Worst Week Rant - Self Indulgent ;)

Guys, I have had the worst week. I went to get my car Tues and it wasn't there. They put up some construction site a few days before and towed my car away. Since I don't use it every day, I did not realize it was gone so the city said cha ching. I paid $150 to get it out of the tow lot and $75 for the parking ticket. Ugh. :distress:

Blurt screwed something up so I had to do twice as much work on this one install. He had the wrong version of Win2k on the machine, I don't even know why he used that one cuz we have standard software that we use. :shrug: Of course, he did not tell me this, and was out "sick" as I was struggling. I finally figured out that was the problem. I talked to him today about it and he says, "Yeah, I thought that problem might come up as I was leaving the other day". Um, good thing you didn't let me know (insert Brian J's bitch slap here, I love that thing). :shocked:

We have a new street cleaning schedule here and so I got another $25 ticket this morning. I had an appointment today and on the way I got caught in a cluster eff when trying to take a shortcut. I got out of that and then got stuck behind a fire truck blocking the road which was waiting for a construction vehicle blocking his way into the fire house. Then, I ran into a funeral procession which I did not realize. So I'm the asshole who's beeping cuz I don't know what's going on and then some guy gets out of his car and calls me a f*cking asshole. :( I am 15 minutes for my appointment but luckily it worked out okay. Then going back to work I get caught up in another traffic jam from construction (I hate mid-week work hours construction, it is evil). I sit in that for 20 minutes. So my stupid little 15 minute appointment takes 2 hours.

Fortunately, that's the end of my rant, everything from then until now has been good. Phew. But seriously this week sucked and I'm exhausted. Thank God for Edy's, see other thread. :lol:

My dad is very sick...my ex girlfriend has decided to visit the place in which I work and talk **** about me to my friends and co-workers...my cat is throwing up her food every other day now....my car needs about $800 worth of work..........it never ends. I just got back from Vegas, so I ought to be doing happy dances. Instead I get into a HUGE NASTY argument w/ my folks, of whom I was traveling with (we are ultra tight/close, but if an argument erupts...watch out!) so from Hoover Damn area to Bakersfield (for you non-Californian's, that's about a 6 hour trip) the car was SILENT...bristling w/ hardcore tension. UGH! All is well, I suppose. We had sorta made amends for the stupidity of it all, but they have tried twice to call me since we got home last night, and I am JUST not up to it. Pity too, cause the trip all in all was amazing, save for the last moment. Does that suck or what?!?!?!?! OH, and add that it's been 6 days w/ no smoking. I'm not even trying to quit...just well, long story. Debating whether to light up, or indeed quit. No exasperation, stress here. :rolleyes:

Same here! I'm actually thinking about getting one of those light boxes. However, I looked into them today and they are about $250.00. WTF??? Maybe I can find one at a bargain price somewhere.

awwww sorry your week sucked, wanna compare it to mine? :laugh: 1st off my son who started 1st grade this yr, fell off playground equip. & cut up his ear, as the nurse is calling me another child, in another room for being in trouble came in a poked my son w/ his pencil very deeply (a-hole kid), then on thursday his teacher tells my son to go w/ 2 older kids to use another restroom since their class restroom was busy & the 2 older boys got into a scuffle & were taken to the office & my son was left to wander the building until another child asked him if he needed help & got him back to his class~ so some of this stuff seems tiny, but it is my kid & by this time i am pissed off~ so on friday my son comes jumping in from his ride home all excited for the wkend & i look down at his head while he is hugging me & notice a 2 in x 1 & a half in bald spot on my sons head, i mean it is blazing bald, so i ask my son what happened & he says his partner in art wanted to cut his hair & my son told him no, & raised his hand to tell the teacher this kid, who by the way is MUCH larger than my son is cuttting his hair & the teacher says just a sec i will be right there, in that sec, my son became bald~ i am so fricking livid~ when i confronted the teacher, she asks my son why he didn't tell & he said, but i did, so needless to say my hubby flipped out on her, in the principal's office about her not doing her job & she is lucky my son is just bald & not more seriously injured~ it was a total nightmare~ the byotch~ mess w/ my kid~ i mean if my son was the perp of this, he would have some consequences, the principal was livid also thank god~ to top it all off we are refinancing our house & well lt's just say 3 yrs ago we refinanced for a much lower rate & to have an escrow account where they pay our property taxes & house insurance & we just make 1 pymnt, house pymt/ins/taxes all in one, well i called the court house 2 months ago for something different & the lady told me that the past 3 yrs, my mortgage cmpany hasn't been paying my taxes so i am 3 yrs in the rear, now i have never been notified, i have made every house pymt on time, i thought they were doing their job~ the money they were posta be paying was applied to my loan & not to my taxes & such, well at least the money wasn't lost it did go to my house, but now i owe the govt 10,990.00~ can you say F@CK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~ so i tell my mortgage co & the set me up for yet another refinance to pay all this to the tax people & restructure me, so this won't happen again~ we have had 2 closing dates this week both cancelled cuz they said there was a lein on my house, so i check into this, i always pay my bills, i am not past due on anything~ well it turns out the lein is for medical bills that aren't even mine, or hubby's, they are for some guy w/ the same last name, but diff address & such, so it took me 2 days to straighten this out, so we get our 3rd closing date & the co my mortgate is at has a computer crash & they lose all the documents i sent them, we had to start all over at square 1, i mean there is a limit to what any human can take~ we are posta close for sure by tuesday, i keep saying my prayers, crossing my fingrs, throwing salt over my left shoulder...i mean GOSH!!!!!!!!!!~ you know i always pay everything on time, we are not slackers, it just pisses me off, that when you do, do everything the right way, things just seem to go wrong at times that seem so injust, i am so frustrated!!! :eek: ~

I was saddened to read about everyone's crappy week...

But, you know me...always the little ray af moonlight, bringing happy thoughts :xoxo:
Remember there was a full moon on Saturday and that can bring about a lot of tension and hostility, anger and frustration before it reaches it's full phase.
So now it is going into it's last quarter and things should calm down a bit for all of us.

Cars and traffic, construction, and Bosses and work, and pets and parents and all social interactions/disagreements can all be irratating...
Death, however can be devestating . I am sorry for anyone's loss of a life.

On the bright side, be glad that you have a car, and a job and a family and a pet, and a life that gets all crazy......the only other option is death.

Life is all about experiencing the emotions and craziness that goes with the journey So even when you are ready to scream from frustration and anger...
Think: ..Edy's alcohol, music, breathing...and this too shall pass,

Next week will be better!

Hmm, since the mortgage company screwed up the fair thing to do would be for them to pay those taxes. But why would they do something as sensible as that? I can't believe that teacher "he's trying to cut my hair." "just a sec". WTF??? I'm sorry he got hurt too. Damn, your week was worse. I hope this week is much better.

Normally this is how I think. But I just got smacked around so much it was hard. However, now I am much better. I went to a fun party yesterday, drank some booze, had a ciggy or two (oops) and had a good time. Today I feel great even though I should be hungover I am not. Life is good.

Bad week for my wallet and just before Christmas.

&nbsp; $120 for vet to tell me my cat is okay. (I would spend anything on that cat)
+$665 for new exhaust system and tie rod in car.

Plus, I'm hella busy in the office, I spent 6.5 hours yesterday doing extra work because I initially got the wrong file. :mad:

But I know y'all have it worse. Rant away peeps.

awwww sorry your week sucked, wanna compare it to mine? :laugh: 1st off my son who started 1st grade this yr, fell off playground equip. & cut up his ear, as the nurse is calling me another child, in another room for being in trouble came in a poked my son w/ his pencil very deeply (a-hole kid), then on thursday his teacher tells my son to go w/ 2 older kids to use another restroom since their class restroom was busy & the 2 older boys got into a scuffle & were taken to the office & my son was left to wander the building until another child asked him if he needed help & got him back to his class~ so some of this stuff seems tiny, but it is my kid & by this time i am pissed off~ so on friday my son comes jumping in from his ride home all excited for the wkend & i look down at his head while he is hugging me & notice a 2 in x 1 & a half in bald spot on my sons head, i mean it is blazing bald, so i ask my son what happened & he says his partner in art wanted to cut his hair & my son told him no, & raised his hand to tell the teacher this kid, who by the way is MUCH larger than my son is cuttting his hair & the teacher says just a sec i will be right there, in that sec, my son became bald~ i am so fricking livid~ when i confronted the teacher, she asks my son why he didn't tell & he said, but i did, so needless to say my hubby flipped out on her, in the principal's office about her not doing her job & she is lucky my son is just bald & not more seriously injured~ it was a total nightmare~ the byotch~ mess w/ my kid~ i mean if my son was the perp of this, he would have some consequences, the principal was livid also thank god~ to top it all off we are refinancing our house & well lt's just say 3 yrs ago we refinanced for a much lower rate & to have an escrow account where they pay our property taxes & house insurance & we just make 1 pymnt, house pymt/ins/taxes all in one, well i called the court house 2 months ago for something different & the lady told me that the past 3 yrs, my mortgage cmpany hasn't been paying my taxes so i am 3 yrs in the rear, now i have never been notified, i have made every house pymt on time, i thought they were doing their job~ the money they were posta be paying was applied to my loan & not to my taxes & such, well at least the money wasn't lost it did go to my house, but now i owe the govt 10,990.00~ can you say F@CK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~ so i tell my mortgage co & the set me up for yet another refinance to pay all this to the tax people & restructure me, so this won't happen again~ we have had 2 closing dates this week both cancelled cuz they said there was a lein on my house, so i check into this, i always pay my bills, i am not past due on anything~ well it turns out the lein is for medical bills that aren't even mine, or hubby's, they are for some guy w/ the same last name, but diff address & such, so it took me 2 days to straighten this out, so we get our 3rd closing date & the co my mortgate is at has a computer crash & they lose all the documents i sent them, we had to start all over at square 1, i mean there is a limit to what any human can take~ we are posta close for sure by tuesday, i keep saying my prayers, crossing my fingrs, throwing salt over my left shoulder...i mean GOSH!!!!!!!!!!~ you know i always pay everything on time, we are not slackers, it just pisses me off, that when you do, do everything the right way, things just seem to go wrong at times that seem so injust, i am so frustrated!!! :eek: ~

Holy ****. Your week takes the ****ty cake I'm afraid. Funny thing is, my husband and I were just talking about buying a house, but now I think I'm going to reconsider. I'm sorry that stuff happened, but it'll all work out, things DO get better.

Bad week for my wallet and just before Christmas.

&nbsp; $120 for vet to tell me my cat is okay. (I would spend anything on that cat)
+$665 for new exhaust system and tie rod in car.

=$785 I do not have. :distress:

Plus, I'm hella busy in the office, I spent 6.5 hours yesterday doing extra work because I initially got the wrong file. :mad:

But I know y'all have it worse. Rant away peeps.

Aw, I'm sorry. :( I've in the same boat as you regarding the unexpected expenses. I've had to shell out $1600 for mole removal/biopsies since September (everything was fine, happy to report, but insurance covered none of it ) and last week I bought new tires for $350.

Yuck.

Uh - my bike got stolen thursday while I was at class (from BART) and then I bought a cheap new bike (I might as well buy cheap ones if they will be stolen every couple months anyway) the next day because I just discovered a great hiking spot close ish to my house - I rode my brand new bike to the store on Friday, and on the way back, the chain broke. And the repair guy isn't in until this friday.
That's it, though. I was bummed, but comparatively I see that it's not too bad!
Hope next week is better for everyone.
