 Two of my favorites are Afternoon Delight by Starland Vocal Band, and I Just Want To Be Your Everything by Andy Gibb. But my all time favorite is Keep It Comin Love by K.C And The Sunshine Band. Maybe its because I have a picture of me from 1978 in plaid pants and this weird light blue turtleneck jamming to it. AHHHH the memories of childhood

"Fish Heads" Barnes and Barnes, as well as just about anything else they've ever done.

"Somebody's Watching Me" Rockwell

"Safety Dance" Men Without Hats

"I Hate Everything About You" Ugly Kid Joe

Anything Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie did in the 1980's, both solo and with Fleetwood Mac

"Magnet and Steel" Walter Egan

Anything from The Malibooz's 1981 album "Malibooz Rule!," but most especially "Honeydew (We Cantaloupe)" (Nancy will know what I mean!)

EDIT:
Forgot one!

"I Think I Love You" The Partridge Family

I'm ABSOLUTELY With you on 1-2-3! That's HILARIOUS! I heard that song the other day and was totally laughing at it's loveable cheesiness.

But I can't agree with you on "The Promise". The lyrics in that song are so beautiful. I don't find it cheesy at all. It makes me all weepy.

"I'm sorry, but I'm just thinking of the right words to say.
I know they don't sound the way I planned them to be.
But if you'll wait around awhile, I'll make you fall for me,
I promise you, I promise you I will."

OH MY GOD! SERIOUSLY AMBER!!! I totally have a story for the song Downtown by Petula Clark.

So, I'm at a used record store (a really really good one here) and I'm checking out the singles section and find a Downtown remix album. I pick it up and have an instant heart attack, which I still don't understand to this day, 'cause honestly, I don't really even LIKE that song! So, I run over to my friend Rachel (Red) and she flips out too! Weird. So, I bought it and the two of us flipped out all the way home. Again, neither of us really care about this song, so, it's still totally baffling. We put it in the ol' stereo and give it a listen! TERRIBLE!!! Like awful gay anthem stuff. All ntz-ntz-ntz-ntz. It was awful! Yet, the story is still amusing to me! :D

I think "The Promise" has some good lyrics, too, it's just that I figure most people think it's cheese because it's got that whole over-the-top love ballad with the overly 80s music thing going on. But it's one of my fave 80s songs, probably.

Petula Clark is a gay man's wet dream to begin with, I can only imagine what a remix album of her stuff would be like.
