Strangely enough all of Stevie's title tracks are either my favorite song on the album or second favorite, with the exception of The Wild Heart. If I absolutely had to pick my favorite it would be Trouble in Shangri-La. What is your favorite title track?

I would also have to pick Trouble in Shangri-La. It is one of her top songs of any album, plus it's just because Trouble in Shangri-La is my favorite album of her solo work anyways...

I think I would have to go with Trouble In Shangrila also...it is one of my faves!

Tough call between Bella Donna and Trouble in Shangri La but I chose Bella Donna.

Oooh! That's a hard one.

My vote went to Bella Donna, though it was a tough choice between TISL and Wild Heart.

I was in Cape Cod for a week or so with my little doggies seen here (Wynn ee the Pooh of the left and Laine on the right) :

and here is Wynn ee the Pooh getting a big Award of Merit at a show last May

There was little to no comp. access on the Cape, which was nice actually

Very tough - but I went with Bella Donna.

I'd have to say RAL is my least favorite; the others are pretty close together. If forced to choose:

1 - Bella Donna
2 - TISL
3 - Wild Heart
4 - Street Angel
5 - RAL

I guess I would have to go with this order:

1. Wild Heart
2. TISL
3. Bella Donna
4. Rock A Little
5. Street Angel

I'm surprised but thrilled that WH is getting votes.

1) Wild Heart
2) Rock A Little and Bella Donna (I can't choose and you can't make me. )
3) Trouble In Shangri-La (Much love for the chorus!)
4) Any future Stevie title songs
5) Street Angel
6) Anything
7) Alice

TISL is my favorite. Second place goes to Bella Donna.

If Alice was on the list, I would have picked that song... but I went with TISL. That song is just such a rocker and has great lyrics.

Has anyone else noticed that Stevie's most acclaimed albums always have the title track as the first song on the album, while her more obscure albums have the title track somewhere else in the mix? Bella Donna, Wild Heart, and Trouble in Shangrila are what I'm talking about...

I love Alice as well and I thought about putting it on the list but it's not really considered a title track (I don't think?), it just goes with the theme. I am sure it would have been in last place though if it had been a choice
:( .

I chose Bella Donna mainly because it came from her first solo album and I remember the anticipation leading up to the album's release. Whenever I hear the song it takes me back... Plus, she looked so hot on the cover :D

It would have beat Street Angel because Alicelover and I would have voted for it! But your right, it's not really a title track, even though she does say "The other side of the mirror"

This is a hard one! I love "Wild Heart" just because it is probably one of the prettiest songs I have ever heard. The music is beautiful and it has a rockin' beat. I know this sounds weird but this song makes me feel all warm when I listen to it. And Stevie's vocals are AWESOME! The lyrics are good as well. So this is the one I chose.

I also love "Rock A Little" because it is so odd, yet very sexy.

And "Trouble In Shangri-La" is a very powerful song, and it uses todays modern technology to good use, which I think Stevie needs to take advantage of a little more often.

Holy crap - this one was hard. I had to sit here and think, and even sing to myself  for a few minutes... Rock A Little or Trouble in Shangri La...

I went with Rock A Little. I have loved this song so much for so long. I love the mood of it - very sexy, as svnwndrs said, very sensual. My favourite line has to be "he knows his daughter, says, where does she live? He says, 'oh up there... somewhere...'" LOVE that.

Exactly. I picture her in a room matching the back cover of the album, at the Emmiline Bordello, where the Madame of the house, Lady Celani, waves you over.

I went with Wild Heart but it was a tough, tough choice because I adore TISL. Ultimately, WH won out over TISL because I've loved that song for so many years now. Rock A Little would be a close third by the way.

RAL is something exquisite! Her voice is raw, magnificent, and chilling. So volnurable and you can just hear her pain. Almost like a little girl crying out...And the sound of the music, so soulful with that incredible bass line. I feel like I am right there with her as she is playing the piano. No other Stevie song has the unique sound, I only wish there were more like it. It's very R&B to me and we see a side of Stevie we don't often get to see.

1) Wild Heart
2) Bella Donna + TISL
3)Street Angel
4)Alice (if we're counting it)

WH just makes me smile. BD/TISL vie for first, therefore tie at second.

i refuse to rank RAL, as the only list i put it on would be the least played slash most hated list.

RAL: Her voice is raw, magnificent, and chilling. So volnurable and you can just hear her pain. Almost like a little girl crying out...... No other Stevie song has the unique sound...

i question the 'magnificent' part, though fully agree with 'raw' and 'chilling' though i think we define them differently (you as good, me as not so much). i hear the pain in that song, i feel it too. that little girl crying, that's me. i'm crying 'skip it now goddammit'... and i'm quite pleased that no other stevie song has this 'unique' sound.

i know a lot of people just love RAL, and i just don't get it. to each his own. hey, i love Inspiration and apparently everyone else just plain old loathes it!

is there a RAL demo out that that sounds nothing like the album track that could help me understand? i want to understand!

The thing about loving songs is you really cannot make yourself LOVE a song. It's like a particular kind of food, some you can aquire a taste for and others you won't no matter how hard you try. You can try listening to it over and over but don't force it. If it's meant to happen the RAL love will come eventually but if not, just accept it :). I do have a cd of the RAL writing process with her playing the piano and talking while composing with Mick in the background. It helped me fall in love with it even more. I can probably send that to you but I'm not sure it will help!

I chose Wild Heart
But, as everyone else has mentioned- Hard decision

I used to love Belladonna but now thanks to some ledgie, ,all I hear is phoney/pony rhyme and it does sound rather silly
I Love the music for Trouble in Shangra La, but the lyrics are a little weak-Can't get by the...I remember him, he was very young... (I thought the song was about Bobby Kennedy for the longest time..and maybe it really is...
Never heard Street Angel
and didn't care for the "Alice" albulm...
That said, I also love RAL but she is so very small, weak and tiny, (know what I mean?) on that sad song....
so I chose Wild Heart
Great Lyrics-Great vocals- Great spirit in that song...

Just my thoughts

This isn't hard for me at all:

1. Bella Donna
2. Wild Heart
3. TISL
4. Rock a Little
5. Street Angel
6. Alice

Shouldn't Enchanted be a choice? If so, it is between RAL and SA for me.

1. Bella Donna
2. Trouble In Shangri La
3. Wild Heart
4. Enchanted (shouldn't the box set be included?)
5. Rock A Little
6. Alice (the defacto title song for TOSOTM)
7. Street Angel

She's always had very strong and moving title tracks, so it all looks pretty even to me. I went with "RAL" though, I seem to have a slightly stronger connection to it than to the others.
