If there is one song that makes you put your foot down on the gas and sing along as hard as you can, what song will it be?????

With me it really depends on my mood, but a favorite is a song by the dutch band named Diesel called Sausalito summer nights.

One that immediately comes to mind is "Boys of Summer" by Don Henley.

three posts and 2.5 dutch bands  We only get stuck in traffic!

dutch:
diesel
radar love by golden earring from the Hague
and a Van Halen song. The brothers Van Halen were born in my hometown, het Willemskwartier in Nijmegen.

Oh and I saw a AC/DC-track too. Angus lives in Holland too: in Aalten. And he does for a long time now- 'bout 25 years?

My fave driving song Is;

New Orleans Is Sinking by The Tragically Hip
or
Driver's Seat By Sniff 'n' the Tears
or
Amphetamine by Steve Wynn THAT one is dangerous!!!!! From his 2003-abum.

Two come to mind:

Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run

Cyndi Lauper - I Drove All Night

"Black On Black" by Heart, "Michael" by Franz Ferdinand, and "Golden Rod" by Blondie are my three big ones.

"Long Way To Go" is a good, one, too, as is just about anything from ABC and Duran Duran.

Yeah, they had a best driving song contest.

The viewers had the choice between Radar Love-Golden Earring, Born to be Wild-Steppewolf, a song by Deep Purple, Don't stop me now-Queen and Bat out of hell-Meatloaf.

They did everything to persuade people not to vote for Meatloaf, it worked.
Queen was the winner followed by Golden Earring.

The Charlie's Angels 2 Soundtrack.
The Charlie's Angels 2 soundtrack RULES. I'm a music snob, and that stupid CD hasn't left my car since the day I got it at work. That version of "Rebel Rebel" is awesome, and come on... you've got "Livin' on a Prayer," "Danger! High Voltage" by the Electric Six, Edwyn Collins' "A Girl Like You"... and, uh, "I Just Wanna Be Your Everything" by Andy Gibb. It gets my seal of approval.

I associate driving with the windows down with amazing weather and having fun with John Mellencamp... "Hurts So Good," "Cherry Bomb," "Just Another Day," and "Key West Intermezzo" specifically. Every night for the last two weeks while leaving work I've played "Hurts So Good" and "I Need Love" by Sam Phillips, and embarrass myself singing loudly with the windows open.

Keeping with my recent Yaz obsession, "Upstairs at Eric's" is actually a great album to drive to. The upbeat-ness of it keeps me from screaming at the idiot drivers around me.

Other good stuff to drive to:

- "Running Through The Garden" (the RAL demo)

- "The Reflex", Duran Duran

- "Dancing In Berlin", Berlin

Maybe, but we definately nearly drive. The first three seconds of gathering speed we'll have to hit the brakes. All that non-driving energy goes into the rock I guess.

But it is great that Radar love (1973!) is still something overseas. Can you believe that The Golden Earring still exists in the same line-up as on radar love? They were formed in '65. And they still rock, 34 (!) albums and (!) 65 singles later.

It's not the greatest song in the world... it's just a tribute.

I like to play "Wonderboy" and "Explosivo" in the car. I actually play that album anytime I take a road trip at least once or twice.

"Life's Been Good" - Joe Walsh.

This goes back to my high school days, playing the 8 track  of But Seriously, Folks in my car, smoking a joint and cranking that thing up as loud as it would go! Whenever I hear that song, it takes me back.
