I should be allowed to post an article that comes from a conservative web site...right? Is that the problem?

I don't think that's the problem. You should be able to post an article from a conservative website. That being said, I don't think it's a reliable source. That doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to post it.

The link was fine. Intentionally inciting a flame war is not. Most of us know the difference between an authentic post and one that is just meant to get a rise out of people. The latter isn't tolerated. If things are posted to inform, that is one thing, but if they are posted with the intent to inflame and enrage then that is another and it is unacceptable.

The problem was for GDW was that it seemed that the post was put there for people to fight over what was stated in the link. Also, the link was also a message board, and we can't post links to other message boards.
There are people who are very new and maybe they always won't do things that everyone agrees with like say, Johnny Stew does ( but we all can't be as great as him:)
If everyone can just bear with us. AND please, if you feel something is wrong, tell us and we can explain or just admit our mistakes. We are NOT perfect, we just want to keep things peaceful and not offend anyone, that's it:) Sorry if anyone is upset but can you understand why maybe GDW thought what she did? If certain people have a rep of maybe going against the flow you kind of wonder if they keep doing the same thing?
Discuss, discuss, just maybe without the link and definitely without name calling to each other.

It just seems to me that very few moderaters were around when I began posting, with the exceptions of Brian and Janet. Now, there just seems to be many more references to the FAQ and rules, etc. That is not a criticism of the current moderators at all, it's just that the moderators' involvement has increased some, IMO, and so perhaps many of us are adjusting to the changes.

It wasn't a message board, but I have already cleared up that confusion elsewhere. So we are back to another reason again? Perhaps GDW could explain for herself why she thought that the link was put there for people to fight over when the discussion was intelligent and non-accusatory? For the record, I am not personally attacking her. If you had done the deletions, Janet, I would be asking you the same thing. I do appreciate you attempting to explain GDW's actions, though. :)

True, all of us are fallible. No one should be ashamed to come out and admit that him/herself. In fact, as I said elsewhere, if it truly was a mistake there's no reason to get all up in arms over it. Mistakes happen. I'm willing to let it go if that's the case.
Discuss, discuss, just maybe without the link and definitely without name calling to each other.
