Well, the postseason lineup is complete. Thank you Cleveland for blowing it the last weekend so my Red Sox could make it once again!!!! :) It's nice to see someone else choke for a change. Here's the matchups and my "Expert" analysis.
Red Sox/White Sox: This series is going to be a good one. The White sox had some flaws exposed on their pitching staff, none more so than John Garland. The Red Sox have had their pitching troubles as well, but I believe that Boston's Superior Lineup will win out over Chicago's Pitching. Prediction: Boston in 5
Yankees/Angels: The Yankees have to be very careful here. By losing to the Red Sox today, they ceded home field advantage in the first round to the Angels. I believe this will hurt them more than most people might think. Mike Mussina will be a key for the Yankees, as his last month or so has been less than stellar. Prediction: Angels in 5
Padres/Cardinals: There's nothing really to be said here in my opinion. St.Louis will win this in a walk:prediction: Cardinals in 3
Braves/Astros: Once again, the Braves pitching staff is built more for the regular season than the postseason. Prediction: Astros in 4
ALCS: Angels/Red Sox: this will in my opinion be a great series. Very close ball games that will go right down to the wire. That being said, two great sluggers are better than one. Prediction: Red Sox in 6
NLCS: Astros/Cardinals: The 1,2,3 of the Astros pitching staff will be too much for the Cardinals. remember the Astros almost won this series last year. Prediction: Astros in 7
WORLD SERIES: Red Sox/Astros: As much as I hate to say this, I think once again the Astros pitching will win out here, bringing the Houston Astros their first World Championship. Astros in 7.
