i don't know if anyone knows about this site, but it lists the cheapest and most expensive gas prices in your area for the last 48 hours- it is constantly updated by citizens who have been to the stations listed.
so far, all of the cheap gas in my city is miles and miles away- not worth driving to!
maybe it will help some of you :)

and it seemed reliable.
I feel bad for those in Atlanta where a bit ago they showed gasoline prices at the pump at $5.87 a gallon...Either that's a price gouging incident or the gas station owner is intentionally keeping customers away.
It is expected to jump $.20-$.30 a gallon overnight here, I betcha the upcoming Sept.13 vote to raise gas tax in Oklahoma by $.05 per gallon to help pay for road repairs fails as miserably as any issue as of late.

Oh yeah - GasBuddy! I use it often :)
It was pretty overloaded today though - I couldn't even get on!

Keep in mind in reference to the gas prices -- the reason it's so high is because the people who own the gas stations have to make some sort of money as well -- most aren't making more than a few cents per gallon which is leaving much difficulty in being able to purchase more from the main distributor. Meanwhile, the distributor is running out and or trying to conserve the souce. What used to cost $10,000 for a load of gas from a distributor now is costing upwards of $20,000 and putting a lot of people out of business. I know it's difficult to picture anything but the men in suits but there are little people out there trying to make a living and struggling because of what's going on. Unfortunately, there are always going to be people price gauging but generally, no one is profiting.
