If I tried that, I'd have a heart attack before we even got to Base camp. Incidentally, my 2 favorite places that I've been to are Hong Kong and Austraila. Europe was alot of fun too.

Hong Kong was stunning. I stayed in Kowloon at the Intercontinental and my room had like 20 feet of windows facing Hong Kong and 15 feet facing the new museam and The Peninsula. It was great!!!!!

I remember visiting Germany for the first time 3 years ago. It meant so much to me. I'm first generation american in my family from Munich, and when I went there I got to see the Neuschwanstein Castle that my grandmother had so many pictures of. Wen I was theree it felt like she was right there with me. She died in 1999. :distress:

I'm really impressed. You've traveled quite a bit. DOesnt traveling not only make you appriciate how good we have it here in some ways, but also it just helps make one a better person by traveling and experiencing different places, know what I mean?

I have gotten off of the return plane to the US and wanted to kiss the ground. People may bitch about it here, but we have it soooooo much better than many of the places I visited.
Also, I have been all over the world. I love to travel.

Well growing up as a Navy brat my Dad made sure to pick locales that we would appreciate when we grew up. No stateside tours for us. My favorite place we lived and the place I would love to go back to if it was safe - Beirut, Lebanon. It used to be the mecca of the Mediteranean and the vacation spot for many Europeans. I've been invited to stay with people who work for the same organization I do but I still don't feel safe going back. Other than that Australia and New Zealand top my list.

Unfortunately the **** hit the fan while we lived there. We were evacuated out of the country during the 6 day war and were sent to Rome to wait it out. We moved back to Beirut for another year but it was never the same. Beautiful country though.

i'm far from being loaded, but i do live in a tiny, isolated country, where travelling comes quite cheap, so i usually go abroad once or twice a year. i'll go anywhere as long as it's affordable, fun, and that the drugs are interesting.
