was at one of their concerts, pre-Buckingham Nicks, so I presume that was when he met them. He said he saw them in a restaurant and just walked over and sat and talked to them for about half an hour. Said they were very nice, really down to earth and 'all about the music'.
Just thought I'd share that! I still haven't quite gotten over it...

Ofcourse, it sometimes takes John half an hour to get out at least ONE sentence.

It does seem to take him awhile sometimes to assemble his thoughts, but in the end I think his comments end up being the most honest and heartfelt....he doesn't just ramble and spout off just to hear himself to talk.
