I think this info might have been posted before but the threads are old and long so I am posting this info again. Here is the link.

This concert premieres on PBS September 8, 2005 (check local listings)
Hailing from one of America’s most renowned and successful bands, Fleetwood Mac, Lindsey Buckingham embarked on a productive and storied solo career that continues to evolve 18 years after his departure from the band. Reuniting in 2003 with Fleetwood Mac, Buckingham and his former cohorts released Say You Will and embarked on a worldwide tour. With this Soundstage appearance, Buckingham’s performance spans the various eras of his career. Whether performing Rumours hits “Red Rover” and “Peacekeeper” from Say You Will, or 1981’s Law and Order single “Trouble” and the title song from Go Insane, Buckingham seamlessly ties the decades together with reverent detail.
As an added bonus, the alluring Stevie Nicks joins Buckingham during the set, providing an intimate view of the chemistry that once propelled their former band to the top of the charts. Though their once tumultuous relationship was a topic that reached near-epic proportions, this reunion eclipses the controversy, placing all emotion back into the songs that defined them.
This is what my public station told me too. (South Florida)

Kind of falls in line with the October release of the show on dvd... Seemed a little odd that if they air it in July, why wait 3 months before selling it. You wanna make it available right away.. So it makes sense... Just hope they stick with it.

Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind
Steal Your Heart Away
Big Love (1X)
Go Insane
Trouble
Peacekeeper (2.5X)
Red Rover
Never Going Back Again*
Say Goodbye*
Murrow
Go Your Own Way
I Am Waiting
Down on Rodeo
Bleed to Love Her
Save Me a Place
Stevie was on NGBA and Say Goodbye. He played all of the songs twice for us except Big Love (one time) and Peacekeeper (two and a half times- hilarious technical glitch).
Bleed to Love Her and Save Me a Place were requests at the end that he did for fun.
Best part- I screamed "Frozen Love" at S&L in a silent moment, and Stevie sang the first two lines of the song a capella, then said that those were the only lyrics she could remember.... Lindsey then made a comment about how beautiful/great the two-part harmony on that song was.

Not to burst your bubble but I believe that WTTW in Chicago gets to be the first station to air it since they do produce it. I don't think that it will air on any other station before Sept 8th but I could be wrong. That is if the show EVER airs.

This is the first time it's shown an updated schedule on the NJN website so hopefully *cross fingers* it's accurate. If not, then the wait is on.

It is listed on the NJN schedule for August 1st. The schedue was just updated so I hope it is accurate for Pete's sake. With that said, I am still not convinced this will even air anywhere. Like Chris said above, I will believe it when I see it.
BTW...the fact he is releasing it (if it indeed, does air)
does not bode well for a new album. If he had any intention of releasing a solo album, certainly he would have exercised his right of refusal and held it back until he had a new album to promote. I have heard from a business friend of mine that Fleetwood Mac is working out their plans to tour next summer.....they are down to the nitty gritty little details so it looks like a pretty sure thing. (other people, Taku included, have said this as well recently)
(not a studio album, a farewell tour only)
With that in mind, it looks like the dream of a new Lindsey solo album is just that, a dream. :> (

Farewell? Well that's just f*cking great. I guess I was right to assume that the Say You Will tour might be my last opportunity to see them.
If it is indeed a farewell, I'll bet I won't be able to afford a ticket. (Not that I could really afford them last time, but ya know.)

Thanks for the screenshot! Can't wait till it airs here!!
Also, WHY are they planning a tour for next summer when they just had a huge, gigantic tour in 2003-2004 and Stevie's now touring most of this year? That's insane! They need to rest, MAKE ANOTHER ALBUM and then tour. Makes zero sense to me. Farewell, my a$$.

I posted several weeks back that I had e-mailed PBS, and they gave me August 4th as the date Lindsey's Soundstage would air. Since it's now listed as September 8th on Soundstage's site, I assumed they'd push it back until at least then. I e-mailed them again inquiring about a new date, and this is the response I received:
It’s not scheduled on the information I have received through September.

Oh Johnny, of course it will be HER fault. It's always her fault. If he doesn't release a solo album, which he isn't going to, it will be because STEVIE forced him to tour again with Fleetwood Mac. If he allows his SS to be aired and released to dvd and both songs that Stevie sang on are used, it will be HER fault, even though he probably edited the thing. (who wants to bet that with him editing we have many, many close ups of her face?)
Lindsey actually wanted Stevie to sing with him at Soundstage...he ASKED her to.
Why did he have to haul out Stevie?

Gosh! The idea that there actually are people who don't want to see Stevie... there must be something seriously wrong with them!
Maybe it's not so much 'disliking Stevie' as much as it is actually 'liking Lindsey more', or is that a crime in your book too?
Or is this just another opportunity for some Stevie fans to wallow in collective self-pity, "those buckheads are so meeeeeaaann!!!"

Ah, yes. You nailed it.
Ever stop to think that maybe Lindsey fans would like to see a Lindsey show since we don't really get them too often? Is that difficult to comprehend? Stevie's all over the place in comparison and it would have been nice to see her sit this one out (another extreme understatement).
How dare someone not want to see Stevie and would want to watch Lindsey Buckingham instead?! The nerve!

Or is this just another opportunity for some Stevie fans to wallow in collective self-pity, "those buckheads are so meeeeeaaann!!!"Absolutely not, Mari. I have never said, or even felt, that everyone around here should love Stevie.
I just think it's more than a little unreasonable, with all due respect, for Lindsey fans to vent their frustrations towards her for the lack of material and/or tours from him.
Really, Stevie's singing on two songs on 'Soundstage,' which, totalled together, will probably only take up a mere 8 minutes in a 60 minute broadcast. And they're only harmony vocals at that. It's not like she hi-jacked Lindsey's performance to sing her own songs. He's still the star of the show.
And, hey, if people do tune in just because Stevie's there, but come away from it with a new-found appreciation for Lindsey (the benefit of which, is that it increases the likelyhood of stronger sales for his album, and, hopefully a solo tour) -- isn't that a great thing?
(still luv yah, Johnny ;) Or at least our asses are sharing a condo)I still love ya, too. Plus, we can't be arguing while our asses are trying to live in marital bliss!

Stevie's all over the place in comparison and it would have been nice to see her sit this one out (another extreme understatement). The sad fact of the matter is that Lindsey's not a big enough "name" to draw people in. As I said to Mari, if Stevie's presence is required to get people to tune in, so be it -- because it gives Lindsey an opportunity to reach, and impress, an even bigger audience than he would have without her.
In the longrun, that benefits his fans.
How dare someone not want to see Stevie and would want to watch Lindsey Buckingham instead?! The nerve! The idea that her presence for a measly 7 or 8 minutes of harmony vocals somehow prevents it from being his show, is ridiculous. She'll be on and gone in a flash. The rest will be pure, unadulterated Buckingham.
From all reports, Lindsey asked her to be there... it's not like she forced her way on stage. She did a sweet favor for her friend and bandmate.

When PBS gives Ron Isley, Peter Cetera, and George Jones their own Soundstage shows, that argument holds no water.
For cripes sake, we're talking about PBS here, not ABC.

No one ever said her appearance "prevents it from being his show," people simply said that they would prefer an entirely solo Lindsey show. What posts are you reading?

Your point? I don't give a rat's ass. The fact remains that I want to see him, not her. She can do all the "sweet favors" in the world for him, it still doesn't mean I care to see her stout self at what could possibly be the last solo show he ever plays.

When PBS gives Ron Isley, Peter Cetera, and George Jones their own Soundstage shows, that argument holds no water.Ron, Pete and George were pretty big names in their respective genres. "Lindsey Buckingham" has never been a recognizable name outside of Fleetwood Mac.

Your only issue is that it's Stevie.
But as I said, she's singing harmony vocals on two short little songs. That's all. Nothing more.

I know, I'm just feeling sorry for myself. LOL I thought about this last night before I went to sleep and how I missed out. :( The thing is...this show happened in what, March 2003? Back then, I was in the mindset that I couldn't go on my own anywhere (I'm an only child, and my mom is VERY overprotective), even though Seteca was like "Why don't you go?!" and I was all "I can't go by myself." and then, when they announced the England shows, I went "Like h*ll I can't go by myself, I'm not missing THIS opportunity!! Mom will have to deal." So, I go to England alone and since then, I've gone to the Woodlands show AND to see Justin Guarini down in Beaumont. I may be almost 30, but sometimes, I feel 12. :distress: It's like pulling teeth with my mother about things. We fight all the time about me going alone. I understand where she comes from, but I need to get out and away from her wing, ya know? She doesn't understand that. Everytime I wanna go do something, she mentions having to work, and I say "My point is....I wanna do this myself, mom." It's not that I don't wanna do stuff with her, I see her a lot and we get together all the time. I just don't want it to be 100% of the time, I have friends who I wanna hang out with too, ya know?
My mom grew up with a hateful mother, and I know she doesn't wanna be like her. She and her mother are NOT close, and she wants to be close with me because of that...I understand that. I just feel smothered sometimes.
Sorry about the rant, I just needed to vent, I guess.

Ah, yes. Ron, Pete, and George are going to pull in much bigger audiences at 1:30am on PBS than Lindsey Buckingham would at 1:30am on PBS. Give me a break.
But that's exactly my point -- how is it not still entirely Lindsey's show?
You fail to see my point, yet again. I don't care to see anyone but Lindsey. Get it? We don't get solo shows often, I'd like to have one that's just him and not fodder for the Stevie forum to squeal in orgasmic delight at how "thin as a rail" she looks in her matronly button-down get-ups.
The reality is that the old broad is going to make that appearance on his episode of Soundstage, but it doesn't mean that I, or anyone else, can't express my disappointment that she's going to take up those 8 minutes you love to refer to when we could have been treated to something off of Out of the Cradle or another solo album. We got an entire tour of them singing together and it's been immortalized on DVD, I'm not exactly clamoring for more at the moment.
If you are, that's fine. Enjoy it. I'll probably enjoy "Say Goodbye," myself. But I still would have loved for her to take a hike for this one thing.
If Brian Wilson had wandered out on stage... wouldn't it still be Lindsey's show? I'd venture to say that nary a soul would complain about it.

I hope you never call me out for condescension; I'll have to refer back to this post of yours.
I'm sure there's a mystyckal & magyckal Stevie lyric out there that you could be interpreting instead of trying to pinpoint what makes me happy and what doesn't.
I guess it sucks to be you then. But be sure to take up all future complaints about his lack of performances with Mr. Eraserhead personally.
There you go again, possums. Making it sound as if people are accusing Stevie for Lindsey's lack of performances. I won't even attempt to make sense of that logic.
Oh, and be sure to chuck something at the screen everytime they show Stevie on Soundstage -- maybe it'll make you feel better.
Nah, she's not worth sullying my television screen for.
Dis, I love you :xoxo:
I guess Johnny's ass will feel betrayed now, sorry.
Why does this have to turn into a Lindsey vs. Stevie thing, I ask you. I am a Lindsey fan first and foremost and if he did the show without Stevie I would be happy, but if she is there as well I will not complain and I am still happy. Obviously, she is a draw...but if you already know that, and most people already know that, do we have to make a huge deal about it if some Lindsey fans want just him alone?
I am not trying to sound rude, but it just seems that some people always jump to the defense whenever anything, even things not remotely insulting, are said about Stevie. I like her a great deal myself, but not everyone is her biggest fan (same can be said, vice versa about LB). So I do see the point made by people who want just Lindsey and I don't understand why there needs to be a "You Lindsey fans are knocking Stevie" thing made. :) Sorry...
Oh, and this is not in anyway meant to be an antagonizing post. More an observation. I feel Lindsey is great on his own and should deserve atleast the acknowledgement that, although Stevie may be far more popular, he is still a remarkably brilliant artist whom people do love and would enjoy to see by himself performing either his FM or solo work. That is all. No offense meant whatsoever.
I did see Brian Wilson :woohoo: , less than a month ago. Hm, it would be very interesting to hear LB cover some Beach Boys songs. But I want the solo concert FIRST!

Diss just so you know you have lost many brownie points from me because of that one. It just doesn't seem right to mention George Jones in the same sentence after Ron Isley and *vomit* Peter Cetera. My favourite Sinatra quote ever is that George is the second greatest singer in the world (after himself of course). To country fans George Jones is a God. (btw George is actually one of the biggest selling country artists ever).
Back on topic, I find this argument weird. I'm just glad we're getting a Lindsey concert. If that means he hauls out Stevie for a couple of songs, so be it. You're all like children whining "but I wanted my ice cream with a big cherry on top wah, wah...". Get over it, it's still ice cream m'dears and we're lucky to have it!

We don't get solo shows often, I'd like to have one that's just him and not fodder for the Stevie forum to squeal in orgasmic delight at how "thin as a rail" she looks in her matronly button-down get-ups.I've said it before -- if we over on the Stevie Forum annoy you as badly as you like to make it sound, and if you're as "over" her as you say you are, then you should stop bothering to read or post there. Give Lindsey the attention he deserves here on his forum, and you'd no longer have to be bothered with our inane little conversations!
The reality is that the old broad is going to make that appearance on his episode of Soundstage, but it doesn't mean that I, or anyone else, can't express my disappointment that she's going to take up those 8 minutes you love to refer to when we could have been treated to something off of Out of the Cradle or another solo album.I still fail to see why it matters so much, when she's just singing a harmony vocal on his songs.
Now, if she had trotted out "Rhiannon" or "Stand Back," I could see where you're coming from.

Back then, I was in the mindset that I couldn't go on my own anywhere (I'm an only child, and my mom is VERY overprotective), even though Seteca was like "Why don't you go?!" and I was all "I can't go by myself."
My mom grew up with a hateful mother, and I know she doesn't wanna be like her. She and her mother are NOT close, and she wants to be close with me because of that...I understand that. I just feel smothered sometimes.
Sorry about the rant, I just needed to vent, I guess. :shrug:No need to apologize, Christy... we all need to get things off of our chest from time to time.
It is definitely a shame that you didn't get to attend the Soundstage taping. You'd have had a great time, I'm sure, and, sweetheart that you are, you most definitely deserved that opportunity.
I do think you're still going to have some great chances to see him solo though. I don't have any inside scoop or anything, but I have a feeling that he will do some kind of tour... how ever small... at some point in the not-too-distant future. And the nice thing is, those shows will be every bit as special and intimate as the Soundstage performance.

pfft, copycats :p
Love you all, but I want to see LINDSEY!!!
I do, too, Mari. I'm very excited for this show, even though I have a feeling the one song I'm most looking forward to seeing... "Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind"... might not make it on the broadcast.
But I'm sure it'll be included on the DVD, so I can be patient until then.
Come to think of it, I can't wait to see "Murrow" either, and to hear how it translated to the stage.
We're definitely in for a treat. :)

I'd much rather see Holiday Road, but what are the chances on that one, eh

Too bad though, because it would have been great to see.

Now let's all gang up up on poor Mr. Stew for this wonderful comment. I have never seen Brian Wilson live and don't know practically any of his music. So I personally would be rather peaved if he showed up to rain on Mr. Buckingham's ever so rare parade. If anyone had to crash the party, I would rather it be Ms. Nicks because I know her and am a fan. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't prefer it be all Buckingham all the time. When was the last time he did any sort of solo performance? There was the Here Comes the Sun thing, but before that, I don't know of any after 1992. It's like she's his security blanket. He should do something, sometime that's just him.
I agree with everything you said except the Brian Wilson comment and this:
It's like she's his security blanket.
Bassackwards my friend.
Yes, he did ask her to be there. I don't think it was because he needed her draw for PBS. He wanted her there. I'd have preferred him alone because we rarely get that. If we are blaming anyone for it then blame Lindsey. He asked her. She did it. I'm cool with it

One of America's most renowned and successful bands?
Anyway, you sure it didnt say "September 8, 3005"?
Sorry for the sarcasm, I'd love to see this!

I don't actual think she's his security blanket, I just meant that lately, she's always been there whenever he's in the public eye. It's almost as if he doesn't think he could get along without her there, purely from an observer's point of view.
It's in the eye of the beholder. :)
As for the Brian Wilson thing, you don't believe me that I don't know him or his music well?
No. I believe you. It doesn't apply to me. That's all.

Oh and you've never taken the condescending route Lux?
I was actually making a joke.
Some people may have been making a preference, but others came across to me as complaining. It's such a negative way to look at it. I mean, shouldn't we be celebrating the fact that we actually get to see a Lindsey concert at all?
Whatever. Complain away if you wish.

I guess that's a matter of opinion Lux.
I certainly at times have felt I was being talked down to by you.
Anyway, let the discussion resume. I didn't mean for this to turn serious.

I've said it before -- if we over on the Stevie Forum annoy you as badly as you like to make it sound, and if you're as "over" her as you say you are, then you should stop bothering to read or post there. Give Lindsey the attention he deserves here on his forum, and you'd no longer have to be bothered with our inane little conversations!
I already rarely bother with the inane "Sister of the Boob" ****, the threads about her overbite, and the conversations about which hairstyle was her best one. They don't interest me. Paula's "Like or Dislike" threads have been the best things to hit that forum in a long time, they're actually interesting and discuss her music. Granted, there are only so many things people can talk about before they begin to work their way into circles, but I'll be the judge of what I'll read and won't read.
It's easy for you to say "Give Lindsey the attention he deserves here on this forum" when the guy doesn't release any material, make appearances, do live shows, or give us anything remotely new to talk about these days. I'm uninterested in talking about his ex-girlfriends (and seeing threads I can't really participate in because I know zilch about guitars), just as I'm uninterested in talking about Stevie's dental imperfections.
I still fail to see why it matters so much, when she's just singing a harmony vocal on his songs.
Now, if she had trotted out "Rhiannon" or "Stand Back," I could see where you're coming from.
Crikey. You can lead a horticulture, but you can't make her think.
Doesn't that beat all... you taking someone to task for condescension. But at least I got my belly-laugh for the day!
You own all of Stevie's solo albums, so I'm quite surprised that you need me to make you laugh.
Ouch. That was scathing. And so dead-on.
Yeah, it didn't have the same bite as "I'm only happy when it rains..." I suppose.
-10 for me.
I didn't say that, so don't put words in my mouth.
In pointing out the absurdity of whining that Stevie has gone and ruined Lindsey's rare chance in the spotlight
There you go again. Putting words in my mouth. I wasn't aware that by saying I was sick of Stevie and would have loved a Lindsey only show, I was also saying that "Stevie has gone and ruined Lindsey's rare chance in the spotlight."
I was just reminding you to direct your frustrations at the lack of LB solo shows to the man himself.
I also wasn't aware that I was blaming anyone but Lindsey. It feels as if words were deposited in my mouth by someone else...again.

Off topic - wait, no, back on topic? Whatever...
WNED (the Buffalo PBS affiliate) finally has it scheduled for Saturday 10/8 at 1am. Better than nothing, I suppose.

I just came back here to post that very info! (I was away for a week; missed this). I can't believe they've finally scheduled it!!! Especially after they said they likely wouldn't. Maybe it was the impromptu email campaign launched by several of us...

lindeybuckingham.com reporting that Lindsey's management has approved the September 8 airdate, so I guess it's official.
At the taping, a couple of memories:
Lindsey complaining that his new shoes were too tight.
When the show started off with Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind, I knew it was going to be special.
Fans calling out for Holiday Road and Neale Heywood playing a few chords and sharing a laugh with Lindsey (apparently, Neale suggested that it be in the set, but obviously it did not make the cut).
Someone yelled out Miranda and Lindsey stated he has never played that song before (obviously he meant Live).
After a short break, Brett Tuggle was nowhere to be found. Showed up a few minutes later complaining about the chili he had earlier in the day.
Hearing Murrow live was great, as was the scaled back version of Trouble was magnificent (the best version I've ever heard). These versions were so fresh, it was like I had never heard them before.
Down on Rodeo was a pleasant surprise. I think he omitted the "can you hear me Annie" from the live version.
Lindsey probably could have played longer, but wanted to be with his wife (winking and saying "if you know what I mean") before she flew back to California.
Gosh, I hope they put this show on DVD, including the audience requests of Save Me a Place and Bleed to Love Her.
