Hello fellow ledgies! I thought this would be fun. Create your own Stevie Solo tour. Give the name of the tour, specify your opening act or specify you do not want one, give the approximate time of the concert, ticket prices, dates, cities, venues, setlist, album to promote or new material she is workin' on( include the new songs in the setlist... make the titles up), setlist with special guests or not( setlist will include stevie solo songs you want to hear or mac songs you want to hear or covers you want to hear), outfits she will wear, and of course design the merchandise and give DETAILS of the tourbooks!!! I guess the tours can be judged if anyone wants to... just reply to the thread or pm me if you want to judge.. served on a first come first served basis... so reply fast . I really would like to have fun with this and I want all the ledgies to have fun... so let's all participate!!!!!!!! I will include my tour later. Thanks Ledgies! :D

That's another tour I'll be missing.

I have no idea what I'd name a tour of hers, I'm sure Stevie's crew could pick some suitably cheesy. Tickets would top off at $60, no more than that, and she'd play small venues. And I mean small venues. Like, The Calvin (http://www.iheg.com/calvin_theater_main.asp) in Northampton, MA small. No big, theatrical productions, no backup singers, no video screens, etc. Almost everything would be stripped down to the bare essentials, much like Carole King's last tour. Her setlist would change nightly, too, but I'd love to hear these:

Outside the Rain
Sable On Blonde/Dreams
Planets of the Universe (like the Rumours reissue version)
Midnight In Memphis (Midler cover)
Storms
Just Like A Woman
Smile At You
Michelangelo (Emmylou Harris cover)
Sleeping Angel
Somebody Stand By Me
Gold
Goodbye Baby
Candlebright
Long Black Veil (Johnny Cash cover)
Bella Donna
I Miss You
Some Become Strangers
Nightbird
Street Angel
Ooh My Love

What about Long Way to Go??

Yeah, add that one. But I want a stripped-down show, no synth or any of that ****. They'd have to put some effort into changing these songs to fit.

Hmmm that would be interesting. LWTG would be a very hard vocal for her to pull off.

Worcester Centrum 2 nights, Portland ME, Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Verizon Wireless in NH

Those would be ideal places for me!

I don't have time to do this now but a couple of things:

-The venue would be my Mom's back yard in San Francisco (since I don't have one)

-It would be free with all expenses paid to SF.

-The only people invited are Ledgies (with at least 100 posts).

-There will be a pre-show dinner w/Stevie followed by an after party with Stevie.

-There will be a surprise guest (Tom Petty) and they will do Insider for the Encore.

*I'll do this for real later when I have more time.

Screw all of you for not including Buffalo on your list.

I agree with Diss, small intimate venues. I can't speak for other cities, but I would pay top dollar to see her at Shea's Buffalo Theatre. UB's Center for the Arts wold be second choice.

Tix: $35 - $75

I don't think I would name the tour. 100 minute show; around 18 songs per show. 1 drum solo allowed, to intro Stand Back - 2 minutes max. Waddy's guitar can stay to intro Edge, but also 2 minutes max.

Clothes - no Frankenboks. Flat boots OK. Heels for encore. I don't mind if she leaves black on underneath, but more capes please, rich colors & fabrics - burgundy, royal blue, dark green, deep amythest (sp.) At least one hat (top hat) during the show and hair up for B&tB.

Setlist would change every night. The only tunes that would be done at every single show are:

Edge of 17
Stand Back
B&tB
Bella Donna
Rooms on Fire
Talk To Me

The rest would be done for at least one show. Any of these tunes would be fine:

Kind of Woman
Sable on Blond
The Nightmare
Juliet
Think About It
Gate and Garden
Some Become Strangers
HSML
No Spoken Word
Long Way To Go
Doing the Best That I Can
Blue Denim
Street Angel

It's Only Love
TISL
If You Ever Did Believe
Touched By An Angel
OTR
If I Were You
Garbo
Blue Lamp
I Can't Wait

Limit of two Mac songs per show. She can choose from:

I Don't Wanna Know
GDW
Straight Back
That's Alright
Seven Wonders
Beautiful Child
Storms
Angel
Thrown Down
Smile At You
EFO
No Questions Asked
Fireflies

How could you forget europe!!!!!

Only one in London November 03, good show but bad seats - they also didn't play goodbye baby and the crowd were a bit quiet -but me and my mate ignored them and carried on as if it was a show just for us, great night overall though, Also saw Behind the Mask in 90, disappointing as stevie didn't do alot in that show, and saw stevie solo in 89 - exciting to see her so didn't realy notice the quality of the show.

Does anyone know what's going on with Stevie having a regular Vegas gig? I know Bette Midler is going to be headlining Caesar's with Celine and Elton starting pretty soon (50 some odd shows a year, I believe), so I was wondering about Stevie. I imagine that if she had a regular gig, it wouldn't be very lengthy.

Darien Lake is between Rochester & Buffalo, but I hate it there. I have yet to have a good concert experience there - the shows aren't bad or anything, but compared to other outdoor venues (Blosson, Post Gazette) it sucks - long lines, filthy bathrooms, rude people, poor sound. Blech.

Shea's is a opulent old theatre built in the 20's & recently refurbished. It is gorgeous. Check it out:

I would love to see the Stevie Nicks "Pandora's Box" tour. The set list would be made up of several songs from the unreleased archive, plus a few recreations of her released songs, but very few "hits". This would be a show for her more diehard fans, not a widespread tour. Maybe a few nights at the House of Blues, with a short tour at smaller venues across the country and Europe (see, I didn't forget you guys). I saw Cyndi Lauper at the Roxy last year only doing songs from her new CD of covers, and it was advertised as such, so would this show. "A show for her fans", "special limited engagement where Stevie pulls from her archives some very rare material, many of which have never been performed before". I think even casual fans would enjoy something like that. The tourbook would be collections of Stevie through the ages. Maybe have a spread on each page with a different decade, with a few lyrics in pretty cursive of a song from that decade. Stevie in the 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000 and on, or something like that.

It would be a stripped down show with mostly acoustic guitar and piano, light drums and bass, and maybe a little keyboards here and there (although a small string section could totally give a different persepctive on Stand Back and Nightbird). Yes, she would have her girls with her for backup. The outfits would be as spangled and gorgeous as she'd like them to be.

No opening act, this looks like a pretty long show. Unless the venue has a good local singer/songwriter to showcase.

Setlist:

Outside The Rain/Dreams
Candlebright
Crying In the Night (with special guest Lindsay Buckingham)
Real Tears
Blue Water
Rhiannon (slow piano version)
Forest of the Black Roses
Maker of Birds
(The Three Birds of Rhiannon)
Stand Back
Nightbird
Blue Lamp
Julia
Nomad
Edge of Seventeen (reggae version)

You Could Forget (Garbo - steel guitar version)
The Tower (piano only)
Cathouse Blues

(http://www.keanemusic.com/) I'm not affiliated with them, I SWEAR!

But - they're AWESOME! And seems like it would "fit."

Concert is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. SHARP so you might want to be

there by 8 p.m

$18 for b.y.o.l. ( Bring Your Own Lawnchair  )

Dates: Chris Isaac, the lead singer of Keane, Bill Cli- OH i thought you

meant for STEVIE! Uhmm, how about 1 month on,

one month off, for a year, with shows every three days?

Cities: "Uhmmm, ALL of 'em, I THII-iiinnk! . . ."

Setlist: Oh god. . . . . . . . .

Opens with Destiny's Child version of "Bootylicious" using Stevie's guitar

playing of the "Edge" riff -

GEEZ that was awesome! ;)

1.) "Stop Dragin' My Heart Around" - about half the shows, Tom Petty

comes out and sings with her halfway through the song - but no one

knows which shows!

2.) If I Were You.

3.) Fire Burning.

4.) Doing the Best That I Can - if this song were spruced up for a

concert? omg.

5.) Talk to Me.

"So that's it, right?"

"NO! NOW for the FIRE!!!"

6.) Rhiannon.

7.) Stand Back. Two high-kicks and 20 spins, full-throttle.

8.) Edge of Seventeen, complete with The Walk and no overly-

protective security.

9.) 24-Karot Gold/At the Fair/ Angry version of Smile at You medley.

10.) Gold - duet with Jon Stewart.

11.) Whenever I Call You Friend - with Kenny Loggins and Carly Simon.

( Don't wake me, this is a GOOD one! )

12.) Leather and Lace - Duet with - well, YOU know . . . HIM!!! :)

13.) Dreams.

14.) GDW

15.) Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You?

16.) Medley - Bella Donna/Enchanted/Outside the Rain/If Anyone Falls/

Stand Back reprise.

17.) Beauty and the Beast.

18.) Desert Angel. I just got a chill, I swear.

OH and somebody get a camera into Kinney's hands -

DRAFT him if you have to! GEEEZ he's good!

Darien or Shea's? Darien has pretty much everyone who plays at Blossom & Post-Gazette, but Stevie & Mac have never been. No clue why. I just saw Petty there & this summer Coldplay, Motley Crew, Meatloaf, Allman Brothers Band & a bunch of others were there.

Shea's...well, I did just see Cinderella, Ratt, Quiet Riot & Firehouse there, do they count as big name acts? It is mostly Boradway shows & major comedy acts (George Carlin is coming in about a month) but musical acts have played there occasionally. I think it would be spectacular.

I'm with you there - longer stays at smaller venues, a more intimate show, pulling out the "Pandora's Box" tunes - it takes the stress of touring away, she stays on top vocal and physical form, doesn't get tired, and I would pay to see each night in my town (thanks to all those who forgot Stevie fans in the Northwest!!) if she mixed up the set each night.... as long as ticket prices didn't go above $45 (she would make a heck of a lot of money that way!!)

I like current Mariah, bitch. I'm all for eliminating those other two smelly wet farts, though. As much as I'd liked to also like to get rid of Gayken, doing so would deprive Kathy of so much great material that it wouldn't be worth it in the end (and I also wouldn't be able to laugh at the idea of him and Reichen shacking up any longer).

OMG, YES! I worship her. She'd open with Kathy Griffin, though.

Yeah, I'm a huge fan. I've been following her since I was 13 (now I'm 28). She rocks my world. I remember when she did her little spoof on Stevie in her act I got a real kick out of it but I didn't appriciate it back then as I was not into Stevie. Have you ever seen her live? She is classic. I want to marry her.

Yes, yes, YES. I've been saying for years that if she wasn't a lesbo, I'd have babies with her. I've seen her live quite a few times, have all of her books, albums, and movies, etc. She's one of the funniest women in the world. I think I'll pop in I'm Still Here...Damn It! right now, as a matter of fact.

Ha ha that's a great one but the best is still Without You I'm Nothing. That's when I discovered her. It was just released on DVD. I watched it yesterday. What memories!
By the way has she always been more bi than lesbian IMO. She speaks of affairs with men so I've always assumed she was bi. You still have a chance ;).

"My father's a proctologist. My mother's an abstract artist. That's how I view the world."

And I love the bit about going home for lunch and treating her mother like a waitress. "I'd sit at the counter...and ignore her."

:woohoo: I? Love her. Wish she'd do something again soon.

I just realized something -

And I did this myself, too! -

WHY

IS

NOBODY

MENTIONING

SARA!???

Stevie's performance of this used to be MIND-blowing in the 70s!

Sorry if I overlooked someone's post - but -

GEEEZ - how could we forget???

"Said Sara . . . .

Your the POET in MY HEART -

never CHANGE -

NE-ver stop -

and now it's GOOOONEEE -

It does-'nt MA-tter any MORRRE

But when you BUILD your house -

well then CALL ME -

HOME."

Sara is my favorite and I love it live. But I wouldn't want her doing it without Lindsey and the Mac. Funny though because one of my favorite Sara's is from her solo tour...the hbo in concert show.

This a great idea. My dream tour...

Rooms on Fire
Dreams (the deep dish version, because the reg. version needs to be retired, and soon!)
Talk to me (with the acapella ending)
GDW
Sorcerer
Gypsy (acoustic)
Garbo (acoustic)
Planets of the Universe (acoustic, ala Rumours reissue verson)
Stand Back
Nightbird
Violet and blue
Fall from Grace
Edge of Seventeen (with an all white outfit and boots damn it!)
-encore #1-
Rock and Roll
Beauty and the Beast

then, with the stage completely black except for a single spotlight, she comes back out with a black hooded cape, sits on a stool, and sings Storms with only a guitar and grand piano accompanying her. End

The Tower, piano only - omg!

That demo version still gets me every time I hear it. :)

Best idea yet. Bravo!

BTW, I also want Lady From the Mountain.

Thank you very much. How did I forget Lady? LOL! Yes, add that in there for sure.

Little Bird (Annie Lennox cover)

That is an interesting choice and one of my favorite Annie songs.
