My mom called and said that one of the co-hosts (sorry, can't remember which one she told me) was really praising Stevie this morning. He/she said that because of what Stevie said last week about visiting the troops at Walter Reed, they have literally been bombarded with visitors and are having to turn folks away. Now they've established a website for donations, gifts, etc. (Mp3s? :p ) Anyway, they said that she really made a difference and all that jazz.

Just wanted to share. Sorry if this has already been discussed...I'm at work and can't search every Stevie thread! ;)

Hmmm  ...um  ...I could use 100 hydrocodone/APAP 75/700's, if you feel like shipping some out my way. (only 1/2  , 1/2 serious)

That's so amazing. She is so powerful and I hope she knows how strong of an impact she has on people. She has a voice and she's using it to speak to the masses and not just with her music but with her influence! That's a true gift and I have so much respect for people who use their star power to accomplish good things in this world (and especially those who really mean it, not just for the free press). God I love her so much!

Maybe next time she goes to Walter Reed she'll perform Desert Angel!!
