Get a load of the clarity & focus of my photos. I really think I give Tiff a run for her money.

Thanks, David.

Sorry about blurry pics. I wish I were a photographer like Tiff or some of the others on the board here. I do better with a digital than I used to do with a 35mm, but 1980 was long before digital. But here are some clearer photos of the first night at the Bowl, shot by a lady named Dorian Boese.

These are great! I love them.
Now, is that a pink outfit, or is it just the lighting?

Those aren't too bad. Better than some of the ones I took for SYW and I had a digital camera and front row. :o You are one lucky person. I would have loved to be at that show...any Tusk show, for that matter! Where were the closest seats you ever had for an FM show?

The first set of photos made me wonder if they used one of your photos for the cover of Fleetwood Mac Live album.

The first set of photos made me wonder if they used one of your photos for the cover of Fleetwood Mac Live album.rofl!! I wish I had taken that cover photo -- that's one of my favorite FM photos.

I took blurry photos & I made some of the poorest audience tapes of shows throughout the entire fan community. I think I also have a bunch of blurry shots of FM at the Forum & Oakland in 1979, FM Irvine Meadows 1982, & Stevie at Irvine Meadows 1983. But I don't want to be the only person posting blurry photos & hence stick out like a sore thumb. Others should post blurry photos, too, from the pre-digital camera days.

People like Tiffany raise the bar unfairly.

So true about Tiffany. Thing is you saw the Tusk Tour while sweet Tiff was probably, well in diapers.

And yes, that cover photo is great. Always been a fav of mine.

Your photos do not stick out like a sore thumb. Glad to at least have a chance at using my imagination to how geat it must have been to see that Tusk and Mirage Tour.

Thanks for posting these, David. The blurriness actually adds to their arty-ness.

But, wow, that stage sure looks awfully big and empty without all of the additional musicians and backing vocalists!

I would have loved to have been at those Bowl shows...but I was only 15.
I'm thankful that I got to see them a few weeks before in San Antonio.
17th row...it was an amazing evening...and it solidified my bond with Stevie and her music to this day. That's the power of music... :xoxo:

I wonder what even happened to her?

Your photos aren't really that bad. At least you had a real camera. I only had a Polaroid One Step (remember those? ) and Stevie looked like a little dot in the one photo that I bothered to take back in Providence in 1979. I still think that I have that awesome photo around someplace.

Actually, she wasn't even born yet.

David - I don't care if they're blurry or not, they are great & thanks for sharing them with us!

BTW - For Angel, do you remember if was Stevie wearing a black & sliver shawl? Kind of like the Stand Back cape? Hard to tell in the pic, but it looks similar.

Wow, those photos are about the same angle & distance from where I was sitting...(and the same blurriness, too...many, many, many glasses of vino in the limo on the way to the Bowl...and other "naughties", too. *puff**snort* :) ) I probably sat next to you and we didn't even know it!

BTW - For Angel, do you remember if was Stevie wearing a black & sliver shawl? Kind of like the Stand Back cape? Hard to tell in the pic, but it looks similar. :shrug:I love telling this. This was one of my trivia questions, I think, wasn't it? Stevie actually wore a pants suit kind of thing one night, & wore her Stand Back cape the other night. Of course, back then it wasn't her Stand Back cape.

Somebody asked me earlier about the pink. Yes, she was in pink the first night, same color she wore throughout a lot of the tour. But on the last night she wore all black -- it was rockin' (because she hadn't worn all black in a long time). It was as if she was saying, "People kept me out of my black with their stupid stories, but this is the last night so I'm wearing black & they can go screw themselves!"

You guys have been nice about my terribly blurry pictures. Now I don't feel bad. I want to post my other blurry pictures from the City of Hope show & Stevie's Irvine Meadows show. But photobucket isn't working.

It was some jerk who, during World Turning, kept insisting that it was a very old song by some metal band or something. I told him two or three times, 'No, Fleetwood Mac wrote it.' But I soon grew weary & decided I'd watch the show instead.

No, different venue altogether. The Clapton show was about 4 years earlier and at the Forum, not the Hollywood Bowl.

As John Cleese said, "I COULD'VE been arguing in my SPARE time!"

Or, maybe I was the guy on the OTHER side of you, yakking on the people in front of me during "Go Your Own Way"?
