What's with Anderson Cooper giving to an (R)?
It's Rick Elser from CT, I wouldn't be alarmed; probably a Yale buddy. He got his ass kicked when he ran, I think he got less than 25% of the vote. His platform kind of sucked; he concentrated on economic issues and very little else. Didn't seem very bright to me.
dissention
10-01-2005, 12:24 AM
mmm. I figured it was something like that. I mean, he's got to have tons of rich friends and stuff.
I think that's part of the reason why Elser lost, because he was so rich. I remember his campaign was making statements about how he was a member of this country club and that country club. Not the kind of **** you want to publicize when you're running on an "I'm for the poor" platform.

He is. I was also going to add that Lou knows that the eradication of the middle class is not conducive to a sound capitalist society.
For some people, it would seem that just being wealthy isn't enough. They have to have more, have it all and at the expense of the less fortunate. I find it quite despicable.
So even though I don't always agree with everything Dobbs says, I really have to give him credit for all of the focus he has put on the outsourcing of jobs and it's impact on our middle class.

Did anyone try searching for John's donations. Stevie and Lindsey have theirs listed. I typed in his name but couldn't find it. Then again, he probably has the same pattern as Lou Dobbs. I heard somewhere he switched sides during last year's election. Probably because of the country's ever-growing debt.
Interesting sidenote: Don Henley gave to only one Republican. Kay Bailey Hutchinson when she was running for the senate. Pretty interesting.
