Stevie's Literary Inspiration...

[RavenOfRhiannon]

Stevie has used novels, poetry and other literary inspiration for her songs for years.

What kind of list do we have for songs that were 'Ripped from the Headlines' as it were?

1. Rhiannon (Mabinogian or Triad)
2. Annabelle Lee (Poe's poem)
3. Running Thorugh The Garden (Hawthorne's Rapuccini's Daughter)
4. Have No Heart (Oscar Wilde's Birthday of the Infanta)

Anyone else?

Tiffany has a great list on her site that lists all of the stuff Stevie lifted for her songs. :)

Randy, here's a useful guide to the literary references in Stevie's songs....
"Inspired Angel" (http://www.inspiredangel.com/)

This is a cool site commending contemporary artists for the use of literary references in their lyrics....
