okay, if you don't know the Camper Van Beethovensong with the same title as lindsey's new song, you can download a audience-recorded live-version here
http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=17524&from=dayInHistory
if that link doesn't work maybe this one helps
http://www.archive.org/download/cvb2005-01-16B-flac/cvb2005-01-16b-t22_vbr.mp3
go to audiofiles shut us down and download the MP3 in the last column
(2.0 MB)
I like it a lot, and i think it will suit lindsey very well. Ofcourse I'm hoping for something brand new, but this would be cool. And because they covered all of Tusk it is a serious possibility......

It's too much of a coinky-dink for his song to be titled that with the whole CVB remaking Tusk thing. I bet it's the same song.
*off to listen*

If this is it, what a perfect song for Lindsey! I can see him choosing it as a little homage to CVB. I'd like to see him perform it. Thanks for the download link.

yeah, I like it too.
And the irony is fun too. They cover the whole album Tusk in one weekend. Lindsey covers a 70 second CVB song in 9 months. :D
no, maybe it isn't true at all.
am dying to hear this, but the download doesn't work for me :(

Where can we find out if he wrote it? Some Ledgies have posted information regarding copyrights or something for music written by Stevie, Lindsey and Christine before. Can someone find that info out?

The US Copyright Office currently has no submissions for new music from Lindsey. The last submissions were last year for some of the previously unreleased song from the special edition discs.
This does not mean it is not his tune, but does lead one to make a more educated guess about the songs origin.

I didn't bother to post about it though, because, like JohnRun said, there's nothing new there for Lindsey.
Doesn't mean that this is definitely a cover though.

Well, well, guess we'll have to wait a little while longer.

Heck yeah...I can see this as a great song for him to have a go at (or have written even..maybe).It's kind of Gift of Screwy-ish. Here's hoping if it is this song..he makes it last a lot longer, than the 1 min or so wer'e hearing :D

well that's right. but it rocks. I personally hope lindsey's working at a lot of pointy rocking gems like GOS, the ledge, given thing etc. I love those little burst-outs.

I wonder if he's not working on any rocking gems, if he'd consider taking the back seat and giving his expertise to up and coming /established groups,... be a producer for others kinda thing. Maybe he could think about this option , if there's no more music coming out (there again, he did say he was writing like mad on the SYW tour..so...) here's hoping there's something yet to surface.
