I like it, always have. Fun to sing along to. Nothing all that groundbreaking or anything, but it's a good song & she sings it well. Music is OK.
I like these lyrics:
Till she finally finds out...that she's like all the rest
With her fog...her amphetamines...and her pills
AND
It was raining from the first
And I was dying there of thirst
So I came in here
And your long-time curse hurts
But what's worse...is this pain in here
I can't stay in here...ain't it clear...
That I just don't fit
Yes, I believe it's time for me to quit
When we meet again...introduced as friends
Well please don't let on that you knew me when
I was hungry...and it was your world

I'll listen to it because it's catchy and fun but it's just not a Stevie Nicks song and it's so obvious to me when I hear it. Some of the things she says are just not words I would expect to come out of her mouth and I cringe sometimes when I hear them. I can't listen to it without thinking it's a Bob Dylan song and I'm not a big fan of the music to this song.
However....I love love love hearing my girl say "She makes love just like a woman...yes she does". The song gets 5 stars just to hear her say that :p.

Bob Dylan's version is perfection so when I first heard this it annoyed me. But over the years I have grown to love and appreciate Stevie's version.
I voted "yay."

Love it. I love the way she sings it. Even though SA was supposed to be the "Klonopin album", I think she puts a lot of emotion into this song. Top 3 for SA, top 20 overall for me.

Same here...although I've hung on to the "annoyance". Of all the Bob Dylan songs that Stevie COULD'VE picked, this was not a good choice.

If I had my way, she would have covered "One More Cup of Coffee" with David Crosby.
I loathe this song.
No one asked you.

That is one of my favorite songs, and even though I can't imagine making it better, I actually think Crosby and Nicks would be a great combo.

Good choice.
And, I can hear her doing an almost "I Know I'm Not Wrong"-type arrangement of "Silvio", too.
"Shelter From The Storm" would also be a pretty good choice for her.
And, maybe a rousing duet version of "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35" with Tom Petty backed by the Heartbreakers and produced by Jeff Lynne.

I love it, and I love Bob's version.
And I exactly opposite disagree with what ChiliD says here. I think it's one of the most appropriate songs she could've picked, if not the most. The lyrics go well with her, IMO.

I really like it, it's a beautiful version, and sung by Stevie becomes a more involving song, IMO.

That would've been fabulous!!! I can absolutely hear it in my head. (It must just be an amazing all-around song, no matter who does it, because the White Stripes' version of it is one of very favorite tracks of theirs.)
Just Like A Woman is my favorite Bob song ever. The live version on Concert For Bangladesh with George Harrison and Leon Russell gives me shivers every time. His entire performance on that video is awesome. (It will finally be released on DVD on Oct. 25th, which will include an additional Bob song not on VHS.) I enjoy Stevie's version very much, and I like her stories in interviews about how she came to record it, but I had to rate it second best because Bob's version is just over the moon. It's funny how she can't help but sing like Bob in the song too...can anyone?!

I'm an enigma wrapped in a mystery that's rolled in a conundrum and sauteed in mystification, with a salty coating of indeterminateness that lends the puzzle of my being an altogether new dimension of dubiousness.
Or I could just really like the song.

Agreed, I think it was a great choice if she was going to do a Dylan song. Hearing "Just Like A Woman" sung by a woman adds an interesting twist. And while Stevie's version may not be definitive, it's far from bad. The arrangement may be a little MOR, but Stevie puts a lot into her vocal.

I agree with you on David Crosby. Or how about Neil Young?
