I went to the New Year's show in Las Vegas. Probably the last time I'll ever hear Rooms On Fire live.

I second that!

God, if I could just hear one OSOTM song live I would die happy. I'm still keeping the faith that she will break out Rooms on Fire or Whole Lotta Trouble one of these days.

"Whole Lotta Trouble" i've seen her do live before, so I don't need to see that again.. but "Rooms On Fire" has eluded me for over a decade...

on the "Whole Lotta Trouble" tour of 1991, i was soooo close to going to the Jones beach show, but i ended up not being able to get a ticket, so i missed that opportunity.. I had only been a fan for about 2 months anyway at that point..

on the "Street Angel" tour of 1994, I saw her second show of the tour, and she hadn't added "Rooms On Fire" to the setlist as of yet... so i got stuck with the god-awful "Docklands" instead...

then, i was supposed to go to the NYE Millenium show in Vegas, but ended up not going due to me breaking up with my boyfriend at the time (who i had planned on going with).

so, umm yeah.. i wanna see her do "Rooms" at least once in my lifetime..

I didn't start seeing Stevie live till 2003. WTF was I thinking all those years? Why did it take me so long? :(

At least you had the oppurtunity to see Stevie all these years. I was litterally sucking my thumb and still in diapers during the Other Side of the Mirror tour so there was cleary no possible way I could have seen any of those show. If only I was born ten years earlier then I wouldn't have missed out on all this fun stuff!

That's crazy talk!

My least favorite Stevie song is It's Only Love, which everyone seems to love, so I guess I just have bad taste! And my favorite song is Alice, which has got to be one of the least liked Stevie songs ever. But, it just gets me every time. I love it! So, yeah, I just have strange taste!

I think I saw 3 or 4 of them. Some before new years, some after. I have to check my ticket stubs. I am almost certain one was on my birthday. I remember not going to the last one because I was burned out on them

  I totally know the feeling. When that song came on at Jones I was like "WTF?" People around me were saying "what is this song?" I was there with my Dad, Mom, one of my brothers, and my ex boyfriend. My parents thought Docklands was good. My brother and ex hated it.

I went to the 12-31-99 show at the House Of Blues. Let me indulge with a story here. In October of that year my friend calls me and says "You got your money saved up? We're going to see Stevie on New Year's Eve in Vegas!" I was like "And how exactly are we going to do that?" I figured that with ti being so close to new years and it being Vegas we wouldnt get a room for like within 100 miles or more. Plus I figured that airfares would be ridiculous. Well after some prodding, I checked into airfares and I was able to get a roundtrip From Minnespolis to Vegas on United for $210. Going out on 12-31, returning on 1-1. We decided not to try to get a room and just stay up all night and come back in the morning. Well, we got to Vegas at like 930 A.M and hightailed it over to Mandalay Bay to get in line because we had those General admission tickets, which meant we'd be standing on the dance floor. Well we got there at 10 to find we were in pretty good shape, 6th in line. We ended up waiting 11 hours before they opened the doors, and I made a mad dash for the stage, and my friend and I ended up right in front of Stevie's Mic. The show was unforgettable to say the least. But the only thing I had a major problem with was the merchandise.(Surprise, Surprise) The Pink New Years Eve shirts were going so fast that I had to make a decision; try to rush up there and buy a few and risk losing my spot or go without. SO I made a split second decision to run up and I bought 2 pink shirt, 2 of the white ones and a coffee mug. I managed to make it back to my spot just in the nick of time or I wouldnt have been able to get up there. That was the first night I got to shake Stevie's hand during Edge too!!!. After the show, I ran into a fellow from Amdterdam, and a young lady from Pennsylvania that didnt get anything because of the Clusterf**k that was Chris Nicks. I felt reallt bad, so I gave one of my pink shirts to the guy from Amsterdam, and one of my white ones to the gal from Penn. They each gave me $20, the price of the shirts. They were so grateful, and I felt pretty good too. I mean I didnt really need all that anyway. I still have my pink shirt in the closet at home. One of my prized possesions.

I went to the opening night. Met some great people in line, including the woman who gave Stevie the Snoopy doll during the HBO concert. Wonder if she's on this board?

Really? that's a cool story. I know what you mean about meeting great people in line. I met my friend Debbie from CLeveland in Line that day, and we're freinds to this day. In fact I've been to CLeveland to hang out with her, and we went to Columbus, Pittsburgh, and CLeveland on the SYW tour together. Those types of friendships last forever. :)

Although I've always liked Stevie and FM, she cast her "spell" on me at the HOB show in LA on 12-28-99. Being so close, I got a lot of stage interaction with her that night, especially during ROF and WLOT. It was awesome. :D Since then, nothing past the 5th row will do for any Stevie or FM show (for me anyway). ;) Stage interaction with Stevie is priceless..just ask my Mastercard. :D

I was at the 12/28/99 West Hollywood show.
I went to both of the House of Blues shows.

I got out of the shower, dolled myself up, took the elevator down to the street, walked around the corner and up the hill and parked myself at the front of the stage.

You must have been right next to me. Though I ate dinner there before the shows I saw. I can't for the life of me remember which shows I went to - I have a stub for the 29th, but I know there were some after the first too....

Why didn't we know each other then ? Silly.

Whenever I go to shows at HOB, I always stand at the right of the stage in front of the speakers- it makes it so much easier to zip out the back stairs when the concert's over.

Why didn't we know each other then ? Silly.
You're telling me...
