10. Nothing FailsToo funny that we both picked "Nothing Fails" AND placed it at #10.

I originally had "Holiday" on my list, but switched it out for "Deeper And Deeper."

I'm looking at everyone's lists and thinking, "oh, I should have included that song!" and "Dang, I love that one, too!"

Dissy... it's too cool that you love "Dear Jessie" (have you ever seen the video?) and "Keep It Together" (the single remix is the best version of that one).

Jason... "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" rocks. Another one I should have/could have easily included.

This was difficult -- I needed to do a Top 20!

Yes, I love that video! The video for "Bedtime Story" is my favorite, though. That's a great one.

Looking at my list, Erotica must be my favorite Madge album (but I like her nineties stuff better than her eighties stuff). I put it in last night before I went to bed and it's so hot. I burned a copy of it with "Justify My Love" tacked on to it, too. And I actually had that video when I was, like, 12 or 13 and my mother went ape**** when she found it.

Growing up I was a HUGE obsessed Madonna fan, way before I even knew Stevie existed. It's funny my childhood was all about Madonna and adulthood Stevie. I wonder if a lot of Stevie fans have loved Madonna? It's seems like quite a contrast, like you'd really love one or the other. I always say "Madonna has my heart, but Stevie has my soul". Now of course there is no comparison, I'm a Stevie girl all the way and it's hard to imagine I was ever that into Madonna but trust me, I was. It's so weird picking favorites of someone other than Stevie!! Oh this is sad lol. I'm way too tired and hung over to pick 10 so here's my list of favs in no particul order: (ok I picked 10 and put stars by them)

The video for "Bedtime Story" is my favorite, though. That's a great one.I'm not sure if I could pick a favorite Madonna video. That one would be very near to the top of the list though.

Looking at my list, Erotica must be my favorite Madge album (but I like her nineties stuff better than her eighties stuff). I put it in last night before I went to bed and it's so hot. I burned a copy of it with "Justify My Love" tacked on to it, too. And I actually had that video when I was, like, 12 or 13 and my mother went ape**** when she found it.That's a STEAMY video! And Tony Ward is so damn hot. *growls*

Most of her '90s stuff is definitely her best. With 'Like A Prayer' being the pinnacle of her '80s material.

I always hated the song true blue. Like a Prayer happens to be one of my favorite albums evah! I would say Like a Prayer and Music are her 2 best albums. I had front row center seats to The Reinvention tour in Los Angeles last year (Got them the day before the show on TM) and she postponed the show till the next day because she was sick. Unfortunatly I was leaving on a plane to see my family back east that morning so I missed the show! I'm still not over it. Apparantly she's touring and putting out a new album next year so I'll just have to wait but it wont be another greatest hits tour. Call the wambulance!! :( :(

Ray of Light

Such a fab song. The problem is it is so terribly played out (not that most of her songs aren't but this one especially). Not only that it's used in commercials and it's one of those that is still in heavy rotation on those adult-pop stations.

I could listen to that song all day and not get bored. I really love Madonna's ballads. Probably a lot more than the fast 'disposable' pop songs she's more famous for.

I noticed Little Star on a couple of the lists. I've NEVER been able to get into that song. I'd say it would be on my bottom ten.

Classic moment! I saw that clip again recently on some VH-1 show of wacky tv moments or something. Madge was actually very diplomatic about it and handled herself so well. A class act LOLOLOL. She could have been way more bitchy to Courtney than she was. Didn't Courtney trip also? She was so crazy but she can get away with it. I don't hate her for it. What exactly happend? Were they interviewing Madonna and then Courtney just busts in unannounced? I only remember bits of it. What was said?

What exactly happend? Were they interviewing Madonna and then Courtney just busts in unannounced? I only remember bits of it. What was said? That's exactly what happened. Kurt Loder was interviewing Madonna on live TV, and, all of a sudden, stuff starts zipping past them. A little bit of confusion ensued and then it became apparent that Courtney was trying to get attention.

I thought Madonna handled it pretty well, though she was clearly annoyed.

Several years later, they posed together for the cover of Rolling Stone's big "Women Of Rock" issue (alongside Tina Turner).

God, that moment was soooo embarrassing for me to watch. First, because she was obviously jealous of Madonna (barf, lets not be jealous of madonna, k?) and then, of course, all the trashy, trashy, trashy ness. It made it more embarrassing (for courtney) that madonna was so calm. God, I'm cringing just thinking about it.

Love the song... not crazy about the album. Only liked the singles and two other tracks on that one.

So hopefully 'Confessions On A Dancefloor' will not sound like 'Music.'

The song. A dance/disco-like track.

Here's a 14-second clip of "Hung Up."

It's not much to go on, but I'm really liking it... and it's exactly what I was hoping for: a totally infectious, highly danceable track in the classic club-hit vein.

Like the first one, it's only 14-seconds long... but this snippet is from the chorus.

I'm loving it.

HAHA so FINALLY someone mentioned one of my huge all time faves Gambler, her Pat Benatar song lol!!!

I just laughed my ass off a few pages back when someone said "Madonna has already peeked". That has to be STUPIDEST comment I have ever heard about Madonna in my life. Yeah sure shes never gonna have another hit, and will only be able to fill clubs soon. Bitch Please! Every fuucking tour she has ever gone on including last summer has sold the fuuck out everywhere. She is worlds biggest female star/singer/performer of all time!

Now my list: Burning Up, Lucky Star, Borderline, Gambler, Material Girl, Dress You Up, Into The Groove, Open Your Heart, True Blue, WHO's THAT GIRL(one of her best most underatted and forgotten songs), Look Of Love, Express Yourself, Like a Prayer, Promise To Try, Cherrish, Hanky Panky, Fever, Impressive Instant

I've noticed you're pretty fickle. Almost every day, you have a new best friend. That kind of disloyalty is totally foreign to me. :distress:

P.S. - Madonna - I can take or leave it, but mostly I've left it. No.Albums.bought.or.listened.to.ever. *brief affair with "Material Girl" when I was...uh...little*

"Gone, Gone, Gone" and "Freedom" are both old though.

I've never heard them and thought they were both new because they were labeled as being for the new album. :sorry: I hope they aren't on it, because they both stink.

Love "Hung Up," though, it's one of the catchiest things she's ever done.

Yeah, those bottom three are old demos, not new stuff. "Erotica" started off as "You Thrill Me", "Gone Gone Gone" is a Ray of Light demo, and "Freedom" is a Bedtime Stories demo.

There are a few American Life songs I enjoy. Nothing Fails, Nobody Knows Me (esp live), and Die Another Day are all pretty classic Madonna. Love Perfusion is too cheesy...sounds like Debbie Gibson.

To add to Vermicious Knid's post about the origins of the songs, "Freedom" was actually released in 1997, on a various artists compilation titled 'Carnival.'

None of these songs will be on the new album (except "Hung Up," of course!).

Madonna.com is pleased to announce that David LaChapelle will be reuniting with Madonna to direct the Hung Up video! David & Madonna's previous collaborations include a photoshoot for Rolling Stone Magazine in 1998 and the cover of the Video Collection 93:99. Based on their beautiful past creations, we can be sure that the Hung Up video is going to be a work of art!
