I don't know how many of you take a look at Stevie's board but there's a thread about a 40th anniversary concert or tour.

Most of the discussions centre around Chris and whether she would do it. (Bet she doesn't)

Which makes a change from threads about Chris somehow managing to mention Stevie.

Just thought I'd share that.

That thread should be moved to the Rumours board IMO
It means fans who may not visit the Stevie forum may totally miss it, which is a shame.

If the thread's about a 40th anniversary Fleetwood Mac show, then it should be in the Rumours forum. I never go into the Stevie forum. It's too scary.

P.S. I don't think Chris would do the show either. She has specifically said, "I'll never play live again".

Hahaha...you've got that right! Did you ever stick your head in the nicksfix webchat when that room gets full of Stevie nuts? Holy smokes! Mondo Bizzaro.

I agree - it should go into the Rumours Forum. I also wanted to ask - did Chris say she'd never play live again, or never tour again?

Hey! :( Don't go lumping us all together! You won't find many "OMG, Stevie's so awesome, I just love her. My favorite song is Stand Back. What's yours?" posts on the Forum here at the Ledge. The Nicksfix chat, on the other hand...

The Nicksfix chat, on the other hand...Thanks for that. It's not fair for us to be lumped together, though a lot of people do that. I do find some posts in that forum scary at times, but it's not the majority of posters. One of the cool things about the Stevie forum at the Ledge is that we don't have to act like we all think she's a goddess; we can be critical and usually only one or two people get mad.

And I can talk about how I can't stand "I Miss You."

Yep. Peeked in once. Even if they're not all "OMG, Stevie is awesome" people, the ones that are scare me away. And I'm not afraid of much.... :)

She's said both. In one of those interviews she did last year, she said "I'll never play live again". I just don't think she's comfortable on stage anymore. I don't think it's just the traveling/touring that got to her.

I guess I'm crazy, but I think she'd do a one-off if it were this big Fleetwood Mac reunion with EVERYBODY. I don't see her ever doing a concert to promote anything ever again, but something like that is completely different.

And we're always far more kind and complimentary towards her, than her fans typically are towards Stevie.

For whatever that's worth.

Hmm, that's true. We all love and respect christine. sometimes, a few of us don't like a song or two, but we still always love her. And respect her. I've really not heard a disparaging comment. :)

I think we're very defensive of Christine (although I cannot think of anyone less in need of defending)

I don't think Christine has ever been jealous of Stevie but maybe we are jealous of the attention that Stevie gets? This sometimes manifests itself in less than complimentary remarks about the chiffon clad one (oops I did it again)

I very gingerly ventured into the Stevie forum this morning to check out that reunion thread. Interesting thread...it started out as a Stevie thread, then morphed into a Christine thread. I didn't quite have the nerve to post there though. Anyway, thanks for the heads up about the thread, Gail. :)

Thought I would check this board out...and no we aren't all "chiffon heads" Haha

I happen to love Christine and her music a great deal, although no I dont think EVERY song on "in the meantime" was pure gold, I think it was a solid album..

I do find on the Stevie forum that the biggest "weirdos" are usually newbies, and in fact not really wacko just new fans, usually very young with a lot of built up emotions inside lol.. The Stevie chat on the Nicksfix is another story, although I do check in from time to time, because every once in a while the crazies wont be in there and you can chat with some normal folks
