Mae: What if at a key moment in the game my, my uniform bursts open and, uh, oops., my bosoms come flying out? That, that might draw a crowd, right?

Doris: You think there are men in this country who ain't seen your bosoms?

 I <3 that movie sooo much.

Interpol - Antics

I've been listening to this a ton over the past month. I think I could also stick it in the thread about "Albums with no bad songs" or whatever it is called.

I have something called "Shaker Loops" by a guy named John Adams (no, not the president) in my CD player in the car.

So you bought a Venice CD? How is it?

I called and asked a local DJ to play the live version of The Chain during the lunch hour. He said he had it, but he could only play "X" amount of 70s tunes during an hour. I was like, well technically it's from 1997. Then he tried to get into a semantic argument about whether or not it's a 70s song, or merely because it's a live version does that make it a "90s" song. I told him it sucked that he couldnt play it, and the management there must be douchebags. He chuckled and told me to take it easy.

I've got this new artist (to me anyway..)
Madeline Peyroux (CD is Careless Love)

I am realy liking her- blues/jazz/sounds like a Billie Holidy/Nancy Wilson/(not the HEART, Nancy Wilson, sounds like you are back in the 40's or a different time period, lonesome love songs, steamy ballads...I like to listen to different kinds of music- Check her out and let me know what you guys think...

I can SO see myself sitting in a cafe in Paris drinking wine and listening to this enchanting woman-Instead however it is out in my car in my driveway, here in the woods of New Hampshire....

But heyy, I can dream~~right?

Ugh! One of my perpetually lovesick roommates burned a cd with about 50 different remixes of that song and he plays it 24/7. He has copies in his car, at work and in the stereo in the living room.

I used to really like it, and thought it was the best song on the new album. However that was before I was forced to hear it 17 times a day...

EDIT: Gwen Stefani's 'Serious' was playing when I got out of the car last.

First I need a car, then I can answer!

But in my ears as I take the bus to work AGAIN....my mp3 player with random Stevie songs, Heart and Led Zep. As well as "The Pina Colada" song...god knows why!

Air America.

I'm doing an Air America fast. I cannot take it. Bad liberal, bad! Okay, not so much since I did listen to Morning Sedition this AM. But I couldn't listen over the weekend because last week Randi was going on and on and on and on about the president flipping off the press which he did not do. I understood then what strand meant when he called her "harpy". Sorry Diss, but your wife was blinded by her clear liberal bias right there. I submit it looks, at first glance, like the middle finger but when the video is replayed you can clearly see it is the thumb. I still love you Randi, but TAKE A PILL!!

So in my car I listened to WBOS Boston which plays only really good songs but from all eras. Its a great station. Further north I rocked out to GIR FM, and "the original block party weekend". Notably just before I arrived at my NH destination I heard a Van Halen rock block. Earlier there was an AC/DC one. Both are excellent driving rock bands except the temptation to speed is irresistable. Luckily I did not get pulled over!

I don't have a CD player in my car since I lost the cartridge to my changer. I really keep meaning to see if I can get a replacement and never remember to! I don't know where that could have gone, of course it went missing with 6 CDs in it.

I have no idea what it is, but it makes me grin! Besides, who doesnt love a pina colada?!

Glad its not just me tho.

nothing, Havent been driving lately due to illness. Deb has a tendency to sleep when I drive and if I black out from a seisure while she's asleep I guess we'll see if the car will drive itself....So she has been driving 90% of the time now.

I know Deb has been listening to Keith Urban's "Golden Road" & "Be Here" on her trips to/from work.
