Oh, and I was on a little hiatus when you returned from your month hiatus so I didn't get to say welcome back, Mariel. So I'm saying it now. :wavey:

I'm just decorating/getting the new apartment in order! I just hung three Stevie posters in my little music themed den area :D
I've got a wicked headache though so the only think I'm drinking is a big glass of water.

where'd you run off to? i'm still compiling pics and stories from my 'trip' - one day i'll post.
I'm having a Long Island Iced Tea & my husband is having a beer & we are all eating popcorn including our toy poodle. (He loves popcorn.) We're just watching the news. How exciting is that?

I would make popcorn - but my dog loves it too - sadly it makes her throw up  Poor thing - she has such a sensitive stomach.
OK - I've broken down and taken Ibuprofen, I was trying to avoid it - but my head is pounding now.

Hope you feel better soon, Deanna...
This is my detox night  I'm on vacation (except yesterday when I got called in), and realized I have been sitting on patios drinking every night since last Thursday (including last night after work). Oops. In moderation, of course. But I figured I needed a night in. Doing laundry. Watching season 3 of Six Feet Undah. Thinking far too much about that certain boy/crush. :o

Normally I'd be right there with ya. But due to my stop smoking acupuncture appt. this morning, I can't drink either - because it makes me smoke. So I just finished a nap. I'll probably do more nap like bed things this evening.

I am drinking white wine. Listening to the Irvine 82 torrent. It's really awesome sounding! Was just talking to Brian Liquid but he left me.

Tom was spending around 100 dollars a week on cigs. Crazy. He tried the patch, smoke away, nicotine gum, etc. Nothing worked though. So he is trying to just stop completely but it's hard.
How much money does the doctor cost? What are the needle patch thingies in your ears?
This week you will have new DVD's to watch!

I had five beers swimming with my cousin today. I'm drinking water now(tired from the swimming and drinking), so I can go out for a few :woohoo: , then I'll come home and finish up with a couple glasses of wine. I don't normally drink during the daytime, btw.

$100?! How can someone even smoke that much? what is that, 4 packs a day? Whew...Good luck to him, very much. That's a lot of money, poor guy. The acupuncturist charges $95 for the first visit where they do body and ears (although mine gave me a discount, it was $75). And then people go for follow ups once, twice, or three times a week. Some people get full body, then ($65) and some people just get ears ($25). The portable ear/needle patches are to help you, if you get a craving, squeeze the patches a little so you feel the prick, and it helps calm the craving.
New DVD's? I don't get it.

omg! no he doesn't smoke 4 packs a day. i couldn't imagine anybody doing that. he was up to two packs a day for a while. i think cigs in NY are 5.25. something like that so that is like 75.00 a week. still a lot of money to spend on cigs. i am different i can have a cig here and there and not get addicted.
but i don't do that too often.

I just got back from playing sand volleyball for a couple hours, and now I'm just sittin' here drinking lemonade and thinking about the mechanic who asked me out today after he fixed my car (and it passed its emissions test, woohoo!). :woohoo:

Just got home from from seeing a local punk/new wave band called Black Tie Revue. My head is killing me from dancing so much, but it was a great show. I enjoyed it a lot.
I'm also sitting here thinking about how I'm gonna find another job (getting fired is fun! -_-) I need a drink. I'm not even kidding, either. I'm bad. -_-

It seems I am one of the few who had to work tonight. I worked from 5-3 AM. So NOW, at 4:15 AM I am having a drink to help me sleep.
AMber, I smoke when I drink too. It's one of my few pleasures in life. A drink and smoke. It's horrible but it's the best feeling...like cats purring by your ear or a nice massage or something, just a great AHHHHH feeling LOL.
BUT good luck:) Quit!

Those are four or five things that don't tempt me.
I'm not much of a drinker, I don't enjoy smoking, I'm not one for massages, and I'm a dog person.
But quitting might be nice. :D :wavey:
