Thanks again to all the great undercover music lovers...
I have decided that maybe YOUSENDIT is the best way to get these tracks available to all, so I am in the process of getting that set up. Hopefully, I'll have the first 2 tracks up and post the links here shortly. And then every day or so I'll add the next track. Below is the setlist and artwork, thanks to Barbara.
Angel - Barbara
Beauty and the Beast - Jason (me)
Castaway - Don Mike
Dreams - RavenofRhiannon
Everyday - RavenofRhiannon
Gold Dust Woman - RavenofRhiannon
Have No Heart - Jason (me)
How Still My Love - Barbara
I Sing for the Things - Jason (me)
Lady from the Mountain - Jason (me)
Landslide - RavenofRhiannon
Planets of the Universe - RavenofRhiannon
Rhiannon (piano version) - Jason (me)
Sable on Blonde - Jason (me)
Stand Back - Ocie
Storms - Jason (me)
I will tell you everyone spent a lot of time putting these songs together and I think the results are extraordinary and show our love and appreciation of Stevie and her music. Don's Castaway is so cool (love the music), Barbara's HSML is one of my favs on the cd and RavenofRhiannon's Dreams is so lush...I can tell you I played the piano on each of my tracks myself and some took me some time to figure out the music, or at least as close as I could get it; they aren't perfect but that's what makes them special, I recorded them all in one sitting just like Stevie! Hope you all enjoy once they are set up...keep checking back. If YOUSENDIT doesn't work out, I'll figure something else out.

Awww. You flatter me with your description of my Dreams. I am so excited to be hearing everyone else's contribution. Every track I have downloaded so far has been excellent. The time and care in each note is palpable, especially BATB and Have No Heart (One of my fav demos). Thank you for putting this project together and allowing me to be a part of it.

It took me 7 years to download BATB but it was worth it. I have to say that male tenor voices are not my favorite....but that all flew out the window when I heard this. You , Mister, have a beautiful voice. Why exactly are you not making a living singing ? Perhaps you already are. If you are not, you should be. :wavey:

I don't know what to say...thank you so much. I am not singing professionally at all, although that is my dream. I've been hoping to get a band together for 3 years, but so far no luck. Again, thank you very much for being so kind. It means a lot to me.

thank you - it's nice to see such nice comments come from the past couple of months of work on this project. I really put a lot into each song and tried to do them justice, so I appreciate it.
WOW, you got these uploaded so fast....I just downloaded your B&B, and I love it...you REALLY don't sing for a living? YOU MUST look into this! I love the tone and resonance. And you don't just sing the words, you can hear the SOUL in your voice!! AWESOME!!! I also put a link to the Ledge page about this project, on my website, so many of my visitors can enjoy the superb vocals by yourself, Don & Raven, as well!
I am going to download the remaining songs you did, and Don's & Raven, as well...
Thanks so much for including me in this wonderful project, and for using my artwork, too :) I am honoured!!!!

If anyone's interested in hearing it, I was working on a version of Dreams, but that never got completed either. (It was originally to see how long it would take me to fully record a song)
I didn't really plan on submitting it for the project except as maybe a bonus track, because I figured someone else would probably want to do Dreams.
But yeah, if anyone wants hear it, I'll put it up.
I would like to hear it, Alex. Please let me know a link to listen when you put it up :)

I would love to hear these, but after trying for an hour last night and continually throughout today I have determined that my old friend yousendit has decided to hate me. I love the arrangements of these, where you made your own, by playing piano, or mixing up a whole new mix! Don, how did you do the "Castaway" mix? That is so awesome! And Jason, not only did you pick some of my favs to hear, you totally ROCKED them out, I adore your voice!
Raven/Randy, really great "Planets" (that track studio lady does have a good "Stevie" sounding voice on the "and I know" parts and the end, I thought that when I first purchased that track, isn't it fun to sing?), and your voice is so harmonious and lovely! and "GDW", I would not have imagined hearing guys sing these songs, and now that I have heard this talented group, WOW! Thanks so much for sharing your gifts with us.

Thank you so much Amber. Those harmonies are me and the backing vocalist for the karaoke track I used. I was fortunate enough to have done a voice over for a radio sopt for work, and the studio owner let me come in on a Saturday and cut those tracks. We went back and layered my harmony in over the track at the end.

'Planets' was to be my only contribution to the project. When I went in to record, I used the others as 'confidence building' since i had never recorded in a studio before. They all turned out pretty good, I think. Except Dreams, I am just think I could have done better.

Thank you Barb, that is very nice of you to say. I actually did all the music myself. I used prerecorded drum loops because I don't do drums well, and a few little accent loops, but the majority of the keys and guitars were all done on my keyboard (it does great guitar sounds). Although, I didn't realize while I was recording it that I learned the song out of my range! I'm a natural tenor. Ugh. So it was really difficult for me to sing. I may go back and rerecord the whole thing but it took me so long to get what I have there I may not. I don't know. LOL! I had fun doing it and I'm very proud of the mix. I'd love to hear Stevie do Castaway in a simillar arrangement. It's such a great song. It really deserves to be brought out into the light.
Everyone else did such great jobs on all of their songs. I'm still downloading the rest but I've loved what I've heard. What a great project this was. Thank you so much for letting me be part of it.

Hi! Thank you so very much, I really appreciate that! Well, yes and no, it was live, but not with a band....It was recorded with studio tracks, at a tribute show I performed this past Summer, that was actually the "soundcheck", and it came out kinda cool, so I liked it, LOL! Plus I ADORE that song, and love to sing it.

The 'band' part is mostly dead on, which makes me happy. :)

EDIT: Wow, that's Sharon at the end of it.

I'm hopefully going to post my Dreams tonight.
The "Stand Back" track is a karaoke CD+G track, some of them are better than others, I believe SB is a Sound Choice disk, which the quality of the studio musicians and arrangements of the copies of the original versions are much better, the cheapie CD+G tracks are sometimes quite cheesy, and cut off the ends, etc.
Sharon is at the end of what? confused...LOL.
Looking forward to hearing your version of "Dreams", Alex!

Thank you SO very much, Jason. I miss hearing her do that when she performs live, it is such a powerful and rocking song!
I also love all of your songs, on the GDProject! I played them for my Mom, she was very impressed (she has heard some very bad renditions of Stevie's songs, from other people, that I have known/heard, over the years, LOL!) as was I ... impressed with your vocals and arrangements.

Alex, this was recorded to a CDG that was GOOD to begin with, but HEAVILY Improved Upon with recording software adding musical instruments. My husband and I own a recording studio, and ALL my discs are modified for my solo shows, so you REALLY get that Concert sound versus just the "regular track".
There is nothing "karaoke" about my shows, no breaks in between songs, as all the tracks (when doing solo shows) are segued into one another, professionally and seamlessly.
And YES, that IS Sharon at the end of it, amazing what quality equipment and modern technology can do for a "karaoke disc".
I have been recording as of late, and have 14 OTHER and varied artists songs done.
Thanks for the compliment!

I got sick for this volume, but does anyone want to do a track with me for the next one? I usually participate in stuff like this.
That would be awesome, you could record the music and your part, and eMail the MP3 to me and I can add my parts? AWESOME, let's do TWO!!! LOL...I would love it...
Jason, I would love to sing with YOU too, maybe sometime, if you would like to???
Lots of Love, Barbara
Wow, thank you very much. Yeah, a collaboration would be awesome. Maybe if I can get my crap together we could do a duet of Nightbird or Two Kinds of Love. And maybe I could even record them in a key that we could both sing. LOL! I'll be in touch. :)

I had a great idea in the car on the way home from work today. When Paper Doll comes on my CD player I always sing along, but I've added some harmonies that are not on the original, especially during the bridge. Would you be up for that?
These sound super, I would love to sing with you on as many songs as you are up for, too :) The first three I know pretty well already, the last three you may have to send me the MP3s of for me to gather the ambience of them, and create a haunting part .... this will be so much fun!!!
Let's do it!~Barbara
