View Full Version : So when you're going to indulge....

What's the forbidden food you go for?

For the most part, I eat pretty healthy. I run, take care of myself, don't eat a lot of sweets, etc. But I was on vacation last week, and decided to throw out the regime for the duration. What does that mean for me? Ice cream. :D And more specifically, it was that new Caramel Oreo McFlurry at McDonalds. Could there be a more perfect combination of flavours? It was a little piece of ice cream heaven.

So what about you?

I've been big on ice cream lately. Never craved it until about a year or two ago. Now it seems I want some every night. ;)

McD's - I only have it about twice a month now.

I am one of those people...I am more about salt than sweet
That said-
Dorito's Natural Yellow Corn Chips along with hot Espinaca Dip (spinich, cheese, jalepenos, onions, yum), and of course the
Mandatory Jamican Margarita- 2 parts Classico 1800 Cuervo,
1 part Contreau
1/2 part Rose's Lime juice
in a Highball glass filled with tons of ice....
I'm in heaven just thinking about it

Chips. Oh, how I love chips. I have to stop myself with them. I have no self control so sometimes I have to just not buy them. I love Pringles, particularly the chili cheese ones. Also, I love a nice bag of tortilla chips and some medium salsa. Oh, and Fritos Scoops with Zapp's Nacho Cheese dip. Zapp's is one of the wonderful things about the South.

Must stop talking about this! I don't have any chips right now!

Yeah, I never really don't indulge. Well, sometimes. I tend to be, uh, bipolarly dieted. Like, I'll eat healthy all day, then for snacks, I'll have a bag of chips and two candybars. Or something like that. I don't really buy "special" things to indulge in, cause I do it all the time. However, I don't often buy icecream, because I'll just eat it all, right away. My favorite flavor, only one company makes it, and you can only get it at Rite Aid. It's now called Chocolate Malted Crunch, but it used to be called double chocolate malted crunch, when I got hooked on it way back in the day when Thrifties ice cream cones were 15 cents....but I will buy lots of different kinds of ice cream.... :D
When I really indulge, I buy beer and whiskey. That's when I feel most evil....

However, I don't often buy icecream, because I'll just eat it all, right away.

I'm the exact same way. I can't have anything unhealthy and sweet and yummy in my house. I just can't control myself. I could eat ice cream and cookies non-stop til they were gone. If I have a dinner party, I send everybody home with the leftover dessert (well, except the whipped cream! ). It's much easier for me NOT to eat crap at all than to have a little treat once a day. But it's painful.

Best Chinese food EVER! You could eat it every Saturday? I could eat it every day. I order the same thing every time: Kung Pao chicken, extra spicy and an appetizer of the fried potstickers. Mmm, I may go get this for dinner tonight! In fact, I'm pretty sure I will! Thanks for reminding me!

Others things I love to indulge on:
Pepperidge Farm Mint Milano cookies
Ben and Jerry's Dave Matthews Band Magic Brownies ice cream
Pringles
Chipotle steak fajita burrito with hot sauce, cheese, guacamole, rice
Jack in the Box Sourdough Club -- my new favorite fast food sandwich!
Sonic tater tots
Tortilla chips and cheese dip made of Velveeta, HOT Rotel tomatos, and hamburger (if you couldn't tell already, I think I was born with half my taste buds! I love everything on fire with spice...then again everyone in my family is like that, so I guess that's why...grew up on spicy foods)
Reese's Blizzards from Dairy Queen
Shipley's donuts -- still my favorite donut place, and can you believe there are NONE in Dallas? They're all over the place in the Houston area.

That's all I can come up with for now. I'm sure I'll think of more later...off to call in my to-go order at PF Chang's.
