"In his first in-depth interview since stepping down as secretary of state, Colin Powell talks with Barbara Walters about race, Iraq, Hurricane Katrina and his now-infamous U.N. speech on Iraq that he says remains a painful blot on his record."

 Yours rocks too!

Have you seen the commercials for the Powell interview? The big tease is something like:

Barbara: When did you first realize you'd been misled?
Powell: (Looks at floor...)

OH! And I just noticed your Jon Stewart avatar!

As soon as I'm finished birthing Keith Olbermann's babies, Jon is next in line. I only hope his wife doesn't mind.

I didn't miss it, did I? I'm flipping between 20/20 and Fashion Rocks. Trying to see the Stevie cover, and avoid John Stossel [shudder] .

Holy Sh*t.

"I have not seen a connection between Sadaam and 9/11."

Laughed at his commentary about Rumsfield. He cannot stand him - LOL!

Looks like we were duped by the commercial - he's being very PC.

Just said even with everything that's happened since, he's glad Saddam's regime is gone. And something about how important loyalty is, in regards to supporting Dubya going into war even though he had doubts about the Intel.

He's saying he always prefers diplomacy to war. B asked about N Korea - he said it looks like diplomacy can work. On Iran:

R: "I don't see a clear military option with regards to Iran."

I hope Dubya is watching.

Since Strandie isn't here, I'll say it. What do you expect from a hog but a grunt?

The other "highlight" was Powell regretting that he'll always have a blot on his record for presenting the false Intel to the UN. But that he can live with it.

Somehow, I missed his response to the "misled" question from the commercial. Darn your roommate!!!
