I kept track of (or at least tried to) what Lindsey and the other guitarists were doing. Here's what I found:

SGCYM (F):
Lindsey on what looks like a Strat, tuned to Open F (F-C-F-A-C-F), which is actually open E tuned up a step. Neale on 12-string acoustic, capoed at the first fret. Brett's on keyboards for this one.

Trouble (Ab):
Lindsey on the amplicoustic, which is tuned to open Ab (Eb-Ab-Eb-Ab-C-Eb), which is actually Open G tuned UP a step. Lindsey doesn't seem to like capoing when it comes to open tunings. Neale remains on 12-string acoustic, and Brett is on a Strat that seems to be tuned down a half-step.

Big Love (C#m):
All guitarists should know that for this song Lindsey is always on a Gibson Chet Atkins classical guitar, capoed on the 4th fret.

Go Insane (Bbm):
To accomodate for his decreasing voice range, Lindsey moves the capo from the 4th to 1st fret on this one.

Down on Rodeo (G):
Lindsey on the Amplicoustic, tuned to Open G. Neale and Brett on Strats.

Peacekeeper (Gm):
Don't ask me why, but on this one Lindsey plays the Turner in standard tuning tuned UP a half-step, and capoed on the SECOND fret. I do not understand why he just doesn't capo on the 3rd fret. This version is stripped down a bit, so you can hear what he's doing a lot easier. Neale on 6-string acoustic, capoed at the 3rd fret. Brett switches off between keyboards and an uncapoed Strat.

Red Rover (Gb):
Lindsey, once again on the amplicoustic. is now in Open G tuned DOWN a half-step (Db-Gb-Db-Gb-Bb-Db). It took me until the end of the song to figure that out (before I thought it was in standard down a half-step like Eyes of the World). Brett on keyboards. Don't remember what Neale was doing. He might've just been doing vocals. I know he did that one one song, it was either this or Murrow. He played a Strat on the other.

NGBA (F):
Drop D, capo 3rd fret. As usual.

Say Goodbye (Gb):
Lindsey uses a weird tuning for this: Open Gb7 (Db-Gb-Db-Fb-Bb-Db). Fb is the same as E, it's called "enharmonic." If you take this weird tuning and tune it up a half-step, then tune the 3rd string up a whole step from there, and what do you have? Open G! But that's for Down on Rodeo.

Murrow (Bbm):
Lindsey's using a baritone variation of Drop D, with the low string as a B-flat. The whole tuning is Bb-F-Bb-Eb-G-C. Brett on keyboards, although some of the keyboard parts are programmed.

GYOW (D):
I think this is the first time in history that GYOW was played in a key other than F. He probably did it to save his voice. Lindsey on Turner in standard tuning (think D-A-G-D instead of F-C-Bb-F for the verse on this take). Brett and Neale both on acoustics capoed at the 5th fret, Neale's a 12-string if I recall correctly.

Any questions, just let me know.

All the best,
Mike

or did "Go Insane" have an even slower tempo than the usual acoustic version???
