look at the new BRITISH DANCE CHART (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/dancesingles.shtml). note the new entry at #26  .
can anyone shed some light on this track? (an MP3 would be even better).

Last week I heard a dance remix version of Dreams on the local radio. The track was announced [blah blah artist] ft. Stevie Nicks.

that's not it.
you are referring to the new Deep Dish cover (feat. stevie of course) which is their upcoming new single. i'm not talking about this one.

Well, think of the possible offspring of that monster, Gerald. *rilt*

Only if you like dance! Which I do, kind of.
I suspect danax6 doesn't though, so in that case the ofspring would be 100% a monster!

btw, are we talking about this mix (http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showthread.php?t=21987) by any chance?!

i'm with Gerald on this one, i think "the offspring" is stuff like the Corrs' version, the new version may only take it a pace back, to its more "pure" form. anyhow, i highly doubt this single's potential due to the fact that Dreams became a total cliche' by now, it's so revived, that it doesn't need to be covered. trying to make it a hit again would be an overkill.

I thoroughly hate dance. But not even as much as I hate LL!

Corrs, Eww, Eww, Eww!
I agree about the overkill and the lack of hit-potential. I don't think the track's that bad though. I can stand it better than the Corrs. (but that goes for so much ;) )

Hmm, good thought Mari. But I think the Jellybean remix is either one of the old 80s TITN remixes or something done a while back. I'm pretty sure it's been floating round for a while. I might be wrong though - we need one of the bootleg pros.

The Deep Dish (previously typed as Deepfish before I checked) version of Dreams has a new Stevie vocal recording... and she does the falsetto!! :xoxo:

It's interesting to hear such a nice album version with just Stevie singing on the chorus, not the whole band.

Hm. I just downloaded something on soulseek called "Little Lies - Unknown Breakbeat mix". It's dance, it's not Chris singing, it's mwoh, ok. Don't know if this is what we're talking about, but if anyone's interested, pm me and I can email it to you.

edit: I also found a dancemix sung by a Tanya Sunshine. This one sounds really awful!

I found another one... this one's definitely a remix of the original, but not one of the remixes David has on his site!

Not that I think you need to be a musical genius to come up with a dance record.

I disagree with you there, some remixes of classic oldies are brilliant, giving a whole new interpretation to a song.
But these three LL mixes I found.. you're right on those. Afgrijselijk!

Not that I think you need to be a musical genius to come up with a dance record.

Oh, tsk! Rolling my eyes right back at you  Same can be said of so many pop songs that sound just like a zillion others. Music is music, doesn't matter how it's created, what matters if it sounds good to you, and that's your personal taste.

i expected that by now one of them would get a hold of a copy and solve this mystery. *hint*hint*

Is it "Alter Nation vs. Fleetwood Mac"? I heard a trance mix that samples Fleetwood mac, and I think maybe this was it? Although I think I heard a different version of it than what I was able to find online.

I'm not completely sure she's doing the falsetto! It sounds very much like pitch correction to make it sound like the original.

Yeah it does. I don't think she's hitting that note either. BUT...it sounds good. It's a great version of the song.
