What did you have for breakfast today?

I had:

2 white peaches
1 California plum
2 juice oranges
1 16-oz glass of Very Vanilla Silk brand soy milk

I'm fascinated by people's dietary practices.

I had one bowl of Frosted Mini-Spooners with fat free Lactose Free milk :p

That's what I have every single day. I don't feel complete until I have my mini-spooners.

For those who don't know: Frosted Mini-Spooners is the Malt-O-Meal brand cereal in a bag - the mini-spooners are the rip-off of Frosted Mini-Wheats :p

I'm really not a fan of any peanut butter flavored cereals - or anything for that matter. I'm really picky about peanut butter - the only kind I'll eat is Jif -and even then it's only good for the first week or so after you open it :P

2 cold leftover (since Monday) slices of a large Italian Sausage pizza from Zito's (on the corner of Tustin & Meats...try it David...best pizza in Orange)

1 cup of coffee, laced with cinnamon vanilla Coffee-Mate (actually, vice versa...1 cup of CV Coffee-mate laced with coffee)

4-16oz glasses of water

1-800 mg Ibuprofen tablet
1-60 mg nifedipine pill
1-50 mg metatoprolol pill

then after I donated blood at our annual blood drive:

2 "boxes" of orange juice
2 pkgs of Famous Amos "Oreo-clone" cookies
1 pkg of Famous Amos Vanilla Creme cookies

Now, back in the day when I ate pizza & sodium, I loved Zito's pizza! We used to go to the one in Old Town Orange. But I have since turned my back on pizza, primarily because of the sodium in pizza sauce. Oh, how I do miss pizza, though.

According to docs, people can develop food allergies just spontaneously at any point in life -- they don't necessarily have to be severe. Also, food allergies can disappear as mysteriously as they appear.

I'm waiting for the day my wine/alcohol allergy disappears & I can get back to my whiskey sours & old-fashioneds!!

I'm suprised at how "sugary/carby" most people's breakfasts are. Just saying...
I can't really eat cereal in the morning, it makes me sluggish, or if sugary, downright nappish.

Anyways, no, I'm not a morning person.I love eggs, & eggs & soy milk are probably the only sources of a lot of protein that I care to eat for breakfast. All my other beloved sources of protein (fish, chicken, tofu, beans, more fish) just don't appeal to me for breakfast -- unless it's one of those late-morning brunch buffets at the Hyatt.

So I do tend to go carb-heavy in the morning: huge amounts of fruit as well as an occasional breakfast of whole-wheat pancakes (Kodiak cakes) or Cream of Wheat.

Gross - I'd probably be sick!!!

Anyway - when I've tried protein it's usually eggs. I can't handle meat in the morning - and all the fat ugh - cereal is totally what I enjoy in the morning and it gives me a nice boost into the day - I don't eat a whole box or anything - just the recomended serving - so I don't think that's bad.

I need my morning carbs!!

i, too, would ask what your protein is, but also fiber is very filling, and more slowly digested, too. If those mini spooners are what I think they are, they're pretty fibrous. For protein in the morning, I can easily eat one of those mozerella string cheese thingies. Not to flavory, or gross, but filling and proteinacious none the less....

I have tomatoe issues! I started with just a couple plants, like 5 years ago. Three years ago, I made my aunt teach me how to can tomatoes. I've got about 35 plants this year, and canned 11 quarts Sunday night. NOTHING is better than a hot one, straight out of the sunshine, on a sandwich, with Miracle Whip. (I'm drooling!)

You must have tomatoes coming out your ears. I have about 15 or so plants.
I haven't started canning yet, but I need to. My sister in law does it for me.... I'm starting to feel like a mooch though. :o I always tell her how delicious her salsa is and she just keeps bringing jars and jars of it over   When she cans tomatoes she puts a jalapeno pepper in with them, it makes the best macaroni and tomatoes!

That's so funny. Cuz, for the most part, I can salsa. Maybe 20 jars of salsa, and 12 jars of just tomatoes. I put in jalepenos, banana peppers, onion, cilantro, garlic powder, and a little sugar.
Canning them is not that bad. One canner full takes me about 3 hours(including the cooking time). The hardest part is blanching them (removing the skins), that's the pain in the ass!!! So I just do them on a night I have nothing going on. :distress:

Today I had...Raisin Bran. Again. :)

Hubby usually cooks breakfast on weekends, so then it's bacon, eggs & toast or omelets.

A couple of days a week, I'll have McCann's Irish Oatmeal and some organic turkey, with my organic coffee, with organic half and half, no sugar.
Some days, I just want something sweet, so I'll have a little pastry.
I also love a little leftover pizza. Sometimes it's Moe's bacon, egg and cheese onion bagel. Yum. :) And when I don't want to get out of the car, it's Mickey D's.

I love how your post starts out all healthy & goes downhill from there! :D I LOVE McD's breakfast sandwiches - had one the other day for the first time in months.

this morning is what I have the majority of mornings during the week, hot tea & a Thomas English Muffin. Has to be Tetley (tea) & it has to be Thomas. No substitutes will do. I get teased by my family about this all the time.

Okay, I'm actually eating something now. A cup of coffee and home made granola I made yesterday. So good! The last time I made it, I kinda screwed it up a bit, but this batch it TITS!
