Howdy,
We need to know who wants to meet up in Vegas, How many, and what type/price of restaurant everyone is interested in for dinner. I was thinking those that those that are interested can meet for dinner, and those who wish to meet after the concert - we can meet at Margaritaville. Please let us know so we can get reservations in...etc.

If you wish you can PM me or Liquidblue5000.

Doesn't matter. Price is no biggie for me. BUT...the cheaper the better, as long as it is a nice place.

...and I'm stalking Stevie after the show...so...that's that on that subject.

I would love a good italian place, but anything that is good is cool... Jim, like i said in my PM, i'm leaving the restaurant details up to you.. it's your city, you would know much more than I would about where to eat

Will put up a few options, then everyone can decide. Have to check out a few things first before I post.

YES! The Ruby Reds are delicious. I had something else there, I cannot quite recall the name but it had seven up, cranberry juice, rum, and something else red. It was really good. I am so jealous and bummed I am not going back. None of my close Mac buddies were making the trip originally so I never really gave it much thought. Now I see how many of you guys are going, I am majorly depressed I didn't just do it. I did get to see the Vegas show several times back in May, and I know nothing will be different so that is my consolation. I saw her with Don twice and alone this tour so AHI won't be that tough to miss. I heard it is the last one so that is the only reason I would have wanted to make that show. Stevie's last AHI benefit. I wonder if next summer, when the Mac tours again, she might decide to just add on another one when FM plays Phoenix. I did hear that this was her last benefit for AHI though, so who knows.
Anyway... I hope all you guys have a great time. Take lots of photos and give us a full recap as soon as you can. Hopefully someone will have a laptop with them or their hotel room will have one of those crappy webtv things so we can hear about her last gig.

BTW..for those who mentioned waiting around for autographs...Sharon Celani and Lori Nicks were very generous with their time last May when they played Vegas. Unless you are lucky enough to have a meet and greet, the chances of seeing Stevie out and about are sadly, pretty slim. (she did gamble in that private room Saturday night but fans could not go in, of course) I was amazed at how sweet and generous both Lori and Sharon were with fans. I know alot of the backing band was walking around the casino and various bars and restaurants in Caesar's after the shows, too. Good Luck in getting autographs.

Why don't these Ledgies ever meet in, say, Monterey? Why Las Vegas? In August?!

I vote we go to Chinois, which is at The Forum Shops at Caesars. They have incredibly good asian fusion cuisine. Wait, I think they close at 10pm though.

Still in complete denial that I'm not going to Vegas.

Skcin, I just saw you're from Buffalo! We have two things in common - our hometown and our denial over not going to Vegas. Why does air fare out of Buffalo have to be so high? Why?! http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a180/guy_smiley705/Favorites/Faves2/weeping.gif

Actually, Southwest offers a direct flight to Vegas from Buffalo. If you book far enough ahead, you can get it for less than $250 roundtrip (I got it for $198 once!)

Still couldn't pull it off this time, though. I was there in May for 2 shows, so I can't be too upset or greedy.

OK, maybe I can.

Well, I DID have a little gathering in Hermosa Beach a while back, (ok, just Steve and I) you were invited but had some sort of excuse that I don't even remember.

You got a fare for that cheap? Wow...we've flown Southwest quite a few times to Vegas and California, and maybe the best we got was $300-350 or so roundtrip. Most of the time this has been with plenty of notice.

We could still go if we wanted, since my husband could get free tickets with his AA miles, but I'd rather see the miles saved for a longer trip instead of just one or two nights.

Anyway, I saw her once in May and in Cleveland and Washington, so I shouldn't be greedy either, but I still am.

We must live fairly close to one another (5 hrs). :wavey: I saw her in Cleveland and Pitt this year. I missed Nisson cuz I had to work.

I think Cleveland was one of her best shows this year from the boots and reviews I've heard.

I twisted my ankle going down the isles two days in a row. One time I was sprinting. So, it has those really small steps downward towards the stage, ie, it tricks you into thinking it's a ramp, when really it contains ankle turning tiny evil stairs. It still hurts, actually. :)
Was that good advice? I guess if you look down you'll be fine.
If you want to get a bottle of bud light before you go in, it will be seven dollars. Non crappy drinks are even more, I would imagine.
Almost all the seats are good. You have excellent seats anyways, though, so it should be fine. The security might be strict, really only letting the first few rows up. If you feel you might be left back from the edge rush, you'd better formulate a plan.
