Everything takes forever to be screened over here. And as for the spoilers... well we have newspapers over here posting spoilers all the time. Even the Channel 4 website has some. I must admit I have peaked at quite a few of them and I read the original posts on here about it. Have you seen the whole series already then Tommer?

Ohh, Lost is awesome. My only worry is that like all of J.J. Abrams' shows, it's going to have an awesome season or two and then just peter out.
What episode are you up to, Pip?

Meh, it's okay. I really liked it when it started, but then it just got needlessly convoluted and ludicrous. They lost me in the middle of the season, and by the time the finale rolled around, I was rolling my eyes.
They do have some remarkable actors on it, though.

They blew my mind with the fourth episode, Walkabout, and because of that, I kept watching hoping it could be that good again. It hasn't been, but I won't give up because of my massive Terry O'Quinn love.

Yep... just watched the 3rd episode last night. Do many questions get answered by the end of the season?

I'm am totally addicted to Lost. I think I'm going to get a DVR this year just for lost. I visit the Lost forums on ABC's website a lot and there are SO many clues in all the episodes, things you wouldn't notice if it weren't pointed out to you. Some of the members there dissect every single detail in every single episode, which is a bit much for me, but some of the stuff they point out is interesting. The DVD of the first season is supposed to come out before season 2 starts.
If you go to Channel 4's website, they have a section for Lost that I think has clues on it.
I can't wait for season 2 to start, and unfortunately I think the season premiere is 9/21 and that's the day I leave for RI for a wedding....but that's what the DVR will be for!
Carol
Hey Pip!!! Lost is my favorite show, well besides Alias. I was addicted after the 1st episode. This season you get a LOT of backstory on each character-- it's really great because each character has their "own" episode, some have 2 or 3. You do get some answers, but not the "big" ones. Hopefully those will come early in season 2.
The show is fantastic, but will likely suffer the JJ Abrams curse after 2 or 3 seasons -_-

That's funny because I'm getting a DVR before the fall season starts too! All my shows are on different nights now. Boo.

So is Alias not going to be on Wednesdays? It was before, right? guess I could go look it up on ABC....
My neighbor works for Comcast and has a DVR and raves about it all the time. When we went on vacation, they recorded all our shows for us.

There was a big build up to it over here. I figured it was a 'must watch'!

Thursdays at 8PM... apparently there are a lot of big shows on during that time slot. Ohhhh well. If it must die please let it be somewhat painless.

I've got a question and it's been bugging me big time for a few days now. I was recently converted into a "Lost" fan after watching it on DVD and in the episode "...In Translation" from the first season, there's a scene during one of Jin's flashbacks that puzzles me. He goes to the home of the Secretary of Environmental Safety and the Secretary's daughter is sitting in the living room watching television. Isn't it Hurley on the TV she's watching? I even paused it on the DVD player, zoomed in, and panned to it ten minutes ago and it's him getting into a car. Why? Is it of any significance?
And I'm totally kicking myself for not sticking with it.

But, if you can't wait until you get to that episode....
Hurley's shown on the TV, because he won an extremely large amount of money in a Powerball-type lottery.

Oh, it's okay, we've watched all of the season one episodes and some of the season two episodes already. I'm digging it simply for the scenes between Terry O'Quinn and Matthew Fox-y. The two of them onscreen together is some sort of magic.
I just thought that the thing with Hurley on the TV was more significant, but I probably just read too much into it since it's a JJ Abrams show.

A lot of the characters are interconnected, even though they don't know it... for example [from season 1] Boone is at the police station in Australia (I think picking up Shannon, I don't remember) and Sawyer is being dragged in by cops in the background. JJ is tricksy like that.

That's one thing I noticed about it; the continuity is pretty remarkable. It's so well-done that it's almost dizzying.
I watched the last episode that aired a few weeks back earlier tonight and I officially hate Ana Lucia. She needs to die. Quickly. Michelle Rodriguez hurts my everything. Homegirl emotes as if she's in a dinner theatre production and is trying to make sure her lines are heard over the constant sounds of people chewing masticated cow meat.

And it's safe to say he was fairly hot back in the day. These days? Not so much.
