hiya! ive just been wondering about this picture, because im sure someone said something about it before but i cant remember. speaking to anyone - do you think this is a natural or posed picture? because if its natural its very cute, but its a bit......i dont know.....ironic in a way, what with chris looking away holding a suitcase, & john holding her hand and reaching out for her trying to give her a flower, was the photographer trying to say anything? any thoughts on this? just wondering

This isn't a natural picture. It's posed. It's just one of many photos from those 1978/1979 Tusk photo sessions. It's in the Tusk tour book.

Horribly bizarre if you ask me.
I do wonder just to what extent it was posed. That shoot was in that bizarre cold freight sort of area. I could see Chris sort of mucking about w/ a suitcase...and John sort of getting darkly humorous about it. IMO it seems odd that any photographer would actually say, "okay, John, pretend to beg Chris to stay while she picks up her suitcase and makes like she's leaving you."

But then again, who knows....

I don't know but I LOVE this picture. It's my favorite of Chris ever, I think she looks so gorgeous in it.

Remember, we're talking about Fleetwood Mac here. They spent a year recording an album about the break ups. This picture is hardly the oddest thing they've ever done. Actually, I bet John and Chris thought it was hilarious and went with it. John was probably married to Julie and Chris knee deep in the hoopla with Dennis Wilson. Given that John got married in Christines's old house and Christine was at the wedding, my hunch is that both had gotten to a point where they could laugh at it.

yeah, i agree w/ you that they had a sense of humor about it by then. I was just saying that I doubt it was posed. what photographer would ask two people who've divorced to do that, even if they are in FMac? IMO that would be strange. but i guess stranger things have happened...
