Christine icons

[DownOnRodeo]

I was enjoying the many great pics posted in the 'Through the Decades' thread, and decided there should be some icons. I'm not much of an icon maker, so I can't provide many, but hopefully we'll be able to get a fair collection. I've asked Lux to consider making some because her icons are always great (and produced en masse). (http://www.livejournal.com/users/looking_glass/)

Here's one I made now as a starter.

(I know she doesn't have brown eyes - I just like the song!)

Hey, Joe. Nice to see you. :)

I agree -- more Chris icons is a wonderful idea. I just checked out Lux's....wow. Very nice indeed.

[ThePenguin]

Wow, those are pretty neat. but what do people do w/ them? I'm really out of touch; i just have no clue.....

Lux how do I view your icons?

[ThePenguin]

Not even I am entirely sure about the actual purpose in them but technically they're for use on people's livejournals, although they show up elsewhere occasionally. I never use them myself but am a slave to the market.

Interesting. I'd like to wallpaper a wall of my home w/ those Ralph Fiennes pics...mmm he's delicious. ;)

Thanks Joe! Love the Brown Eyes one! :)

So, Lux, are you going to do more Christine? I love your Beatles icons, by the way.

[macfan 57]

I love Joe's Brown Eyes icon. I hope we'll get some more. :)

And since I'm a huge Beatles fan, I loved those Beatles Help icons on Lux's site. Very well done.

[GypsySongbird]

that is one stunning icon!

how do you make them? because i would realy like to but have no idea how

[DownOnRodeo]

I think you need to use Photoshop or a similar program for starters. I did once upon a time make my icons in MS Paint .. they sufficed but were pretty dodgy.

As for actually using those programs, for me its just trial and error ;)

[jbrownsjr]

Yes, the intention is to get some of Christine done when I'm a little more conscious. I'd do the other members who are missing from my site but I like to do as little work as possible and the key factor here is the thread with readily available images. I'll probably just depict her in the wrong manner but there is more hope than when the task is shipper icons.

These are my first posts over here incidently.....it's all blue. Indeed.

Lux hang with us more often. We smoke weed and drink lots of red wine. We don't wear chiffon and we go out in jeans.

[GypsySongbird]

hmmm......what exactly is photoshop? does it come already on the computer or is it something you have to buy?

You can download (illegally) versions off of Kazaa. Did I say that? ;)

[ThePenguin]

II made some Christine icons by request and they're up at my site (http://www.livejournal.com/users/looking_glass/) but here's the direct link straight to them: 14 manipulations of Christine (http://www.livejournal.com/users/looking_glass/101739.html#cutid1)
.
