I'm listening to the 9/17/94 performance at the House of Blues in Hollywood, and Stevie is blowing me away on every song. Gold Dust Woman...oh my god. In my opinion this is one of her best performances...audio wise. So yeah, appreciate it with me. lol

Great show! Talk to Me is incredible. Best Version EVAH!

No idea why she didnt do MLWCYM, but still fantastic show. That version of Stand Back is one of my all time favorites.

That's because 99% of it was re-recorded in the studio.

Still a great show, though, even if it isn't really live.

You're right, Diss, but I also love the "lost concert" version without the overdubs. Yes, she sounds rough cuz of the bronchitis, but damn what a kickass show.

I prefer the real radio version from that night. She sounds like she swallowed shattered glass and polished it off with Drain-O, but damn, that show kicked ass. I love me some Street Angel tour vocals.

Are you wearing earplugs?

She had bronchitis when that show was taped, sounded scratchy as all get out, and then went into the studio to re-record the vocals for the Westwood One rebroadcast. The vocals are completely different.

I am confused. Are the vocals different on the two posted days on this thread. If so, I cannot hear them.

No. The 9/18 show was broadcast live, and then fixed up in the studio for a Westwood One rebroadcast later on (January '95). The live version has totally different vocals AND Blue Denim.

That's because they're posted as two different shows when they're the exact same one: the Westwood One rebroadcast from 1995, only with Blue Denim tacked in there.

I'll try to rip a song from the real live broadcast and you can compare it for yourself.

Okay, here's Outside the Rain and part of Dreams from the original live broadcast. Compare it to the version broadcasted in early 1995, it's obvious they overdubbed her ragged vocals. :)

Well, the real show is out there (I just posted Outside the Rain from it) and it's ten times better than the sterile radio version.

How do I know which version I have? I just have something that says HOB 1994. I guess I could compare my version to the one diss posted. It doesn't really matter to me as long as I love it.

The live version is two discs, the Westwood One version is only one disc.

This version is fantastic! The other one is good, but, I agree...this "unfixed" version is 10X better.

OK, this is one of my MOST FAV shows ever, and I guess I wasn't in class the day "what's real" and what's in a studio, re-dubbed" was explained. Can someone educate me? So if I have a boot titled "Welcome to My World", that I stupidly (in my world, that's a word) bought from Wynnco (the anti-christs of memrobilia sales) is that the 1st or second night? I guess I'll just dld both to be sure, but thought perhaps I could save some time.

I appreciate right with you. HOT. I think the roughness of her voice adds an extra edge too. One of the best audio performances out there.

Maybe I'm totally confused, but it's my impression that these two dates are actually the same. They sound identical to me. The link that
Dissention posted sounds different. So, as I'm understanding, the "real" one is just the single song that Diss posted. The two links with the complete shows on them are both "re-dubbed" versions.

That said, I could be 100% wrong.

It's the same show, same night.

The "Welcome to My World" or "Westwood One" version is one disc, does not contain Blue Denim & was "fixed" later in the studio before it aired. That's the show David is offerering.

The "lost" concert is the original live recording that is on 2 discs & contains Blue Denim. The vocal is very, very rough cuz she was really sick, but she gave it her all & kicked it. Hard. Diss just gave your guys OTR from that version.

I like the raw one better.

I'm also not sure! I downloaded those shows as different shows with different dates, but it could also be that these are exactly the same (just that the radio version has Blue Denim, but why was Blue Denim was left of from the Welcome To My World bootleg?)

That's the show David is offerering.Yeah, lead vocals were cleaned up for national broadcast via Westwood One. That isn't the first time Stevie has done that, & it probably won't be the last.

So fans could refer to one version as "Westwood One" & the other version as "KLSX" to try to keep it clear.

Bummer I only have 1 disk so I guess I have the "re-touched" version. Anyone care to trade me the 2 disk raw version? I'd like that much better.
