I'm looking for people to form two tribute bands: Lindsey Buckingham & Kate Bush. If you're interested & live in the Los Angeles area, please e-mail or call me & we will discuss our options.

P.s. I am forming these tribute bands because it is just about the only music I can play already. Although I can do Rickie Lee Jones, too -- I downloaded a bunch of her sheet music off her Web site.

I am interested but I don't live in the LA area or play any instruments. I would love to volunteer to take some photos but that whole living about 3000 miles away might be a problem. :(
Good luck finding people to join your band!

Do you have a Kate Bush? Those are tough shoes to fill! Or, a lot of octaves to fill.
I used to do "The Man With the Child In His Eyes", but I think that is one of her easier ones.

Do you have a Kate Bush? Those are tough shoes to fill! Or, a lot of octaves to fill.I don't worry about filling shoes -- that's what shoehorns are for. All I care about is getting to play this wonderful music with other like-minded individuals. That's the only thing that matters.

We'll do every Kate Bush song we can identify -- "Leave It Open," "Blow Away," "Song of Solomon," "The Fog," "Mother Stands for Comfort," "Suspended in Gaffa," "Oh England My Lionheart," "Never Be Mine" &c.

Join! It will be fun!

You are right, I shouldn't have used that tired old metaphor anyway. I almost stopped myself while typing it. Besides, nobody uses a shoehorn anymore.

Darn, I wish I could! I live in Santa Cruz, so rehearsals would be quite difficult.
Oh, but I love those songs so much! I just went to look at the row of albums - what a beautiful face! The eyes! Some of my other favorites: : "Breathing", "Army Dreamers", "Night of the Swallows".
I am in LA sometimes to see my mother, so I hope you will post show dates.
Now I should go look for that recording of "The Man With the Child in His Eyes"...

Hey David,

If you promise to buy me a Model One, I'll move to L.A. Deal?

Hey I know a girl name of Ellen from Baltimore that would be great for your Kate Bush tribute.Since Kate went into seclusion she has been honing her Kate imitation for the last dozen years or so.She even moved to the wily windy moors of England awhile back so the accent shouldn't be a problem. She's a good singer and a fine keyboard player too.Her last album wasn't very good and didn't do too well either so she may be looking for a new gig and what with the impending Return of the Queen who knows?

I'm waiting on that model One offer, David. *wink*....I have a pretty decent backing-vocal-style, too.
