Just got home and I sadly have to get up very early for a job thing.
I know everyone says this, but believe when I tell you the absolute best Stand Back, Has Anyone Ever... and Fall From Grace of the entire tour occurred tonight. Stand Back was the best it has been since... well it is the best it has ever been. I really hope that if only one (socal) concert is booted that it is this one.
The Audience: Mick was sitting in section 2, row CC (or DD) seat 7. His little girls were with him. Joe Walsh was somewhere over in section 7. I sat next to Carlos Rios's next door neighbors (I know, not famous but had to work it in).
HAEWAFY went out to Joe. Stevie may have indicated Bonnie Raitt was in the audience but it may have been speaking to a hypothetical Bonnie. Landslide was dedicated to her friends' children.
Vanessa forgot the second verse to Thousand Miles which was great. She is extraordinarily charismatic.
Stevie did the end of Rock and Roll Accapella (just like five seconds worth).
I met up with Davidmn and EnchantedSLN. IT was awesome to see you two!More in the morning.

Sparky & I went to Universal tonight--Had backstage passes & 13th row seats! Stevie rocked! Excellent show!
We saw Mick Fleetwood, Joe Walsh, David Spade, Edgar Winter, Chris Nicks, Brad Jeffries, and Karen w/ one of Stevie's Dogs!
Rock and Roll was AWESOME! Stevie should wear her pants all the time & show off her skinny legs!!!!
Killer show!

Like I've lived in LA for a while so I never randomly talk to celebs. Every time I go to some concert David Spade is always there lol. Go Go's, Pat Benatar, Stevie, so tonight I finally said "hey whats up, we go to all the same shows man...."
That main guy from Night At The Roxbury, not Will Farrel the other one was sitting right near us. He spilt beer all over my friends shoe haha.
If I had a dollar for every time I lied or argued with a security guard at a Stevie/Fmac show I would be RICH!!!!!! Tonight was no exception. Once again(bragging) I did it. I was front row center for Edge Of 17. Stevie took both of my hands. They are just as soft as they have always been. I said to her: "Thanks for doing Sara again last year". However I dont think she was able to hear me.
Overall great show! I loved how Stevie enters and exits between the 2 drummers on this tour. Stevie spinning in time with the Stand Back video made my pants wet. Seeing BATB in person just blew me away. The movie playing in the background put a tear in my eye. Esp when she made reference to Mick knowing that he was there.
Thank you to the people who never showed up for your 4th row seats! I enjoyed chilling in them.
And thank you Stevie for singing Sorcerer and Circle Dance, it gave me a chance to go take a piss, get cruised at the urinals and grab another drink!

Mick was at more than one show too. Joe was in the audience. Doesn't sound all that personal to me. (I do wish he would get back with his wife though, for the kids sake)

Who is separated from their wife? Joe or Mick? Or both?

Joe.
Anyway, thanks for the reviews. I was wondering if anyone was going to see any celebrities show up. I went to some SYW shows in LA and never saw anyone special.

That main guy from Night At The Roxbury, not Will Farrel the other one was sitting right near us.Will Farrell hates Stevie Nicks. You'll never catch him at her show.
I was front row center for Edge Of 17. Stevie took both of my hands. They are just as soft as they have always been.Stevie Nicks is the only rock star in the world who gets mileage among her fans out of her Palmolive hands.
I said to her: "Thanks for doing Sara again last year". However I dont think she was able to hear me.Gee, ya think? Why do her fans hold conversations with her during the middle of a song . . . & a loud song at that?

Joe has split from his wife? How many kiddies do they have? Tell me more!
And personally speaking? I would just like to know that Stevie is happy personally and that she is loved, I don't care if that's with Mick, Joe, or Lindsey, or some new guy.
But boy, oh boy, would I really want to know why Joe Walsh has been popping up at her shows on this tour). Hmmm. . .
Old story here: I'll never forget going to a show on the Wild Heart Tour and looking down (I was a poor student at the time and was so high up in the venue it wasn't funny) and during Joe's set seeing Miss Stevie standing at the soundboard dancing away to Joe's music with a girlfriend or two beside her. I guess she waited until the lights went down and Joe's set started before she made her way to the soundboard perch so she could go unnoticed. I had a pair of binoculars (again--poor student with bad seats) and I spent most of Joe's set focused on Stevie at the soundboard because I was trying to figure out what the hell she was doing there. Anyway, later on, I found out that the two of them had this very intense, passionate affair (at least to hear her tell it). Then it all made perfect sense to me.

Really? I'd call it tacky.
And it would be a good argument against the people who were touting her morals yesterday.

Well, that assumes a whole lot  For all we know and if they are together, LB could have left his wife for other reasons and come a running to La Nicks with a broken heart and she took him in after LB and K were over, if they are indeed over, which is a huge speculation

Tacky ? I'd call it so many things above and beyond tacky. After I puked, that is. I don't find broken marriages and young kids with split up parents all that romantic, myself.

My computer was acting up again last night, so I couldn't couldn't post when Clayre did. Let me tell you, this laptop narrowly avoided being tossed into the air above my driveway, having the remaining broken parts pulverized with my baby sledge, and then being unceremoniously swept up and tossed into the garbage can. The joy that would have given me. Anyway....
Last night kicked ass. I believe together Clayre and I have seen well over 50 Stevie performances and we agreed it was one of the best ever. And Clayre was lucky enough to see homegirl spin right off the stage on RAL MORE THAN ONCE. I don't know if that is better, but certainly added some drama to the proceedings of those long ago shows...
First off, I am surprised no one has mentioned how much the projections have improved since Vegas. The content, the editing, and the timing are really well done. Way beyond where they were initially. Rhiannon in particular was a standout. As was the hippie, mandala hoo ha in Rock and Roll. I don't know who came in and rejiggered that, but they get a big ole gold star from Sparky.
I must say, there is no other way to go to Universal than artist parking, entrance and backstage. It's just so damned convenient. The only way to fly.
We saw a smattering of people backstage, like Clayre reported. Mick, Joe, Glen Parrish, Chris, a man we swore was Brad Jeffries, one of the Winter brothers, though I couldn't tell them apart on a bet, the WB executive who was in Destiny Rules, Carlos, "Hairdo" Paxton....We saw Karen packing around a dog.
I thought about going and petting the dog, as if Karen needs one more person molesting that thing and scamming her. I thought better of it. We did see that silly runt David Spade too. I think he is funny, generally, but he is a tiny little thing with a dumpy countenance and a big lumpy looking butt. The backstage area was PACKED post show, but we bailed pretty quickly. I mean, how much free Coors Light can you drink ? And I was frightened of the heap of tortilla chips. I know men don't wash their hands after peeing. Too much for me to deal with there. That's for sure. But the best thing about backstage is this : Clean bathrooms and no lines. It's the little things that count. Other than that, like I said to Clayre, if you've been to one Hollywood party, you've pretty much been to all of them. Her assessment of the scene was a hoot : "Fuddy duddy men, and hard lookin' women."
Highlights for me.....She sang the **** out of Sorcerer. I don't like this song live much, but she really put a lot into it. She sold it last night. Same with FFG. Though I always like it live, she really worked it. Crowd be damned. I don't think many people knew the song.
GDW will always work for me live, but I really love what Waddy is doing on it this time around. It sends shivers up my spine and may be my favorite rendition in ages. I like it better solo than with FM.
HAEWAFY was not a song I was looking forward to. But I was unable to tear myself away, in spite of my complaining bladder. The projections on this were particularly sweet. Her vocal was very commanding, and masterful. She knows how to nail this puppy, and I am very glad it is no longer the show closer. It is placed very well in the show.
I missed Circle Dance as I HAD to attend to the men's room. Also missed the first 30 seconds of FFG, but gave a smoke to a very interesting contact backstage so it was worth it.
The Universal people let no one in the pit for Edge. A big surprise, but whatever. How many damned times does anyone have to press Stevie's hands anyway ? I have had my fair share. Would have liked the closer view, but ditto the last statement.
Rock and Roll was way better than I expected. It is just something one has to see. She did this funny Elvis thing with her legs that I have NEVER seen her do. Adorable and totally cool. Everyone is right about the pants. Her legs are very thin, up past the knee. I am shocked she doesn't show them off more. Those damned layers of skirts. She may have a lot of junk in the trunk under there, but her legs are smokin. Plus she had on some nice boots.
BATB may not have been as good as Vegas, but it was still majestic and filled with drama. Even if someone doesn't like Stevie, seeing this will shut them right the f*ck up. It is chilling and powerful.
Another thing about this set - the pacing is by far the best of any Stevie tour I have seen. There really isn't a dull moment. I could live without Landslide and Rhainnon, but they kind of have to be there. It is surprising to see and say, but 30 years later, this is the best and most together Stevie has been in concert. She has it down, and thank GOD has mixed it up enough to wow as harsh a critic as myself. It was truly a great show. Of course I could bitch about a few things...but y'all have heard me bitch about all that stuff before.
This show kicked ass. Mine in particular. I am even thinking of going to Vegas just for the hell of it.

Tiffany the ex singer, or Tiffany Enchanted SLN? Did you see anyone/anything backstage? Could I be more jealous?
The singer Tiffany. I was never a big fan but let me tell you - this girl is gorgeous up close and incredibly sweet! She was telling me she has a 12-year old son and how much she adores being a mom. Her husband was there too and he is quite adorable. Let me just say it was fun times backstage in LA...(no Stevie though of course, you need a lamenant for that). Quite a memorable evening, open bar and all lol!
I totally lucked out on seats. I got a bargain from a broker on my 4th row pit and I was so shocked that they let NO ONE stand in front of the stage, not even the 1st row. Well lucky for me 2 people didn't show up to their first row seats and I snuck up so I ended up with first row, practically center. I was up and dancing most of the show and a couple of times I got too close to the stage and security told me to back up. Blah! I got both hands during the Edge walk and said to her "Take me home! Take me home!" and got no response but I noticed she didn't really say anything to anyone last night. No thank you, nothing (but that was only what I could see) and she usually does. She did however blow me a kiss with that cute little fish lips look.
Someone mentioned this but during Rock and Roll she did this Elvis dance with her legs. I wish I had video! OMG has anyone seen this? You guys it was the most adorable thing I've ever seen. I was dying. I also like her new little hand motion when she says "read between my lines" during stand back. She writes on the palm of her hand. Thank God she did my shadow outline movement during GDW b/c she hasn't been doing that or the black widow hands lately.
I actually think the highlight of the show for me was Stand Back. It was the best Stand Back I've ever seen live. Oh one more cute thing when she introduced Waddy she literally jumped up and down like a little girl. If I wasn't going on vacation I would be flying up north this weekend to see her in Concord.

I don't care who is with who but I know what you are saying. Has Lindsey even been spotted anywhere? Joe Walsh seems to be around quite a bit. If any marriage was that bad I would think that it would be wise to get out of it.
Joe was just getting over a divorce when Stevie hooked up with him in 1983. Come to think of it wasn't Stevie still married to Kim Anderson at the time?

Of course you can stay with me! We could have totally hung out if I was going to Concord. Oh well next time for sure :). Ok people this is wrong that I'm bumming over not being able to see Stevie next weekend because I'll be on a vacation at a beautiful resort in Cancun. Poor me lol.
Lindsay, I know what you mean. You're going to Cancun, poor you. I cannot go to Vegas becuase I am going to California for a week the day after Vegas. I've been complaining to my parents forever now and they're like "You're going to California without us, what more could you want?" I would rather see Stevie, that's what I want! :distress:

The Audience: Mick was sitting in section 2, row CC (or DD) seat 7. His little girls were with him. Joe Walsh was somewhere over in section 7. I sat next to Carlos Rios's next door neighbors (I know, not famous but had to work it in).
HAEWAFY went out to Joe. Stevie may have indicated Bonnie Raitt was in the audience but it may have been speaking to a hypothetical Bonnie. Landslide was dedicated to her friends' children.
Michael
I didn't even know Stevie still spoke to Joe Walsh. That was a weird couple if there ever was one. I blame it on Special K. lol

HAEWAFY went out to Joe.
Holy cow. Heavy. I can't believe I missed that! I always wonder just how much they see each other and what that's like for them. "When I see you again, as I always do....."

Really? I'd call it tacky.
And it would be a good argument against the people who were touting her morals yesterday.
I was actually being sarcastic when I added the how romantic. I am not a shipper at all. She posted " I wish that Joe would get back with his wife for the kids sake" So it is ok for Lindsey to leave his wife but not Joe?

I don't care who is with who but I know what you are saying. Has Lindsey even been spotted anywhere? Joe Walsh seems to be around quite a bit. If any marriage was that bad I would think that it would be wise to get out of it.
Joe was just getting over a divorce when Stevie hooked up with him in 1983. Come to think of it wasn't Stevie still married to Kim Anderson at the time?
I am not one of those people that think all the "drama" on the stage is real. Stevie and Lindsey do it at every show. The Dance show did seem more "real" to me then the SYW shows. If they are back together wow if they aren't who gives a crap :xoxo: I am 29 now and I dated my first love when I was 15 for 3 years. I have NO feelings whatsoever for him now and never would again. People do move on and have other relationships and get over past loves. However, I wouldn't blame Stevie for feeling some attraction to Lindsey. He is so damn hot. If they are together now I hope there were some other reasons for Lindsey and Kristens seperation. Wouldn't want Stevie to be a marriage destroyer.

Thank you for a great review.

If you can call it that.
