New Moderators???

[Lisa1769]

I just noticed we have a couple of new moderators, SuzeQuze & gldstwmn.
Is this a new happening or am I just slow? And, are there more??

Congrats Girls!! :)

Thanks. Yes it is new and I don't know the entire scoop but I'm sure that we will all be informed soon. I was asked to be a moderator which I found very flattering. I think its the first time I've been "nominated" for anything. :)

[amber]

Moderator of what?

You make a good nominee!

[GateandGarden]

I was wondering if I was the only one who noticed so I'm glad someone started a thread! I was starting to think that everyone else knew what was going on already and I was in the dark, as that is the case all too often.

But on to more the important thing--congratulating Suze and Goldie! Congrats, y'all! :)

How'd you guys notice?

[amber]

Of the boards, silly... ;)
which categories. All of them?

[GateandGarden]

How'd you guys notice?I noticed that their names are in bold on their posts and also at the bottom of the screen where all the people who are online are listed. Also, in their posts, it says "moderator" under their usernames. Those were clues. :o

I don't know what forums they're moderating, specifically, though.

Aw thanks. I'm at my parents' visiting for a couple weeks and their computer doesn't seem to like chat too much.

I AM curious about the new moderators, though, and I did get a little pissy after looking through all these pages and finding zippo-nada to satisfy that curiosity!

I think Lionel Ritchie's clay head does, though.

Congrats girls!

[chiliD]

Congrats!

But, one question...did a couple of the moderators resign or did we just ADD moderators?

[GateandGarden]

But, one question...did a couple of the moderators resign or did we just ADD moderators? :shrug:Well, Janet is no longer a moderator, I believe. That's the only other change I know of.

[SuzeQuze]

Congrats!

But, one question...did a couple of the moderators resign or did we just ADD moderators?

These moderators have resigned; Barbara, Les, Vianna, Julie, and Lauren. I am not sure if Janet has definitely resigned. Sugar and Patti are also new moderators.

I didn't realize all of that. Thanks for the info. With Janet, I was just going by the fact that it doesn't say "moderator" under her name any longer.

What? No men? Gender bias!!@#!@#

Seriously, Congrats Ladies. :xoxo:

[Patti]

I'll chime in...I'm the new moderator of the Lindsey board. I don't think anyone else's "assignments" have been fully decided upon yet.

Congrats to all the new moderators! I look forward to working with you. And thanks to all the outgoing moderators for all your hard work over the years.

[DrummerDeanna]

Hey - congrats guys!! Good luck!

[David]

I hope the old moderators continue to read & post. If Les & Barb & the others just took off without a backward glance, it would be a sorrier ledge for it.

Congrats, Patti. You'll make an awesome mod.

Why all the sudden the change, or the resignations???

[Tango]

Congratulations to the new moderators, and a big thank you to the outgoing moderators, who have all been Ledgie contributors in many ways for many years. It's looking to be a dry season for a while, with little activity from the band or solo artists. Hopefully there won't be too much to moderate. My best to all of you.

I'm sorry, I just kinda rushed into that question. Congrats to our new moderators! I have no doubt the right people have been asked.

[sodascouts]

Wow, big changes! Congrats to the new moderators and thanks to the outgoing ones. I hope nothing said earlier left a bad taste in their mouths. I respect them all.

P.S. Nice meeting you in Phoenix, Patti, even if only for a couple minutes!

[Johnny Stew]

What? No men? Gender bias!!@#!@#

Well, I'm still here. Am I strong enough to be your moderator-man? ;)

A BIG welcome to the new moderators, and hugs to my former colleagues... "it's been a long strange trip," but I'm glad we experienced it together. :xoxo:

[Johnny Stew]

Why all the sudden the change, or the resignations??? :confused:We had been discussing bringing some new moderators on board for a while now, and whether they'd be in addition to the previous lineup or if some of us wanted to step down.

Since we've been mods for five years now, a few of us decided on the latter option.

Janet and Mario, as well as myself (much to the disappointment of many, I'm sure), will be staying on for now.

And thanks for all the well wishes everyone!

Johnny Stew, everyone adores you -so thank you for staying. I think I speak for everyone when I say you just have a way of keeping the balance! You rock!
( not a kiss up, I swear  )

[catinthedark]

Hello! Sorry I'm late.

Of course, thanks to Barbara, Les, Vianna, Julie, and Lauren for all that they've put up with over the years.

I'm late off the mark here, too - but my thanks, as well. I know it must be a time-consuming (and at times, incredibly frustrating gig!).

Good luck to the new team! And to the current mods staying on. Your dedication is much appreciated.

[Les]

I hope the old moderators continue to read & post. If Les & Barb & the others just took off without a backward glance, it would be a sorrier ledge for it.

:xoxo: Thanks Dobe and Tango and everyone else. Life's a lot different than five years ago (or even one year ago), so it was just time to step away from this position, but I don't expect I can ever fully leave the Ledge.

The new gals are going to be great!
