I'm liking the season so far. It got off to a slow start considering the big cliffhanger last season, but I thought tonight's episode was a real return-to-form.

I won't spoil it for you West Coast Ledgies - but the placement of Lionel Richie's "Stuck on You" was just about the best use of music in any show ... ever.

SPOILER

When Costa starting grabbing Christian's ass, I shrieked with laughter. The sheer amount of sex in this episode was shocking. Rhona Mitra is a bloody riot. Were you just hoping that Sean would beat the **** out of Matt? I was.

I was so happy when Sean and Julia schtupped each other, too.

I laughed out loud 4 or 5 times during this episode. And yes, the biggest laugh was when Sean finally clocked Matt. I know he's been through a lot, but he conveniently left out the real bit that started his downward spiral - when he got stoned and ran over that chick.

And speaking of stoned, my fave scene of the entire show's run so far was when Matt and Grandma Erica got baked last week:

- Matt (smirking when she catches him): "Want a hit?"
- Erica pauses, then grabs the bong.
- Erica (coughing and hacking): "You poor younger generation kids just don't know what *good* pot tastes like. This is sh*t!!!"

Rhona Mitra is a bloody riot.

She's brilliant, but could her character have a worse name? Kit McGraw does not go with that lovely accent.

PS: I hate Dr. Costa. The slimy little bastard.

I can't escape the feeling that Dr. Costa is The Carver - dunno why. I know he's from Atlanta or something, but he obviously has the means to travel at will.

And are we the only 3 watching? Or the only 3 who will admit it?

So far their plastic surgery storylines have been great - especially the first episode with the lady whose skin had fused with her couch, and last night's frat boy initiation gone wrong. "Stuck on You" indeed.

I haven't caught every episode, but the one I did see last week (I think it may have been the season premier), where he's in bed with the detective(?) and his girl walks in and he say's something along the line of "Hi Baby, I'm back" and then she join's them. That was so funny. Sorry if this has already been discussed, I'm alittle slow.

No, it hasn't been discussed. And I love how it led to this week's almost-4-way including Dr. Costa. "It's not my girlfriend I'm having a problem with - it's my girlfriend's girlfriend... Wanna help?"

Oh, and I keep meaning to tell you: My Dad loves your hog (he was reading over my shoulder the other day). He has a couple himself - one small 1980 sport model, and one huge behemoth complete with a sidecar. They're a life-long interest for him, and they really make him happy. As for the rest of us, it's fine. Except when he's trying to adjust the carburetor at 7:00 AM on a weekend, or brings home Harley t-shirts that say stuff like "If you can read this, the bitch fell off" on the back.

I love Nip/Tuck, I have just been avoiding this thread because I haven't watched this weeks show. I have it Tivoed. I loved last week ~ well, I think I did. It really got to me. I don't care for Matt & he sure got his but the other guy that was in the gang that was beat up bothered me. I loved when Julia walked in to find her mom smoking out. That rocked.

I got the feeling from last night's episode that Costa might be The Craver, but then thought it would be too obvious. I think the writers are just using him as a red herring. They said it will be a main character though. It just better not be Liz with a strap on or I'll boycott. :p

BTW- I loved when Sean punched Matt in the face.

"You wouldn't mess up your perfect work."

"I already have." Classic.

Yeah - that beating was pretty harsh. Were they just "jumping him out" (or whatever it's called), or did they kill him? I was so shocked by the trannies peeing on Matt that I never really noticed if the gang banger was alive at the end.

And sorry if we spoiled last night's episode. I waited as long as I could. :p

That would be way left-field, and I would be very upset also. However, given all the crap she's taken from Christian over the years, it would be poetic justice given that the Carver raped Christian.

And - something else I wondered - do the victims *feel* what The Carver is doing? I know he injects them with a drug that paralyzes them. But does it take away sensation as well as motor control?

Me, too. I'll stop watching it, that's just too insane for me. Kimberly blowing up the complex on Melrose I can take, but not Liz with a strap-on.

It would be a gas if it was Matt, that's for sure.

But seriously - http://www.fxnetworks.com/shows/originals/niptuck/main.html

Seasons 1 & 2 are on DVD, and you can buy or rent them. And if you hurry, you can be caught up by next Tuesday!

Also, the current episode repeats on Friday and Sunday nights that I've seen, and maybe even more days given cable programming lately.

Here's Big Mama. Don't currently have pics of the sportster, tho - we took pics for insurance purposes before the storm a few weeks ago, but those are in the safety deposit box.

http://users4.ev1.net/~iansnana/hogdog.jpg

The sidecar was originally purchased for my Mom or nephew to ride in, but you can see who ultimately claimed the seat. You wouldn't believe the looks he gets zooming around town with Makita drooling out the side. And yes, she has her own helmet - I have no idea why she's not wearing it in this pic.

But have I even been OFFERED a ride in the sidecar? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

(Sorry - a little bitter. )

^Very nice  First question, what year are the bikes? Do you call your dad big mama, because if you do that is hilarious! you probably meant the bike. When you get your pictures back, I would love to see a picture of the sportster (that's what mine is). That is really cute with the dog in it. You need to get him some doggie goggle's  . Does your dad do much riding, take any long trips? You memtioned the storm, were you affected?

Here are some pictures from my web site of a photo shoot we did for a truck newspaper (hubby works in the trucking industry). The old black FLH is his and the girls are my niece and her friend. They work for us.

I have the first two seasons on DVD and have passed them around to friends and family who have all become hooked on it.

This week's episode was pretty great. Last week with the ape was kind of dull until Matt got the **** kicked out of him. But this week with Quinten grabbing Christian's ass and Sean hitting Matt...awesome!

I could talk about this show forever, but I gotta go eat soon. Chuck, ever been to the Fish Spot? (No, don't read into that any further!) Best burgers in TC...thinking I'm gonna do that for lunch today.

OMG. I fell out of my chair at the end of tonight's episode. I was SHOCKED when The Carver's latest victim turned out to be Kit. I was thinking Kimber, but it was Kit. Great episode, too; the best of the season. Loved that scene between Christian and Kathy Baker, I hope they bring her back.

Season one and two are out on DVD, and season one is only $15.99 this week at Best Buy! You must start watching it, it's the best. Everything about it is perfection; the acting, the outrageous plots, the music (no other show has such an amazing soundtrack: Blondie, Supertramp, Lionel Richie, Bowie, Rolling Stones, etc.). And the last scene with the old woman getting the facelift made me want to puke...and I was like, hello, there's a woman on the table, fight later...you know.

Last night's show was indeed creepy. But I think McNamara is beyond the point to be helped by Prozac - maybe electroshock?

And something has been bugging me about last week's episode about Christian's wrongful arrest. Are we supposed to assume that Kit did plant the evidence in the victim's house? I just can't imagine The Carver doing that, especially if he took revenge on Kit for saying Christian was the murderer... If Kit didn't plant the condom, etc., then who did?

And I was surprised they were so subtle about Gina's porta-potty activities in last night's show. Especially given the sexual scenarios they've shown overtly in the past.

But I'm looking forward to Joan's return next week! "I love face cream!"

I know! Hell, give him a lobotomy.

Now that you mention that, I wondered the same thing. Will those issues ever be resolved? The condom is a HUGE question mark.

Gina is such a little slut - I love it, BUT I do feel a little reservation by showing an HIV+ character acting that way...not sure how I feel about that just yet...I'm still chewing.

"I give my sons these little amber vials. They fill them for me, and then put them on my nightstand. It's the least they can do - it's not like I'm asking them to empty the dishwasher!"

Was that really Anne Heche as the witness protection chick? Amazing.

Joan Rivers was great, but if she starts selling the face mask for reals, and is using the show to launch it, I'll be superpissed.

Oh, and I now think Kimber is The Carver - something about the way she told Christian to just forget all about Sean and dissed him. It didn't add up given the history she has with Sean. And she had access to Christian's condoms too, since they still haven't answered that question. For some reason, I can't imagine Kit planted it, spurned lover or not.

I think Kimber would doing anything to have Christian - including acting sane, which I'm not convinced she is given her earlier troubles. Her motive would be to destroy Kit, giving that she was only in the 3way to please Christian in the first place. If she planted the condom, it gave her an excuse to carve Kit for blaming the wrong person. Plus, I'm sure she was familiar with and probably had access to Kit's apartment.

It's probably a stretch - but just a nagging feeling I got tonight. Now watch it turn out to be Annie.

Oh - sorry - you meant her motives in general? Maybe she's just crazy? I'm thinking about all that stuff she did in Season 1 - all the coke, the spray paint and harrassment stuff, typing Christian to the bed and threatening to cut off his johnson... It all kinda adds up in a weird way to me.

Plus, remember how obsessed she was with her own body and looks, and how she basically felt forced to get surgery to land magazine covers and work? She wanted stardom at any cost. I can totally imagine a scenario where she developed a dual personality. And with being The Carver, she gets to rail against those perfection and fame issues at the same time as becoming famous for her crimes. Win-win scenario in a fractured mind...

Maybe I should just have another beer. :]

Christian and his mom was so sad, I almost cried when she rejected him at the end of the episode. Couldn't believe it when he offered her free plastic surgery, I thought he was an ass for that. You just know that he's going to take out his being rejected on Kimber and she's going to go mental.

Costa and Julia just grossed me out...it's wrong on so many levels. Da Le Mer is ****ing hideous, I sure as **** wouldn't pay money to stay there. Matt is such a petulant little **** that I just want to slap him.

Sean is just soooooo damned cute, but he's also soooooo damned stupid.

I agree with everything you say here. It wasn't that I disliked it at all, but you're right that it really is cool that I still didn't want to miss any of it even though there wasn't someone being slashed or a big f*ck scene.

BUT - what was Costa snorting before he said hello to Julia? It looked like poppers or a coke bullet, but then I was thinking it might be some aromatherapy vial from the spa...

oh my god, I saw that! I figured it was coke. Especially from the way the top of the vial looked. It kind of resembled a Monte Blanc pen upside down.

Toyota Yanks Spots from 'Nip/Tuck'

Following a letter-writing campaign by the conservative media watchdog group Parents Television Council, Toyota has pulled its commercials from the FX drama Nip/Tuck. Last night was tame. They get away with all kinds of stuff; dick, pussy, twat, slut, ****, etc. Some of the season two episodes were extreme when it came to sex. Did you see the episode where Christian broke his nose while performing oral sex? Or the three-way episode from last season? Oy! Reminds me of Skinemax sometimes.

I just watched Tuesdays episode last night. Christians mom broke my heart. I loved this episode. I like the way the are developing Christian. Sean has gone jolly bonkers getting involved with Ann Heche's character. It's gong to be trouble for him. And Julia getting involved with Dr Wack Job Costa. OMG ~ how gross is he. I have no idea what he was snorting but it wasn't candy. I loved how Matt tried to go over to his Dad’s and piss him off and walked into his house like a stranger. I don’t like Matt at all and I hope he gets everything that’s coming to him. Next weeks show looks wild. That lady that wants to look like a Kimber Doll. FREAKY :p

I cannot express with words how much I abhorred tonight's episode. It was absolutely disgusting on so many levels that my brain is fried from trying to understand what goes on in the heads of these writers. Though, I must admit, I was tickled pink that they actually got away with using the phrase "c*ck up the ass."

1) I figured Kimber was gonna get it from the Carver. I thought it was going to happen last week when someone knocked on the door and she told Sean to come in. Anyone know how many more episodes we get this season? I'm wondering how long until we get to see who the Carver is.

2) Quentin getting screwed by the patient

3) Christian's patient putting the bag over her head

4) "Fat Bottom Girls"

This was great all around tonight. I hope next week's is good with the plane crash and not hokey like ER's "disaster" episodes.

Again, my prediction came true - I didn't post after last week, but I just knew that Kimber wouldn't leave Christian at the alter. When Christian and Sean walked in, I expected her to be a bloody mess on the floor-sliced and diced a la Carver. Especially w/ the lipstick message on the mirror. Who is the Carver dammit??? You know who we didn't see tonight? Julie's partner, what's her name. Hmmmm....

Tonight was weird - I didn't enjoy Christian at all..."double bag it," that was funny!

I was greatly disturbed by it. I actually felt dirty as I was watching it. When the scene with the paper bag finally rolled around, I said f*ck this and flipped to Anderson Cooper. The one redeeming scene was Kimber and the Carver, but then they screwed it up with that masochistic bull**** at the end.

Just all around sleaziness at a rate that this show has never offered up before. We were so right about the strap-on! But I WAS surprised at why the strap-on was used. I didn't see it coming.

I really dug the dream sequence. It was black comedy at it's finest. Seeing "old Sean" screwing Julia cracked me up.

The way they edited Quentin attacking Sean and Christian with the scenes of Ariel's dad getting ready to slice off Matt (or Cherry's) pecker was genius. It was truly intense. I almost peed when he cut Sean's finger off. And then Matt sliced off Cherry's dingaling. Ack, I was dying. It? Was intense.

I thought for sure that he had killed Gina, so I was relieved when she didn't die. She's so funny.

I was gagging as Kit described what the Carver had done to Kimber. That was some sick ****, man.

Hated the way they used the whole sperm face cream plot again. It was so stupid. But it gave us a fab scene for Liz.

I am so glad Quentin is gone! For good, I hope. He bugged the **** out of me. I personally thought it was insanely stupid how it turned out to be him. I was surprised by it, too, but I still thought it was cheap. They recycled a bit too much for my tastes last night. Practically the same cliffhanger as the first season, only instead of paternity, it was "What's wrong with Julia's baby?" And they shamelessly ripped off last season's finale that revealed Ava was a man, only this time, Quentin just didn't have a dick because of freaky incest in his family.

I still think Gina or Kimber should have been his sister instead of Kit.
