Okay... I have a problem, because one or more of the following is true:
a) I'm cursed with defective electronics
b) I don't quite have the right equipment
c) I'm a total freakin' idiot
I have a cassette tape that I desperately need to convert to cdr or at the very least to mp3 or WMP files that can then be converted to cdr. I bought one of those adaptors for my computer and can burn from vinyl to cdr with no problem... but for whatever reason I can't do tapes. At this point I give up on trying to figure out the why's and don't even want to deal with it anymore.
So... what I need is for some really generous and technically inclined Ledgie to help me out. I need to send the tape to someone who can convert it for me (and preferably burn it to cdr and ship back both tape and disc). Anybody willing to give me a hand?

You've got an analog cassette? You may need to have someone transfer it to a DAT tape (Digital tape) and THEN bounce it onto a CD.

Miss Vicky have an uncirculated Stevie show? Or a circulated one for that matter? Fat chance!!! It's a tape of one non album b-side from 1983 and five new unreleased songs by a certain artist to whom I've dedicated a website.

It's just a regular old cassette tape (is that analog?), like the kind that used to be popular before the age of CD. I have the adaptor, but I think the problem is in the fact that my stereo is a minisystem and is only meant to receive from outside appliances (like a turntable or television). From what I can tell, I think that all I really need is a tape deck that would go to a regular stereo system (one in which all the components hook up to one main receiver or whatever)... but neither I nor anyone I know has one of those anymore.

There has to be somebody out there who's willing to give me a hand.
It's only a 20 minute long tape.
Pretty please?
