Has someone been digging up some old usenet posts? Ha!Yes indeed! How'd you know? I'm in Nostalgia Mode, especially now with the appearance of FaeryFarts.

Why simply because I was a witness to these tumultuous and usually highly entertaining times: constant bickering and backstabbing, fresh troll du jour on the menu, chaos and mayhem with Stevie looming in the background, always permeating it all. Yup, such a shame rec.music.artists.stevie-nicks has become a wasteland ;)

Well that was at the begining of the tour so it was spontaneous then. I wasn't expecting it, but as the tour went on it wasn't as special anymore because, she did it every night!

Sigh... Who could possibly forget the verbose doberman? ;)
And as I said... just a witness of sorts. The kind who weeps after pulling the trigger that sets in motion the chain reaction which would turn a flourishing grassland into a wasteland. Heh I love drama.

Sigh... Who could possibly forget the verbose doberman?Well, I do talk a lot. That's true. But two of the books that have meant the most to me over the years are Jacques Barzun's "Simple & Direct: A Rhetoric for Writers" & Ernest Gowers's "Plain Words." So the principles of clear, simple, direct prose, free of jargon, cant, doublespeak & vacuity, have always been my guiding light.
I will start another thread of books on prose & rhetoric that have been important to me.
And as I said... just a witness of sorts. The kind who weeps after pulling the trigger that sets in motion the chain reaction which would turn a flourishing grassland into a wasteland. Heh I love drama.I think I remember you! You're Jim from Bellsouth!

No, it wasn't. She's been singing it for twenty years.

Well this was the first solo tour I've seen. It was spontaneous to me! I'm not a bootleg trader so I had never heard the song live ever.

My favorite vocal would have to be Gold and Braid on the in concert video. Next would come OTR from Red Rocks.

Where can one find the "in concert" video? That's the HBO one, right?
Back on topic...I love, love, love Insider. IAF from Vegas 5/14 is right up there too!

Stevie solo... I'm gonna have to agree with Gold and Braid.
With the Mac, that one SOTM (I forget years and such) was awesome.

Paula-
I bet it was great to see her perform that song live---
and on the opening night!!
It was a surprise that she brought that out from so long ago. And I imagine the movie in the background was breat -taking too!
People were just expecting to see it performed, on the Gold Dust tour after hearing about her doing it in Vegas.
But, to have been there the first night must have been magic. :) :)
I picked my fav live- from something everyone could listen to. I think it is her best recorded live tune.

Hi everybody! Beauty and the Beast during this last tour was absolutely beautiful. The second Stevie opened her mouth to sing, I was like  Seeing that the first night must've rocked! My other favorite live vocal is Silver Springs from The Dance. SO GREAT!
