Is anyone besides me excited to see this movie? I've been a fan of Tim Burton since i was 4 years old, when Beetlejuice came out..... when i was eight i got The Nightmare Before Christmas toys for christmas, & they were the only things i would play with  I've seen previews for this film, & i'm so glad that the models for the characters were still used instead of all digital, which IMO is just laziness & lack of real craftmanship  The film itself looks really gorgeous! It comes out tomorrow here in NY, so i'll probably go see it with some friends ( & a guy in my class that i really like :o )... Sooo excited!

I am psyched. I don't get too excited about movies anymore, but I've loved just about everything Tim Burton has done (minus Planet of the Apes).

Honey, I wish I could tell you that men get more of a clue after college.

My roommate and I watched Ed Wood last night. I loved that freaking film. Depp's look of rapture when a scene or something was just right was priceles. "You're all a bunch of freaks! All you make is crap!" Or whatever SJP says to them. Good stuff.

That is one of the funniest movies. I love it. I love the scene where "Bela" says "Toss me 'dat visky!" and they throw him the whisky bottle, he chugs, then hops in the pond to do the octopus scene. ROFL...great stuff.

 Omigod, I was doubled over during that scene! It was too much.

Imagine being poor Bela trying to get clean in those days. That detox scene was disturbing. The actor who played him was awesome.

I've already seen it and it's really great, although I didn't think the songs were quite as catchy as Nightmare Before Christmas.
It's looks amazing though

It was soooo sad too :( I'll admit, i got a little teary-eyed cause i related so much with this character (the Corpse Bride).... she's just like me, nobody wants her :distress: I'm not gonna say anymore, i don't want to spoil it... I'm gonna see it again

DYING to see Corpse Bride. Tim Burton is just fandamntastic! Just the thing to ring in October. As some of you may or may not know, I am a October/Halloween fanatic. I travel yearly somewhere to partake in various Halloween scenes.
I started my "horror" reading list a bit early this year, but so what. lmoa. It's all I can do not to start decorating.

For those of you that liked Ed Wood (BRILLIANT!) Might I suggest a trio of books written by Greg Khin. Yes, Greg as in "Jeopardy" one hit wonder. They are a gas. Easy, quick reading, so October-ish, and VERY in the vein of Ed Wood filmaking. Sort of left field from the initial topic, but you get the pic. :D

Amazon Review:
Rock musician Greg Kihn obviously has tremendous affection for the kind of grade-B black and white horror films of the 50s that were turned out in record time by directors like Ed Wood and the early Roger Corman. In this first novel, he whips up a confection reminiscent of the Tim Burton movie Ed Wood--in which a Wood/Corman hybrid hangs out with a drug-addicted Béla Lugosi clone, a transvestite screenwriter, a Vampira clone, and various other oddballs in a lovingly detailed (wildroot oil on the hairdo, flash sport shirts, unfiltered Chesterfields) 50s Hollywood.
