They have these in other forums to notify fan groups of torrent downloads, why not here?

I just re-seeded the Village Recorder demos, if anyone here doesn't have them already.

http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?returnto=%2Faccount-cp.php&id=51453

Description:
These are a set of rough demos by Lindsey Buckingham c. 1993-1996.
Some were brought to fruition with Fleetwood Mac, some can be found on other unreleased collections, some are unique to this collection.

Please note: Many of these are very rough and therefore not of interest to just a casual fan. Deep Dense, Try for the Sun, She Smiled Sweetly, Someone's Got to Change Your Mind, Blue Turns To Grey, and Down On Rodeo are complete tracks, though even some of these are unmixed and have an unfinished quality.

These came to me on two discs although they would fit on one.

Lineage: Cassette>CD-R>EAC>wav>flac

Track listing:

Vol. 1
1. Try for the Sun - Cass.
2. Try for the Sun - Track
3. She Smiled Sweetly
4. Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind
5. Deep Dense - Cass.
6. Deep Dense - Track 1
7. My Little Demon - Gtrs.
8. Given Thing - Demo 1

Vol. 2
1. Steves Riff - Cass.
2. Steves Riff - Track
3. Deep Dense - Track 2
4. My Little Demon - Track (cut)
5. Down on Rodeo - Demo
6. Down on Rodeo - Track
7. Blue Turns to Grey
8. Given Thing - Demo 2

Artwork is included (three files). This was not in the original seed, but I added it for this re-seed. It is what came with the CDs. The song list is written in Lindsey's own hand, according to the source. Since the originals came in two volumes, the cover art is for those two volumes (the back cover art is the same for both).

Buckingham Nicks - Coffee Plant Demos

These are Buckingham Nicks demos c. 1970-1974.

They are called the "coffee plant demos" because Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks used to record in the basement of Lindsey's father's coffee plant before they went to LA to get a record deal. However, I feel that it is a bit of a misnomer because we know Sorcerer and Garbo were written after the couple arrived in LA. Regardless, these are wonderful quality demos. While some of these were released later by Stevie or Fleetwood Mac, the gem Without You, the aptly named Cathouse Blues, and the quaint Goldfish and the Ladybug never made it off the shelf. Authorship is not documented in those cases, but although Without You may have been co-written, it is safe to say the others were penned by Stevie.

As you can see, the songs have more than one version. The only differences I can discern between the versions are which instruments are brought forward in the mix, as indicated.

1. Without You (Acoustic Guitar/Vocal)
2. Nomad aka Candlebright (Acoustic Guitar/Vocal)
3. That's Alright aka Designs of Love (Acoustic Guitar/Vocal)
4. Garbo (Acoustic Guitar/Vocal)
5. Sorcerer (Acoustic Guitar/Vocal/No Drum Machine)
6. Cathouse Blues (Acoustic Guitar/Vocal)
7. Goldfish and the Ladybug (Acoutic Guitar/Vocal)
8. Without You (Bass/Vocal)
9. Nomad aka Candlebright (Alternate Acoustic Guitar/Vocal)
10. That's Alright aka Designs of Love (Bass/Vocal)
11. Garbo (Bass/Vocal)
12. Sorcerer (Bass/Drum Machine/Vocal)
13. Cathouse Blues (Bass/Vocal)
14. Goldfish and the Ladybug (Vocal Only)

Hello, I'm new here. First post ever. I need help with Torrent stuff. I downloaded the program and such, and it seems to be working alright. It shows up on my dock (I'm on a Mac with OSX) but whenever I try to download files, it just... doesn't. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but after I click on the download link on dimeadozen, I go to file > open torrent file and open the file that went to my desktop. Then a little window comes up, and it says:

File: (268.0MiB)
Time Remaining: connecting to peers
Last Error: bad data from tracker -
Download Rate: 0.0 KiB/s
Upload Rate: 0.0 KiB/s
and in the bottom right corner, Connected to 0 peers.

It stays like that. Never changes.
I have NO idea what I'm doing wrong, or what I'm doing overall. If someone could help me, I'd appriciate it greatly!

Christy, there's a red number next to your username at Dime, this means you're firewalled. That's making your download slower. I'm seeding this show to you but it's not connecting like it should. Cool, a show I was at. (balcony, 3rd row, dead center)

The set list was basically the same as the rest of the tour's. Using the Wash DC set as a guide, I'm almost positive he did "Wrong" (after "Doing What I Can")...which he'd only done once or twice previously on the tour....AND, they did "Holiday Road" after "Eyes Of The World" and before "Soul Drifter".

Now whether these made it onto the recording, I have no idea.

Lindsey Buckingham - Gift Of Screws
Unreleased album from 2000 / 2001

http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=67019

joeyjay notes: This is a re-seed from February 2005, originally
posted by fmfanuk, who gets all due credit here. This is fabulous
stuff, and all original files are included. The only difference is
the actual folder name, which I had to create because person
who archived it for me went inside the folder before saving all
the files. Anyway, I know this was a hugely popular DL at the time
but thought I'd offer up again for those who missed it or are relatively
new to DIME. Thanks again to fmfanuk for the original share. The original
notes are below. Enjoy ...

Linage: CDR -> EAC -> WAV -> FLAC

Lindsey Buckingham's hugely anticipated follow-up
to his 1992 masterpiece 'Out Of The Cradle', Gift Of Screws
was recorded in the years that followed Cradle right up
until 2000, the album was submitted to the record company
'Warners Brothers (Reprise) and a decision was taken not
to release the album but to re-record the tracks with
Fleetwood Mac and release them on the next Fleetwood
Mac studio album 'Say You Will' which was released in 2003.

MP3s of this CD surfaced on the internet in 2001 and are
believed to be the mixed tracks but not mastered tracks
from "Gift Of Screws", recording date believed to be 2000 / 2001,
this collection is a copy of the submitted CD of Gift Of Screws.

This collection contains the only copy of the lossless files
currently in circulation. No editing of the tracks have
been done and the songs are brought to you exactly as on the CD.

His version of ISA from that LA show is spec-frickin'-tacular! I was never crazy about the ISA's from the OOTC tour, but this....I need a cig! His vocal is superb and intense. What a terrific solo too! The Go Insane from that show is awesome as well.

His voice just soared during the OOTC tour, it was so powerful and gripping.

Well it's not thieving, but it bugs the hell out of me that someone traded for this DVD (probably from me) and is now lining their pockets on eBay with sometimes the DVD reaching an obscene amount of money.

So if this torrent gets to the potential buyers then their will be no market for the sellers.
