I like it better live. It is hard to choose now. Goodbye baby is my favorite closing track of any recent album, FM or solo. It worked well live too. I love the power of Frozen Love and the moodiness of Gold Dust Woman.

This was not an easy decision to make, but i'm gonna have to go with "Gold Dust Woman" because I feel that "Songbird" really should have closed 'Rumours' instead... I think these other 3 songs are better closers, imo.. "Gold Dust Woman" doesn't end well, and really shouldn't have been a closing track...

So long Beastie (and whenever I think that this song is someway/how about Mick- just makes me go ...eww...). I preferred thinking it was all about the fairy tale :rolleyes:

:shocked: Usually, I do agree with you. Not this time! :laugh: I love how GDW ends! All that weirdness? Very cool.

Anyhow... on to my vote: toss up between BATB and GB. I love BATB better LIVE - but this is about closers, right? I think Goodbye Baby is a better closer. So I vote off Beauty and the Beast. Wah.

i agree! however, i think it definately should have faded out instead of just ending abrubtly... it's too sudden of an ending to close an album.. if it had slowly faded out as all the "weirdness" ( :lol: ) was happening, it would have been a better closer, imo ;)

The other songs left are much stronger album closers...especially Gold Dust Woman, what a prefect end to a perfect album.

can't really listen to it after hearing The Tower--so beautiful, and such a wonderful vocal. one of my favorite vocals of hers of all time for me. It recalls Carole King, I've always thought.

I feel the same way. I really don't like the vocals on the beginning of the SYW version. The demo is amazing though :nod:
