What Fiona is being released?

Is it Extraordinary Machine, with a few new tracks. Or did she just start from scratch?

Never mind - I found it. :D

I can't believe they updated the fiona-apple.com website (after 5 years of When The Pawn stuff)...

Thanks for the heads-up!!!

I just recently discovered Kate Bush. I very rarely buy CDs when they first come out. Usually I buy all kinds of old vinyl albums and cassette tapes. Kate's new album will be the first new album I buy since Trouble in Shangri-La four years ago.

You didn't get Say You Will? Or you just didn't get it when it came out?

(But you DID get it, right??? )

Kate Bush! :blob2: I honestly thought that after 12 years we'd never hear from her again .I certainly hope this is accurate.

FINALLY!!! A release date! She's had this album ready for like a year. I'm so happy to hear that it will finally be released. I'm really excited to see what she's been up to the past 12 years. Last I heard about the album, she was working with an orchestra on a few tracks. So, should be interesting. Can't wait! I LOVE KATE BUSH!!!

and maybe, so far...we got Kate bush November 8th.I gave up on her.

I liked "The Red Shoes" work back then, & managed to track down the sheet music songbook/folio, too.

the last I actually heard of Ms. Bush was that beautiful "Ma No Niminy-Piminy" or whatever -- the Gaelic track from some soundtrack -- & that was about six or eight years ago, so I gave up on her (although her fans are a lot cooler than FM fans).

Jesus - I actually thought for a moment you meant she was going to tour! (insert sound of person falling over here)

I heard she doesn't tour because of her insane fear of flying. I would love to see her live some day...

I frickin LOVE Fiona and have every intention of seeing her this go-round, God willing that she tours!
As for Bush, I am really Hot/cold with her. Either Adore the stuffin' out of some of her works or abhore it. Real weird. Don't know much about her, but the Hounds of Love is a must have cd!
Depeche Mode. Being a fan of the 80's, and the alternative wave of that era, they are essential, but since then? I mean are they worth the weight of a CD since say late 80's to early 90's? I'm not "dissin" here, just legit asking. I kinda thought they had fallen off the planet creatively since Violater. Tell me, am I missing out on something great since then?
Otherwise, hell yea. Great taste in music!

You're definitely missing out! Do you have any of the post-Violator albums? Songs Of Faith And Devotion (1993) and Ultra (1997) are two of their best, imho. Exciter (2001) was hit or miss, but still worth owning.

It's still untitled, but the release date is a lock for November 8th. It's a double CD. I did cartwheels when I found out both of those pieces of information.

I think the reason she won't tour anymore is because during her one and only tour in the late 70's there was a hideous accident and one of her crew/roadies was killed. Kate Bush is brilliant, everything she does is fantastic and unashamedly bonkers.

I'm sure that that happened and has something to do with it and I think it has something to do with a nasty fall as well.

There is a video (possibly dvd) you can get of a massively edited show from her tour called live at the hammersmith apollo.

If anyone wants the chords to "Blow Away" or any other Kate Bush song, just holler.

She's planning a smallish tour. It looks like they're going to put her into large-ish theatres. 2,000 seaters on average? I'm excited about it, I've never seen her live.

I love all kates stuff but her best album is hounds of love - a hard choice, but the ninth wave pieces are incredible.

YOU'RE GONNA LOSE IT! It is so freaking good! Look for her version of Candle In The Wind. It was released as a b-side for the single for Rocket Man. You'll have goose bumps!

She did an amazing "The Man I Love" too.

Oh.My.God. You are so right, that is awesome! Can't stop listening to it. Looking for CITW right now. Is Wild Horses a Stones cover, it's listed on Lime Wire. Thank you all the same for opening my ear's and heart to all these great songs. Kate Bush takes me back to the 80's, in my farm house apartment with the BF and no worries, just parties, oh life was good then.

Ooooohhhhhh, the video, in the midst of all the cheezy '80's video's, that one was HAWT!
