View Full Version : Posting problems anyone?

Anyone else having problems? If I post an answer, it sends me to a "cannot display page" error page, then if I hit "refresh" I get a link that says "no thread specified" and an email to "alert the webmaster." Which I did. And then it gives me the option to choose a page again. It's been happening for a few days. My answer gets posted, but I have a long process to follow to get back to the thread I was posting in.
Is it just me?

That's happened to me for a few days, but I thought I was the only one.
Last night I got disconnected on earthlink - that has never happened to me before - so I think it might be my computer after all.

It's still happening to me - about 99% of the time. I'm about ready to throw my computer out the window.

At home, it's fine. At work, it's been about 90% of the time for the past few days. I thought my boss was trying to cut my Ledge time. :o

I'm starting to have troubles with it too, I restarted to see if that would help. First time it's ever happened to me since I joined, actually.

Someone told me they were having problems but it seems to be working fine now.
5 minutes ago, however, it wouldn't even let me on the page at all...

I still am, too, every single time I post an answer. Been like this for about 5 days now.

It's been ok for me this morning. I'm almost afraid to say that; I don't want to jinx myself. :p

Happens to me sometimes of late. That & my screen freezes if two of us post in the same thread at the same time. Brings me back to my AOL days of five years ago. :distress:

It was screwed late night last night. "Connection refused" was the answer I kept getting. I did manage to get on for one page once, then was denied going any further. Damned hackers!

I think I recall Marty saying the issue wasn't hackers and something entirely different -- last night there were well over 100 people -- I don't know what software this is run on but perhaps it wasn't able to handle that?

Hmmm. It was like 3AM when I was trying. At that hour, there are usually only about 10 people on the Ledge. I didn't get to see the head count though....

^ There have been a lot of people on before & this never happened - how many were on when we were in Vegas waiting for setlist info?
Something's up, between the entire site going down several times last night & our "page cannot be displayed" errors.

I was trying to get in then. The best I could do was google a posting name, get in that way (sometimes) and then not be able to go forwards or backwards. Happened several times. My bookmark didn't work at all.
