The far religious right and the Roman Catholic Church equate homosexuality with pedophilia. They think all gay guys are inherently depraved beings whoo are out to fondle and sodomize pre-pubescent children and cannot control themselves. I cannot research it right now - but a google search should produce many articles on how the Catholic Church is now banning gay priests, etc. I mean little girls were touched too, but I guess straight people can inherenlty control themselves :rolleyes:

Don't swap them to a different parish. They claim the ban is because they are all men so an attraction to men could be a distraction. As for these war protesters and the war supporters, I wished that I had only the war to worry about...But sadly since I have a life I guess the war got knocked to the backburner.

But of course W and the rest think they're good enough to give their lives in Iraq. They've taken the "don't ask, don't tell" policy to the extreme when it comes to letting gays fight their war for them.

Our Republican governor recently signed a parental notification abortion bill -- signed it in a church, mind you, with a full press conference -- as well as a bill making it illegal for gays to marry, or have any of the benefits that heterosexual couples have. (That marraige bill hasn't even passed yet... it's on our ballot in November ... it was a "symbolic signing". :rolleyes: ) When one of the reporters asked him what he will say to our gay soldiers who return from Iraq to discover that they were good enough to fight the war, but not good enough to get equal rights, his response was "The people of Texas have spoken. If they don't like it, they can find another state to live in that will be more sympathetic to their views." :mad:

Yep - and they are rank hypocrites as well as our soldiers serve side by side with Gret Britian's troops who can serve as openly gay. I mean if being a gay soldier is such a morale problem and God doesn't want gay troops, then why didn't we refuse Great Britian's help :shrug:
