Well I was going to add this to the thread All the men Stevie has been with but decided to start a new thread in honor of Johnny.
I just finished working the Rolling Stones concert as a local stagehand..(that is a whole other story in itself.)
But one day I wore one of my Stevie shirts to work, and as I was moving some speakers to stage right a road guy noticed my shirt and asked me if I was a Stevie fan,... and sorta smiled when I told him I Loveeeeeeeeeee Stevie Nicks and pointed to this handsome man standing near center stage and said "see that guy over there,?"he is one of Stevie's ex boyfriends..I said"oh really??" whats his name?" Johnny Starbuck..so of course I made a bee line rush over to said man..LOL and went up to him and said excuse me may I ask you something..>?? and than said I hear you are one of Stevie Nick's old boyfriends..he looked at me and had this flabbergasted look on his face and said" How in the world did you know that?? and laughed. Sure enough it was Johnny Starbuck and we continued talking about Stevie and how he thinks it is so funny how there are web sites where people are trying to guess who and how many men Stevie has been with..So of course I filled him in about the Ledge too in case it wasn;t one of the sites he has seen.
He also told me Stevie had called him when her father had passed away, and although it is very sad , they were all sorta expecting it to happen as Jess had been ill for a while. He was such a nice man and so great to talk to ..At one time he started singing Stand Back to me ..so me being me ..lol I finished the song off for him and did my Stevie Twirls for him too..which got a great laugh out of him..(me in my hard hat and work clothes)LOL..
So just in case Johnny decides to pop in here I want to say Thank You Johnny for making my day and taking the time to talk to me ,It was a thrill talking to and meeting you ..Hope I run into you again someday so we can continue our conversation.. :xoxo:

It was sorta a fluke how I got the job..I was reading a article about differnt careers they highlight in the local paper ,on how to get started the pay etc..and they interviewed a local stagehand..who mentioned they might be short on workers for the upcoming Stones concert.so i emailed him with my resume and next thing you know I got the call..I worked the Avril L show on thrusday and then went over to the Stones concert site on Friday and worked until sunday morning. The Stones coming here where I live was a Huge event..85thousand people or more at the concert..The biggest stone concert in North America.the tour is called a Bigger Bang and it was..Maroon5 ,Our Lady Peace ,Tragically Hip and the Stones..(also a band out of Quebec.can;t remember there name) I'm still pumped up from it all.I met some really awesome road crew stage hands.including Johnny Starbuck who is traveling with the Stones ...I just wish I could of had more time to talk with them and less work..

Wow, that is too cool! I don't know what he looks like? Does anyone have a pic?there are pics of him in one of the old tourbooks. He's grisly, unshaven. Looks as if he just crawled out of a biker bar into the oppressive afternoon sunlight. Typical Stevie boyfriend du jour fodder.
He did her security back then.

I love Johnny. He was my favorite of all her security - we kind of became friends on the Street Angel tour (after 6 shows) and he actually brought Stevie over to me and introduced us. She grabbed me and hugged me! I miss him! Her security nowadays are pricks.
I found this page that has pics of him with Ronnie Wood: http://www.maverick-music.com/zemaitisusers.asp
Not sure when these were taken. I couldn't get the first four to open, but #5 worked for me!

Is he the guy in For What It's Worth?
no.
That was a guy who used to be the drummer for Crosby Stills Nash I believe it was. And he went on to become a drug/alcohol counselor.
His name escapes me at the moment though I'd know it if I heard it. I'm sure one of the Ledgies knows it right off the top of their head.
btw this got me curious and I googled Johnny and found this story:
http://blog.line6.com/2012/backstage-and-on-the-road-johnny-starbuck-discusses-30-years-of-life-as-a-roadie-for-the-rolling-stones-part-1/
and this clip where you can watch Johnny talking about his work with the Stones. He first appears about :56
