P.S. For those who dwell in Austin.... is your town overfowing with evacuees like my town? just curious about the 'hotel' situation....
Is their no room at the Inn?........................

I'm going to see if I can make it.

The ACL festival was this weekend, so the hotels were full because of that, plus the evacuees. Next week, I think it might be a little better? I dunno...

I'll be there!

You should be okay w/ the hotels...as Markolas mentioned, we just had ACL, the Pecan St. Festival, and evacuees...and the Longhorns are playing an away game this weekend.

If you want to stay in a funky, affordable place, in a great location, check out the Austin Motel (http://www.austinmotel.com/). Gerald (shackin' up) stayed there when he visited, he loved it! And their sign looks like a penis! :D You could walk to the concert from there.

They are right across the street from one of the most awesome clubs in town, the Continental Club (http://www.continentalclub.com/Austin.html). And one of my favorite dive bars is within stumbling distance, Ego's. They don't have an official website, but you can still google 'em to read about it.

We need to figure out a place to meet - either before or at the show... Let me know if you want to know anything else! :wavey:

His solo, acoustic stuff is lame, I agree. But his funk band, The Scabs, rocks!!!

And don't be dissing Austin!! We're not like the rest of Texas, so shuddup! :xoxo:

had a relative who lived (My Uncle Don, Who knew a bunch of well-known musicians...Mainly from dealing to 'em) in Austin for a longtime, Really remember not liking the town that much when we visited.

As for Bob Schitter, sorry dude...Ya suck, plain and simple....But having you on the bill will make Sheryl sound better I guess.
