oh I've got a million of 'em...
but let's go back to the 70's...
I was driving cross-country w/ my uncle & Dreams was #1, so everytime it came on, I made him turn it up..
He said. "What's this stupidity you're listening to??""
I said "WHAAAAT???!!"
He said "wash your ha-nds, and wash your nose"
I also worked w/ a girl who swore Stevie said
"When Lorraine washs you clean you'll know"

When "Stand Back" comes on, I usually sing "TAMPAX, TAMPAX". :D

Mine are from the Dance because there was no lyrics sheet and it was my intro to Fleetwood Mac. The first one is the only funny one, really.
Sweet Girl (also applicable to Angel): "Traffic goes through a fog."
Sweet Girl: "Everyone said I'd never love."
My Little Demon: "Big or little, yeah I wanna take you home." (I hoped he was not shallow. ;) )
Silver Springs: "You're shining on the ocean crashing."
I'm So Afraid: "I've had this hole in my heart too long."
Bleed to Love Her: "If this hope is gonna turn out right."
Now if we include the GOS demos in this, as compared to what the lyrics sheet said in SYW... now THAT would be embarassing. lol

"Easy volunteer, you see the pathway." Gold and Braid

Silver Springs: "You're shining on the ocean crashing."
That's how I heard it, too! LOL!
I know I have a few more, but I can't think of them at the moment. Maybe after work....

I always thought the opening line to Gold And Braid was "Though you'd send some old shadows" instead of "Though deep set, somewhat shadowed, her eyes, her mystery"
And the line in Rhiannon that goes "Once in a million years a lady like her rises", I used to think she said "Wants to feel in the years alone like her rising"

I thought it was "Cry out loud for frozen love"
Until someone said otherwise, I thought she was saying "that plain plain beauty again" at the end of "Seven Wonders," though I realize that doesn't make a whole lot of sense
I played "Stand Back" while studying for American history once and now I think "Stamp Act! Stamp Act!" when I hear it

Oh! I just remembered a funny one! I used to think Lindsey was singing, "I didn't want to be this lame" in "Not That Funny." I still think it could apply. ;)

In Greta, this verse goes...
She's got her bags packed...
And she's off to the valley where the
sun meets the sea
You understand that
She wants to live by the ocean...
And no one is pleased
She gets a house in the mountains...
The next day...
the next day she leaves the station
and this is how parts of it sound to me...
She's got her bags packed...
And she's off to the valley weather
sun eats the sea
You understand that
She wants to live by the ocean...
And no one has cheese
She gets a helmet in the mountains...
The next day...
the next day she leaves the station
When i looked on the Nicksfix, and realized what the right lyrics where, it was just too funny!!

lol, one time I was singing along with Seven Wonders while driving home from work, and out of the blue I sang "...the denseless beauty" on that part. For a split second I just kind of had this look on my face like, "Denseless?! Where the heck did THAT come from??"

lol...yes, Gold and Braid was originally going to be the Peace Corps signature song!

I would SWEAR that Stevie sings,
"In the wave that is my own,
I begin again.
Said to my friend,
'Everything sucks,
nothing else matters.'"
Doesn't it sometimes seem like she's somehow able to sing
two things at once?
I STILL wanna know what the heck she was screaming in
"Sisters of the Moon" ( concert version ). :]

I was listening to Twisted in the car today, and singing along... and all of a sudden, I hear myself sing....
Crazy men, crazy women
Cryin' out for love
You'd like to save her
But you just can't get it up

Er, I actually just had to go check the lyrics. 'Cause that's what I've been singing forever. :o
I think "Cry out loud for Frozen Love" sounds better anyway. Nyah. :p

For the LIFE of me I can't figure out what Stevie
actually says at the end of "Storms" ( as opposed to the
Official printed lyrics - duh! ). I THINK it's
"And not all the bread in the world could . . .
SAVE us. . . .
and not all the . . .
SAVE us!"
Don't get me started about Lindsey in the studio at the end of
"Beautiful Child" on "Tusk!" . . .

"She was just, a witch"

Remembered another one. I thought Stevie said, "Safety, my friend - nothing else matters." Hey, safety IS important.

It really sounds to me like she's saying "Something like a drug" near the very end of "Kick It." If so, that kind of ruins it, because it's too obvious. Like, we understood the analogy to begin with; it takes something away for her to spell it out. Of course that's not in the liner notes. Does anyone else hear that?

I just checked nicksfix and something like dying is said...
CHORUS:
I think that is the meaning of love
And I prefer to kick it
Yes I think that is the meaning of love...
Surrender...
Well I think that is the meaning of love
I think that is the meaning of love...(love)
And I prefer to kick it
Yes I think that is the meaning of love (love...love)
But I prefer to kick it
Well I loved you more than life itself
(Nothing like forever more)
But I'm prepared to kick it
(Something like dying)
Yes I loved you more than life itself (love...love)
But I'm prepared to kick it

Yes, but it seems that the liner notes/Nicksfix don't jive with what's being said so much of the time. But that does make sense, anyway.

from "After the Glitter Fades"
